Geet so jao, baad main gussa kar lena, with that said he left the room, Geet couldn't help but smile a little, she remembered their little convo, never had she been so comfortable with someone within a day. She lay back down to catch up on her sleep, and slowly closed her eyes.

Geet hurriedly grabbed her things and quickly dressed Pari and fed her, she cursed herself for waking up so late, she partially blamed Maan as well. It was already 9 o' clock.

Geet walked down with Pari, as she was about to leave Dadima called from behind.

Bete breakfast toh kar lijiye

Nahi Dadima woh late ho chuki hoon

Maan kuch nahi kahega

Nahi yeh baat nahi hai, bas main... main wahan jaa ke kar loongi

Ek minute, Dadima excused herself, Geet waited for her to return, she knew Maan wouldn't say anything but she didn't want to take advantage as he's done a lot for her.

Dadima came back, - yeh lijiye, she passed a box,- raaste main kha lijiye.

Dadima iss ki kya zarurat ti?

Zarurat ti, aap bemaar par jayenge agar aise kaam karenge.

Thank you, Geet whispered taking the box, never had she had so much affection since she left her parents, she placed a kiss on Dadima's cheeks and left.

Dadima smiled and was happy that Geet was getting a little comfortable.

Geet, sasha called out to her as she reached near her cabin

Why are you late?

I'll answer IF he asks, Geet replied and entered her cabin ignoring sasha.

She placed Pari down and got down to her work without eating the breakfast Dadima gave her.

Dadima called Maan on his phone.

Maan bete Geet pohuch gayi

Uss ne khana khaya

Ji?

Humne breakfast diya ta, ghar pe nahi khayi iss liye

Erm Dadima woh sirf abhi ayi hai, shayad todhi baad kha sakti hai

Teek hai bete lekin khayal rukhiye ke woh khaye warna tabiyat kharab ho sakti hai

Teek hai bete, aur main aapke liye aur Geet ke liye ghar se lunch bejwa dungi

He bid bye and looked through the blinds to see had Geet eaten, seeing the box on her desk, he realised she hadn't ate.

Maan sighed heavily, he didn't want to force her or anything or even interfere knowing that she may just start distancing herself.

He called her on her extension,

Hello, she answered the phone.

Geet tumne khana khaya?

Ji? Woh

Geet woh Dadima pooch rahe hai, agar khana nahi khaya toh pareshaan honge isi liye

Ji woh main kha lungi

Teek hai, aur khane ke baad, mere cabin mein ana

After she ate, she checked Pari once before leaving towards his cabin, at that time sasha also entered Maan's cabin, Geet sighed knowing she'll definitely say something.

She knocked on the door and waited for Maan to call her in.

Maan called her in, as she entered she saw sasha stood really close to him in the pretext of showing the blueprints.

Beto Geet.

Geet sat down, sasha glared at her, Maan hadn't a clue as he was busy with the blueprints.

Here, and you can leave, he told sasha, passing her the blueprints after checking them.

Sasha passed a look at Geet then left, Maan turned to her and spoke.

Aaj Mr Mehra aa rahe hai, aur tum unke project pe kaam kar rahe ho, isi liye tum har meetings pe, har party, sab kuch main shamil hona hoga.

Geet looked a little resistant, and Maan sensed it, but he couldn't do much as she was doing the project and there s no one available to take over at the moment.

Geet look there's nothing to be afraid of, I'll be with you on each step of the project, and there's going to be karishma to help you.

She nodded, then excused herself.

Maan knew she may need some time hence decided to leave her alone then may be speak to her at home.

Geet was in the cabin, though she wanted to the project, her fear overtook her senses, the fact of working with strangers as well as they're men scared her, she knew Maan will be their to support her but...

Geet sighed heavily after thinking about it and decided to do the project, as Maan helped her so much and she could repay a little bit back to him.

She picked the phone and called him, Maan picked the phone up.

Woh main yeh kehna chahti ti ke er...woh

Geet bina jijak ke kehdo, agar uss project ke baare main aur tum nahi karna chahte toh phir main tumhe zabardasti nahi karna chahta

Maan was elated hearing her say she'd do the project- Geet are you sure? he asked still wanting to make sure she'll be fine and she agreed full heartedly

Both cut the call, Geet was happy that she atleast done something that pleased him

Maan then explained how he met Geet, he liked her at that very instant but didn't know about his feelings till Dadima told him.

Oh so Maan Singh Khurana has finally fallen in love

Maan smiled and looked at Geet through the partition.. Yeah he has, Maan answered.

Dadima sent lunch for the both of them, since most of the staff went out Maan called her in his cabin and both did lunch together, as there was a little time, Maan spent some time with Pari after she was fed.

The day went well, Geet done all her research for the project with Mr mehra, in the meeting she looked at Maan, he assured her with his eyes he'll be here, she then spoke with as much courage as she gathered, once they had the deal signed, Maan looked at Geet with appreciation thanking her for handling it well, she smiled back,

She returned to her cabin after the meeting and planned for the upcoming meetings and the party all according to the clients which will take place 3weeks later, in the evening after she finished she cleared everything, picked Pari in her arms who was fast asleep made her way to leave, as she reached outside she looked for a taxi, then saw a car stop before her.

She bent her head to see who it was.

Maan she muttered out, but then stood there.

Maan opened his window, Geet it's obvious if a car comes and waits before you it means it's for you so if you can please sit

yeh joke ta?

ok sorry.. please sit Dadima wait kar rahe hai, woh humare begair dinner nahi karenge

she opened the door and sat down, then Maan started driving.

So Pari hamesha soti rehti hai kya? Maan asked because most of the time he sees her she's sleeping.

Nahi woh abhi so gayi ti, lekin cabin main kitni baatein kar rahi ti

Woh bol bhi sakti hai

Aise nahi woh khud se apne basha main

Oh.. he chuckled.

Geet passed a polite smile.

They reached home, both went straight to their rooms to freshen up, after dinner Maan went to his study and Geet went to the room, she settled Pari down then decided to catch up with her work for the training centre.

It'd been 2 weeks that Geet and Maan have been married, both worked professionally, and at home they were friendly, Maan secretly used to teach Pari how to say 'papa' but unfortunately Pari never could say it, only thing she says was 'ma' Geet did get comfortable with everyone in the household, however she had her barrier when Prem, and dev were present and with the women she had healty relationship, though she didn't make much conversation. Pari had won everyone's heart within these two weeks, her cute antics and talks always brought a smile to everyone's face. NT and Heer offered to keep her when Geet goes to office and her training centre, so it'd be easier for her to work, though Geet didn't want to accept, she had to knowing it'll be easier for her to finish her work.

It was a usual day, Geet and Maan had returned from the office, all were in the hall, after both of them freshened up, they had dinner with Dadima. Geet and Dadima joined everyone in the hall whilst Maan went to the study.

ma..ma Pari stuttered out seeing Geet enter the hall, she wriggled out of Sam's arms and crawled over to Geet.

Hawww Pari tumne aunty ko chodke chale gaye ho

Mama.. she said and clapped her hands as Geet picked her up

Sam rubbed her eyes pretending to be crying, Pari mujhe chodke chali gayi, which caused the toddlers to laugh out loud.

Geet took a seat next to heer, who had naina( NT's daughter) in her arms.

Over in the study, Maan was frustrated and was shouting over the phone.

He cut the call angrily and walked off, everyone saw him walking off to his room.

Dadima was about to get up to check but she was overwhelmed by the changes in Geet as she stood to go to their room.

Geet entered to see Maan dressed in his formal attire and packing.

Aap kahi jaa rahe ho? She asked a little worried, wondering how she'll stay here alone if he isn't here.

Ek problem hogaya London ke office main, mujhe khud jaake solve karna hoga.

She nodded still looking scared of him leaving her alone here,

As Maan packed, he looked at Geet.

Geet pareshaan kyun ho?

Woh agar aap jayenge toh main kaise rahungi?

He smiled a little seeing her pout, he walked towards her, kuch hi din ke baat hai promise, agar zaruri nahi hota toh main nahi jata, par tum fikr mat karo sab yahan hai, tumhe koi pareshani nahi hogi

Par Maan mujhe darr lagta hai woh akele aur aap bhi yahan nahi hai

He realised that Geet was getting used to his prescensce which was a good sign,

I promise you there isn't anything to be scared of, no one will say or do anything to upset you.

She nodded, believing him, but she couldn't help the tears which gathered.

Oh Geet, please, he whispered and hugged her unconsciously, Geet didn't protest.

Both broke away with Pari's voice who was also in his embrace.

She looked at Maan with an angry pout, hugging Geet by her neck in a protective manner, shooing Maan away.. ma..ma she said,

Geet and Maan chuckled

Ok baby, tumhari mama hai, Maan said as he pulled her cheeks gently.

Pari gave a toothy smile, Maan picked his suitcase and walked to leave, he stopped before Geet and pecked Pari's cheeks. Pari wiped her cheeks pouting.

He then cupped Geet's cheek gently- take care of yourself and Pari

She nodded, and he placed a gentle peck and left. Geet looked at his retreating back, she wondered to herself how come she didn't protest his touch, why didn't she feel disgust when he touched her?

Geet went down to see him one last time, he was bidding bye to everyone, she stood at the back and watched him. What was it about him that she couldn't bring herself to hate him as she hated all the other men around her, he looked at her one more time and passed a smile, then turned to leave

pa... pa Pari spoke, shocking everyone. Maan turned and looked at her with a huge smile, he literally ran over and took her in his arms.

Geet Pari ne mujhe papa kahan, uss ne pehle baar papa kaha, he said excitedly, Dadima meri beti ne mujhe papa kaha, hearing his words, Geet's respect and admiration for this man had increased 10folds as he called Pari his daughter.

Accha Maan bete, apni beti ke paas wapas aane ke liye jaldi kaam khatm kar lijiye, Dadima said.

He nodded and showered her face with kisses, Pari giggled as his stubble tickled her.
