Onam, the festival of harvest, falls in the month of Chingam, It evokes spirit of unity and splendour that prevailed during the reign of 'Mahabali'. It also represents the subtle inner music of the seeds ready to sprout in the wet, damp, soil of our paddy fields. Onam, proclaims the harmony of love, and unity. It is the time of togetherness.
Nostalgic memories of my childhood, spend with friends and family, with the pookkalam, the Onngal attam and grand feast is making me yearn for those bygone days...
