We are consoling ourselves that we would get our daily dose of Gurti/Maaneet by this track. Really? We would get Gurti but not Maaneet. Just bearing the same name doesn't make characters. The Maan we fell in love with was an arrogant,complex recluse with a heart of gold beneath the tough exerior. A man of principle and integrity. Geet we fell in love with was was a coy,timid girl who braved all odds and forsake all relations for the survival of her child... Already they are a mere shadow of their past glory. What would happen after reincarnation? They can as well be Bhola Nath and Gangu Bai, for all I care. But they are NOT Maaneet ,not the characters we fell in love with,not thecharacters with whose struggles we identified.

I agree...Maan & Geet's characters are what makes this show special. But similar strong characters can be re-created. Its not unheard of. In a new story the character's overall behaviour can change but they can keep the basic essence intact. GC and DD are capable of doing justice to any characters. If the concept is as strong as it was here, then its possible that it clicks with the audience

Next comes the issue of GurTi and their scorchng chemistry. There is no denying the fact that they are one of the best couples, with amazing chhemistry. But do we want them to keep working in a non sensical,illogical show in which makers have little interst left and which is being given step treatment for months. Do I want to see their talent wasted without proper script,screenplay and story in a show which can shut at any time?Sorry, but I would rather watch them working in different serials where they can do justice to their talent and have something new to do other than keep staring on Maahis... Yes we may not get them together, but it is much better than seeing their potential going waste on a useless concept.


How can you write off the concept without even knowing what it is? Re-incarnation was just a idea and if dealt with properly it can work.

Third point, can we really expect that PH would execute this track well? From where I see, PH has already lost interest in this show,months back and now when they are on verge of launching another show,how much attention would this show get?

Yes i know the PH has lost interest but the channel is interested. If need be they can change the PH or warn the current PH to pull up their socks.

Then reincarnation track havent worked for most of the shows. Do we really want the memories of Maan and Geet butchered forever for some stupid 2-3 months extension?


The re-incarnation track means a fresh new love story. It will definitely go on for at least a year. Why think about butchering old memories...we can also create new memories with the new characters na...😳

And post reincarnation this show would be telecasted on Star Desh. As articles already indicate,this rebranding is being done to give the channel a wider appeal rather than being just Youth based channel. So in all probability we can expect the show to become more regressive or be centred around kitchen politics sooner or later,as that is what unfortunately appeals to masses...

Again why think negatively. Yes maybe it won't be youth oriented but to start with GHSP was never completely youth oriented like say DMG or MJHT. If treated differently family drama are also appealing...😊

So as much as it hurts now,I would rather have the show closed with a logical ending,leaving us with memories to cherish forever. And I would cettainly not want any more butchering of Maaneet and any more wastage of GC-DD's potential in a directionless,purposeless show on a channel whose future is uncertain.

Thats your opinion. But many want this show to continue and watch Gurti on screen...😳 Keep the faith that the new story will be dealt with uniquely. Its not necessary that Ekta's formula is executed in the same manner too...😊
