I don't care as far we still get Maaneet and the show is not ending, so it's good for us, but I am in somehow attached to Maaneet as of characters, so it will be hard to ever see them dying, but I am happy If the show stay and GurTi together, they r having good chemistry and I am sure in anyway they would never fail on impressing us on their chemistry 😉😳

The viewers of Geet are not the same as the shows you have mentioned. Going by the trps, the viewers of this show are already bored within a year of the show. If the show had stuck to its original plot and not try to compete in the so-called trp game, maybe it would have still been going strong. It tried to ape the mainstream family dramas and we saw its downfall.
then why cant Geet too break its record when viewers still adore Maaneet and Gurti ...😳

Viewers loved Maaneet and Gurti. They loved the characterisation as they stand. A re-incarnation may give us Maaneet and Gurti but the characterisations will not be the same. If they were then why have a re-incarnation? So what counts here - the characterisations or just the names of the characters?
I know we can say get the leads in a new show ..etc etc ...but lets b practical ..we know its not possible ...😊

I dont know why it is not possible. Giving a happy ending to the current show and starting a new one in a totally new setting is any day better than trying to churn the same flour again and again. As I said all the shows which went in for the re-incarnation tracks are not as popular as they were before the re-incarnation.
So for the sake of Gurti and Maaneet on my screen ,I selfishly want this show to continue for another year and so ready to survive reincarnation too😳

Jyo, you can have them reborn every year for the next seven years - after all they are supposed to be together for seven births.
Yes execution is problem ..I agree ...but like Shonuu said ...this ML track is better than Amritsar circus with some improvement ..so mayb Reincarnation will b better than this too😆

The track has just started and we are already hearing of its end. They should have given the pauper track a proper closure. They did not. Instead they started this one with a lot of promise and already Maan's character is taking a beating. It is really pathetic that we keep lowering our bar every time and tolerate the incompetence of the PH, channel, CVs. No wonder the quality of our shows are atrocitious to say the least. I am happy there are still shows like Gulaal which despite being under the threat of being axed has stuck to the original plot and has brought out the creative best in the entire cast and crew. My only regret is that I realised its existence only recently when it is at its fag end. I would rather have more shows like it where even in a short stint they can captivate the viewer and give fodder for the mind and heart.
If channel and cvs r showing interest with diff tracks and trying to bring its flavour back ,as loyal viewer of this show ,I want to support it till the end because I love my Maaneet and Gurti 😳

I don't think it is a question of loyalty. Why is it that the viewer is always supposed to prove his/her loyalty by testing his/her patience with mindless rubbish? Should the CVs, PH and channel not be loyal to the story they started out with? There are still so many lose ends. Maan's past is still a mystery. We are not even sure how many siblings he has. We are yet to see who is Sam and how she affected him. Geet's entire family at HP has been conveniently left out. If they can change the face of NT, Pammi and Dev, they surely can change the face of Rajjo and Tito who were still very young. Flavour is what you cook up. With a strong story, Gurti can work magic. Playing Mahi... repeatedly at the background does not mean the magic will be back. Nothing can subsitute for a good script and sadly that is lacking in the show these days and with the current crop of people at the helm of the story dept, I do not think things will be much different in the re-incarnation track either.

An important point to be kept in mind is that the re-incarnation track is likely to coincide with the revamp of the channel into the mainstream saas-bahu variety. So I doubt we will get the old flavour back. I suspect we'll will get a large cast, loud characters and senseless characterisations which are typical of the shows you listed before. The youthful flavour of Maaneet which won our hearts in the beginning will not come back if the channel sticks by its agenda. After all it is targeting a whole new audience who have a totally different taste. If the PH house's other show in SP is a yardstick to measure what we may get, frankly I am not looking forward to it.

I want him to keep a close watch on NT and learn the truth from her own mouth when she confronts Geet. I also want Geet to assume charge of the company and protect it for her Maan. Maybe then I can live with this track.

Opti...hope the story moves forward like this...but i don't think MP has this much creativity in him...else this track could have done wonders for TRPs...

After seeing him butcher both Maan and Geet since two days i've lost all hope...

Only thing left is to bring back the original CVs and see if they do any damage control this man has done to the characters...me feeling so sad that the show i loved so much and watched without even missing an epi is going down the drain like this...

I have no problems with Reincarnation ka stuff and all that but can we have Maan and Geet behaving like themselves before its take-off.. can we have the loose ends like the attic room stuff , Maan's past , Sameera like things shown for a while and not rushed in one or two episodes.

Can I have my Geet back but not the comical character and the cry-baby that she is reduced to . Can we have Maan who stood tall and firm for his principles and truth but not the person who has flushed out things like respect along with his one and half year memories.

Maan in HP ka days if I remember was rude too . I have seen him picking up on Brij and even went to hold his collor for Brij's behavior but never he misbehaved with Daarji like raising his hand on him .. yes he taunted and said some harsh words towards daaarji and the family but as far as I remember I did not see him raising hand on elders. This is not the Maan we were provided previously isn't it??

This is where the CV's have failed time and again. They have shown all the mindless stuff for weeks but the most important and high points were dealt so lightly that it failed to leave an impact.

I felt so bad when Dev ka issue was wrapped up in two episodes. That is the closure of the fight that Geet had put up initially and I felt that it entirely has gone in drain . I cried with Geet when she went through the torture because it was heart wrenching to watch. Whenever I see Dev and Geet talking normally I could only remember airport wala scene . probably that is why I am not able to digest the fact that Dev is forgiven and not Naintara. There are many such high points which have been shown in a comic sense than giving out a needed impact for the twist

I so badly want Aamir Khan to visualize Geet and Maan ka journey and their characters . You know what we can expect from such a subject dealt by the perfectionist probably a sensitive yet firm social message could be seen.

I want him to visualize because this story has such potential and such lead actors who can give any expressions asked for. Wish karne main kya jaata hain 😳.. Ah !! wishful thinking!!!!!!

But Sneha when did this Maan raise his hand on elders? I had problems with yesterday's episode because Maan was never the forgiving kinds back in his HP days or Pre-Amritsar days. He stood for justice rather than mercy. His principles mattered to him more than people. The PA Maan fitted to his original character like a glove. He was rude, insensitive and anti-social as he was meant to be and out of the blue we suddenly see a guy who is begging his Dadima to give a second chance to a woman whom he despised for ages just because she shed some tears and begged for forgiveness. Is this the Maan who does not believe in either giving or granting forgiveness? Is this the guy who mocked tears? The only justification for Maan's remarkable tolerance and magnanimity towards a woman he positively hated is his apparent need to regain control over his family. To hell with their feelings because his single point objective is to get Geet out of the house by bringing in her nemesis. Enemy's enemy has suddenly become his friend. Now that to me seems more villainish than heroic.

I doubt whether they plan to close all existing loops. If the existing characters' consistency cannot be assured, can the re-incarnation come up with consistent characterisation especially when the show is going to shift to the high melodrama variety?

@ Opti : Is it for sneha or shreya ??
Oh btw he raised his hands on Maamaji in the previous episode which was not to my liking . Agreed he gets irritated with people mis-behaving with him and agreed that Mamaji is an irritating character himself who needs to be packed off but still it didn't gel well with me. Because I feel that Maan is a person who despite being anti-social and all the negativities in him is highly principled man.

The blow for me was when he went ahead and told that Geet was parayi in the family. When he wants his brother to give importance to his wife when she is accepting her mistakes done earlier and crying out like a baby why can he not see beyond hatred towards Geet . I did not like this fact. Maan being so forgiving left me appalled because it is not in his character to forgive and forget.

I so want to see a strong Geet in the upcoming episodes . I know there might not be any closing loops but I wish that they could be closed
. I have no problem with the actors at all because they are doing the job according to the script. The major problem is with the story and the way the characters are being shown. Hence CV's need to pull up their socks ASAP. This track has too much potential if they use their energies in proper direction.

@Opti-- With regard to your reply to Jyo di's post- I agree ,its a hard ,cold fact but its sadly true🥺 Yes- the show garnered viewers coz of the original plot & characterisations- its hard to digest that they're going for "re-incarnation" track at this juncture when they could've taken other path ways ,but it was a pre requisite to not meddle with Maaneet characters which they have😭 As for Jyo's question-- I am still not clear what is better coz haven't convinced myself if I can live Maaneet-less coz I love them good, bad or ugly and yet GHSP is not the same and it extinguishes any ray of hope in my mind with something or other😒 I can't love GHSP as a package coz I can't love this new plot of Geet siding Dev or Maan behaving quite un- MSK like
I blame PH and their neglect to Story dept coz cast, crew, Barry bhaiya were ready with resilience but they were too preoccupied and made such a complex, lovely concept into a sad, melodramatic joke while having such staunch supporters in us...
But being an addict I'll watch it till the end but I dunno if I can survive characters' reel life death too
I wonder if it was good on my part to put a fiction show on such high pedestal🤔

Sorry I addressed you as Shreya. Yes, the actors are good but they cannot help if the script is bad and I doubt it will get any better with the re-incarnation. As Lily said, it is one thing to see the character assassination and quite another to see real assassination of the characters. If they want to start another season why not end on a happy note and bring back the same characters in a new setting without killing them off? Moreover, if NT gets away with killing Maaneet, the show will only show that evil will win no matter what. So far we have not seen proper justice meted out and it would be sad that even at the conclusion they do not get justice delivered to the ones deserving.

Moral of the story - put up with unprincipled and immoral story line if you want to watch your favourite Maaneet. Sad yet true.

But what attracted me to the show even before Maaneet were in focus in the plot was that there were morales and principles behind the show's basis.
The entire outline of how a demure, repressed, shy village girl rose like a phoenix from ashes and spoke the harsh truth to her entire family at the brutal ,undeserved injustice for which her rigid family was partially responsible- made me watch the show.
I am proud of that fact- this was one main reason I watched.
Also weren't Maaneet an epitome & example to world of beacon of light in dark - amidst conspiracy against MSK by his bro & co V/s the fate which brought two people together to fight the wrong and sustain their love around this background.
In Delhi I not only waited Maaneet to realise their feelings but to see how they will come to consensus when truth of Maan's bro and his sins that obliterated Geet 's life will come in open
How the evil DevTara will be defeated by MG - on whose heads were hands of Almighty...
It made me connect to a woman's struggle & if this has what become of Maaneet- then CVs are highly mistaken in their so-called "TRP -garnering" strategy😡
