What is going on here? Just logged in yesterday and saw all the previous articles on show ending!! 😡
Didn't have time to put my take on this...but reading today...it seems that there is a certain couple of people in media (CA & this Miss Neha) spreading this news and creating hungama with fans!!! 😡
Let me just apply some logic to these so called "news and articles" on this matter!! I can just hear Rahul Agarwal saying "There is no logic...only magic????" 😆😆😆
1. Yes...Star One is having a revamp. But they have...so far...only commissioned 3 new shows. Logic says that they will replace their 3 lowest trp shows (RBO, Yeh Ishq Hai...both with less than 0.1 trps and lastly Dhoondh Legi...since DLHM is doing 0.2 trps).
2. It looks like 2 shows will definately close...RBO & Yeh Ishq...since they already have 2 shows to go...in September.
3. Now...Dhoondh will logically be the next one to close. 🥱 But why has this show not been mentioned in any of the articles. Only Geet has been widely reported to be in the media reports to be on the chopping block. 😡 I think this is a ploy by the channel. They have no intention of closing Geet or PKYEK...at least not in the near future.
They cannot take a big risk and have a complete revamp.😊 Anyone in the corporate world would know that this would be one hell of a risky strategy. 😲 They need shows which are still bringing in at least...some advertising revenue...and currently...these shows are Geet & PKYEK. 👏 There is no guarantee that the new gujju based shows will be successful in generating higher trps and advertising revenue.🤔 Geet & PKYEK may only go off-air if the new gujju shows are successful. 🥺
4. Why then is media concentrating on reporting that Geet is closing down? 😡 Well...PKYEK may be their highest trp show but GEET garners the most publicity for them. 😃 All the media are covering Geet like there is no tomorrow.👏 Ever heard of the phrase "any publicity in good publicity?" This may be a strategy by Star One to create a buzz for the show in order to make viewers tune into the show out of curiosity. Star One and Star News are part of the same group of companies. Miss Neha might be the entertainment reporter that all the channels use to spread "the news" about their shows. 😕🤪
No show lasts forever...so yes...Geet will eventually close. 😭 But...I don't think it will be in the next couple of months!!! The gujju shows will need to show if this part re-vamp has worked. Even if it is successful...it may be that Geet can get more trps from the targeted gujarti viewers...so it may not close after all. 😃
BTW - This Miss Neha character may be a source the channels to 'phekna' the news to create a buzz. Or... she may be...as many have suggested...a 1st class 'copy & paste' artist which would make her a 'zero class journalist' and she should be fired by her employers. Unfortunately...she could be a freelancer...so nothing can be done. 😡
