Online Piracy is a CRIME acknowedged by law courts all over the world. But as an ardent fan of the show, all some of us were requesting was that the videos would be put up at 11.30 pm post the first repeat of the show so that whatever TRPs come in via television ratings aren't denied because of the online vids via Indian Forums.

The uploader TANU, had been informed to the effect earlier too, a fortnight earlier to be precise and we have evidence of the request that has been made so her denying that will do no good.

Anyway, long story short, if this continues and don't say you have not been informed, the uploaders whoever they may be A, B or C, just may have to face repercussions. Just May. I am writing this down publicly on the open forum so that Tanu or anybody else for that matter now doesn't take up the opportunity to publicly deny that she has been informed under cover of pretended ignorance.

All those who thank her for helping shut down GHSP are also duly appreciated. Some of us have been literally working our heads off with multi pronged approaches to get the show publicity, making calls 24/7, talking it out with people higher up the order and so on, pro-active action that nobody is even aware for. For the show alone.

But unfortunately, people here don't seem to understand the basic ethics and gravity of the situation. That online vids have been updated here since April 2010 is no reason to not clamp down the nasty practice. The show is in dire straits now and desperately needs TRPs.

And Self-censorship is the best kind of censorship.

To acknowledge that you have the maturity to understand the larger issue at hand, to acknowledge that you are a true fan of the show who will not throw away the good work of the Creatives for the sake of your own selfish needs of gain or publicity, that needs guts. It also needs maturity on the part of the rest of the members to be aware of the entire larger dialogue around online piracy that is a major threat and concern to production houses around the world.

I imagined that as true fans of the show, people here would have the maturity to understand that since India Forums is one of the primary feeder forums for the show and fans here profess to be the most fanatic of the show. I guess I may have been mistaken in imagining that this forum had sincere fans who thought for the show over and above themselves.That such a practice that eats into TRPs should spring from here is one of the most embarassing and shameful of facts. That it is endorsed by ignorant (or those pretending to be so) members is even more disgusting.

So, Final Word: Let nobody be mislead or misinformed. What is happening here is Cyber Crime. Let nobody claim ignorance now. I absolve myself of any repercussions, real or virtual, that may follow this post. Thankyou.

I repeat, a post 11.30 pm update on India Forums is/was all we were requesting for. Nothing more or less.

I have been given to believe yesterday that certain matheys here love my charan sparsh. This mathey will sure come around to grant her devotees the same, rest assured😆

India Forums professes to have the best of GHSP fans. That CYBER CRIME originates from here is despicable especially under current circumstances.

GHSP used to have 1.5 TRPs once. Now it faces a dwindling fan base in India. Enough cause for concern. Enough reason to take drastic steps for the sake of the show.

If people do it for profit, as sites outside do, outside the forum, they have monetary motives. It's still crime. It's still unethical. But they do not claim to be fans of the show.

But if fans from the forum do it, after having been informed of what the stakes are, under current circumstances, it is a mindless roguish act. Times have changed for GHSP. Denying that it has will do no good.

As sturdy fans of the show, it is the time to assume some significant amount of moral responsibility when things are not going too well, when things are literally on the verge.

As for you, Tanu, I lost my respect for you when you said you have not been informed to just save your face among your fan following here. Going ballistic at me here will not save the show in the future or salvage anything else for that matter. What has to be produced will be produced before those who require evidence. Not here.

I repeat, I have nothing against Tanu per se. All other video uploaders on India Forums have/had agreed to post later for the love of the show. It is here alone, that we seem to be talking to blind, deaf and irrational walls.

I REPEAT AGAIN, SELF CENSORSHIP IS THE BEST FORM OF CENSORSHIP.
