Today's whole episode reminded me of the theories of the crazy, pervert, psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. 😉 Although I have to hand it to the intelligent psychologist, there were some interesting theories of his that I saw staring right at my face, I couldn't but make a separate post on it.
Today we saw the id, and ego functions of Dev. Freud had come up with three functions of the brain, the third function was the superego, BUT we do not need to worry about that function.Actually, I know we don't want to worry about Dev either, but perhaps shedding some light on these two functions and another Freudian theory might explain Maan's behavior as well.😉Ah, now that I mentioned Maan are we interested yet?😆Well the two Devs we saw, were NOT necessary representing the good and the evil but really just showing us all a reality that we all have a side like this when we cannot make a decision. Devra in this case was confused about Nandani and her nature towards him. Does she love me, does she not? The Id function in Dev (Dev dressed in Black) wanted to use an easy way out to get Nandani, but really that way wasn't very accurate and may leave Dev in more confusion; HOWEVER, the ego function (Dressed in white) is well organized and shows a more realistic path to take. This is how we all interact with our mental life, we at times talk in our minds and most of the time we are arguing with our three functions, the superego, id, and ego.😛 When we fight, we may not even notice that, because we are soo used to it, it is part of our subconcious mind, or unconcious mind. (both can be used interchangably)I hope that made sense so far?Now that i brought in the main topic that Freud discussed, is our unconcious mind. This is where our hot hot maan comes into play. We all remember our Maan from day 1 right? If not close your eyes you will remember (jk)😆. Maan from day 1 has always been angry, never believed in emotions, strict, workaholic, had a dislike for weak women ect ect. Right now, the way Maan is behaving is his natural behavior, what he was a year ago. Conciously this was the way he was, BUT there is a HUGE difference from the OLD Maan a year ago, from the Maan now. A girl came into his life like a storm, at first she had become his habit, but as the days past, she became his need, she became his life source. Now all of a sudden, he doesn't remember her OR DOES HE? WELL his unconcious mind has become used to Geet. When he is concious, he will not miss Geet he will not even give a damn about her, but his unconcious mind will drive him restless it will make him feel empty and he will yearn to know why he feels empty, why he feels as though something is a miss. We all saw today, how Maan woke up in the night restless, because it was a habit of Maan to fall asleep holding his wife, that subconciously his mind was driving him crazy, but he couldn't pinpoint conciously what it was that was driving him crazy. In his subconcious mind, he still holds his old MSK habits, BUT he also has Geet there; as a result, you will see him subconciously being rude to geet as well such as the dinner table scene today. This means, he may do certain things that the OLD MSK wouldn't do now because of the whole explanation I gave out. Perhaps he may unconciously go light on Geet at times, and he may not even realize or maybe he may not. This is what I got out of the episode today. Hope it made sense. 😛Maan would never fake a memory loss, he is a fighter!!! If he fakes it, it will be way out of his character! This would make him look weaker, and Maan is NOT weak! Maan faces all of his problems straight up, so if this is a fake ML, then it would totally ruin his character. Please do tell me what u all think of this.
