Ok this is just speculation ,hence "what if ?" .
But i guess ,if maan becomes bankrupt,he may have to take monetary help form someone. Now he may be boy or girl
I am thinking if it is a girl ,she may be samaira & this track will lead to maan hesitation & helplessness as due to business reasons he may have to face her past life & also for geet the new jealousy factor.
However if he turns out to be boy ,then may be geet will start helping Maan in his work to ease off his load or for whatever reason .
Then our new entry may fall for geet or geet may have to work with for any random reason & this may lead to Maan jealousy factor & again his helplessness as due to economic reason he may not be able to directly confront this guy .
