I hope Daman digs up Dev's dirt too and slings it on his face soon.
The only way I can find this track acceptable is if the following happens:
Maan digs up clear evidence implicating Daman's duplicity and tries to stop the wedding. Beeji lashes out at him saying what right he has to talk of duplicity when he himself entered the house in disguise and fooled them for so long. He tries to tell her that he wanted to bring out the truth about the groom before it is too late. Again the impatient Beeji stops him saying what truth was he talking of when he himself was so full of lies. She accuses him of wanting to prove his brother was right about Daman and would stoop to any means for the sake of clearing his brother's name for to him nothing matters but his own family.
It is at this point that Geet intervenes and tries to say something but Dev stops and says that he wants clear this thing up once and for all for he cannot stand by and let his brother keep bearing the brunt of his past actions. He then tells the entire family who he really is and what he did to a young innocent girl. He says that what Daman did is nothing when compared to what he did to that girl. He had not only married that girl when he was still married to another woman but had impregnated her and ran off with her money. If it had not been for the goodness and bravery of a valiant man that girl would have been long dead. That girl is none other than Geet and the man who rescued her and gave her life none other than his own brother. All are shocked to hear this.
He then asks them, 'Have you all wondered why your Geet left such a man and landed in your place. What was the big misunderstanding which separated two people so much in love with each other? Let me tell you what was, or rather who was the root cause of it. It is me. After all that I did to Geet, I finally realised the magnitude of my enormous sin and genuinely regretted the same. I begged to be forgiven and Geet, with her magnanimity had forgiven me too. But the man whom you are now accusing of for trying to protect his brother was against her decision to forgive me for he was, is and always be a man of principles. It is this difference between their approaches that separated them. Today I may be a reformed man but that does not for a moment reduce the enormous hurt I inflicted on Geet. This is the reason I did not want Nandini to become a victim like her sister.
At this point, Geet steps in and says, 'Yes, Maasi whatever Dev said is true. Maan did not approve of my forgiving Dev but when he realised he had lost me, he came here to win me back. He had to come in disguise given the anger you people had for him. Even after he won me over he wanted to stay back of win all of you too for he did not want you to worry about my safety in his hands. Unfortunately you could not see his goodness and all you could see is the lies he had said because of his love for his Geet. When I decided to stay back to appease you he came after me to help me in my mission. All you saw was him barging into you house and into your lives but did you know that had he not bought this house it would have been sold to a third party who would not have been as gracious as him? Yes, he supported Lucky's love but that was not to hurt you but because he wanted Lucky to get his happiness. When Lucky wanted to stay back with him, he sent him back saying he needs to be a good son before becoming a good husband. Whatever he has done so far has always keeping the best interest of this house. He was even willing to leave the house to prevent you from selling your ancestral property. I had always put my duty as a daughter of this house over the duty of a wife to this good man but not any more. I will not stand by and see my husband humiliated any more." She then holds Maan's hand and tries to walk off.
Beeji who has a hard time digesting all this finally realises what a big blunder she had done and calls out to them. She asks Maan to forgive her for not understanding him and lashing out at him. She then tells Daman and his family to get out of the place saying that she did not even want to hear what proof Maan has against Daman. She believes him totally for he will never do anything to hurt her family. It is better that a wedding breaks now rather than a marriage break later. Nandini too says that she does not want to get married now as she wants to pursue her studies. This, she says, is destiny's way of saying that she is not yet ready for marriage. Dev thinks to himself that someday he hopes to win her over but until then he is prepared to wait.
Well if the maha episode goes this way, I'll forgive and forget the maha episode they showed us last time.
