you are absolutly correct that old magic and passion were absolutely missing. Maybe its becoz we dont connect to Geet's character any more. I actually didnt feel that passion that i felt in the old episodes of Geet. Till they do some redemption to Geet's character i think it will continue to be this way. Anyway i will just watch the serial more becoz of loyalty that kind of old addiction is gone.

u r rite.well no one can deny the fact that ghsp last year was very magical n enchanting.everyday we used 2 hav better than previous epi.compared 2 those this epi was something less.

but anyways,after such stupid epis,atleast they gave us this one.

no offence 2 anyone but i feel that after their marriage,the charm has diminished

Hmm...I felt that the dialogues were too OTT and mushy for my liking today...I liked some of the lines but the rest seemed as if they belong on a Hallmark card more than being mouthed by a lover! Thats what killed it for me

after reading all posts what i must say that too much expectation always resulting the same. i remember qurbaan hua...all were in hue and cry that they spoiled everything by putting dev naintara scene in between...then another example is of RTM. and mahi mahi ... gosh still remember that bashing and disappointment...so watching it without expectations would always turn out to be a good experience 😳

if havnt seen UMT...i am sure that would be a pleasant surprise for everyone...

I'm a bit a surprised by the reaction over here. I thought it was a very beautiful episode! Maneet together after a long time..Just now I wrote my thots in another post ..pasting it

After a long time saw Maneet in one frame with so much of love and passion! It was truly a beautiful and mesmerizing episode. I had a sweet smile on my face when the episode ended just as I finish a MB story( I do read MB stories once in a while!!)

I loved the whole idea of narrating the letter. GC was awesome and DD too! Some of the scenes are too good ..Maan lying on Geet's lap, his explanation of what happens to him when he sees Geet's tears. I always felt he is terribly moved whenever he sees her in tears. Earlier it used to be a very volatile reaction but reaction nevertheless right from day one!

His nudging of Geet's ears was very romantic and sensuous but the pigeon on shoulder was bit too much. 😆 Overall the whole scene had a dreamy quality which is quite apt as it was Geet's imagination! And I must say behind the bubbly appearance Geet is a super-romantic just like many of us .. who on the outer surface don't show much but deep inside have romantic fantasies!

In the end, loved the way Geet flung herself to Maan and hugged him. And Maan's expressions were superb ..little surprise, little tears and lots of love! Ohhh so romantic!!!!!😍

I think regarding mushiness, yeah it was little over the top, but we should not forget that it is not reality it is somebody's imagination. The words are also a bit over the top, but then again when you write, you write more poetically than when you are having one to one conversation! I am sure they will portray love differently when it is reality! Then it will be little spicy not sugary all the way! 😊

PS. I had not seen any promos or segments so had no clue about the impending episode .. I guess that's why liked it so much!😊

I agree with you. Though there were some classic lines, overall it felt OTT especially the chand and phool talk. The pigeon on the shoulder scene made it look very filmy.

The magic was missing as compared to the old landmark episodes. I try to watch it with zero expectation these days. But can't really stop comparing with the old episodes. It didn't even come close to the
benchmark set by the old episodes in terms of impact.

The last scene hug was beautiful conveying the desperation and longing after the separation.

GC and DD were outstanding.

I am pleased to read that at least u liked the episode...I too was surprised when i read all the replies in this post...my belief is that these people are still comparing the current episodes with the old ones...unless we stop making these comparisons we will always find flaws with the episodes...one important thing to remeber is that the romance of today cannot be the same as the romance of those days...in the old episodes we saw that Maneet were just bumping into each other...then we saw their attraction towards each other...which gradually developed into deep love...romance in those stages of togetherness will definitely be different from romance after marriage and above all after a major MU which could have separated them for good...how can the creatives recreate the old romance when Maneet are now married????

If such romance was to be shown the marriage and MC should not have been shown...I think its only fair to the creatives that we viewers should accept that this is a new stage in Maneet's life and proceed from there instead of asking to be taken pack into the past...

few elements were missing in the episode it looked gurti working hard to bring magic back it felt like a drama with lengthy dialogues fiction words like sun moon leading to a dramatic forceful drama it was not conviencing that's the reason magic missing and reality vanished.it seemed a normal serial not geet which used to make us madly in love with maaneet and as u said repeative scenes and interaction of maaneet somewere missed the magic didn't go well with me i was yoning and skipped few bits but the hug was good in the end something different hug.

Yeah I agree but I have decided to stay pretty positive for today's episode... I know it felt like they were both acting and the divinity was missing. It's also because our expectations were different from this episode... and I agree the hug was really unique. Loved it!!

Dear if you read my post in detail you will notice that I too said all the things you just did. I loved all the parts that you mentioned. Some of the lines in their individuality were simply brilliant! I am just upset because the posititioning of this episode seems out of flow! We would have wanted to see Geet talk her heart out! If all of these dialogues were intermingled with hers, it would have been totally outworldly! But all geet said was MAAN!!!

I loved the episode technically. But I failed to see the magic! You are right - my expectations were too high and it fell short! May be that's it! so I went back and watched it a couple of more times. Same reaction!!

Agree with all your points. Even if you didn't have any expectations the episode just seemed a bit out of character for both especially MSK!
