Hey Deepika, Anuja and Opti i feel that as person Geet has also changed a lot in this 1 year. From a person who was very submissive to a person who now stands for any type of injustice she faces, also she stands for her self respect. I a way both of them have come a long way from what they were a year back to what they are now. Geet's change was swift and fast as she was too adaptive to the new changes and ways of thinking. But for Maan the process is slow as he is already settled himself to a way of thinking. And it is actually hard for him as he has to giveup the pride and priv. he is used to. For Geet it is only a gaining process so it was much easier

Much like we talk of women's rights. It is easier for us to ask and fight for it. But from men's pov. They are giving away all the priv. they have been used too for 1000's of years. They are mentally tuned to being priv. group. So giving away is too difficult for them

Agree with you. Geet too has changed as a person. She has become more confident. That is a very refreshing point you made about it being easier to get one's rights and more difficult to give up one's privileges. Both of them are what they are today because of the other. If it had not been for Maan, Geet would not have been the strong woman with her own mind. Maan instilled that courage in her. If it had not been for Geet Maan would not have become this sensitive and caring human being. He was a social recluse. Geet brought him out of his shell. She made him a positive person.

What are your comments on post marriage serious fight between Maan and Geet.......... when he was avoiding her and Geet doubted his love.......... again he blurted venom.......... and said i made you Khurana Kandan ki bahu gave you all luxuries in life what more do you want......... their again he attacked her self respect.......... again his word implied how inferor Geet is infront of his family........ and Geet was dumbfounded......... but never reacted to these words......... and when she came to know about truth.......... she prasied his greatness.......... Although words used at that time and Holi fiasco were differnt but similar mening and magnitude..........😕

Good point. He did attack her telling her that she should be happy with what he gave her, a Khurana name. Why did she not leave the house then? I can think of three reasons.

1. Geet was pregnant and in a way dependent on Maan. She cannot just up and leave, at least not for her baby's sake. One could argue that she was pregnant even in the scene I cited here but at this stage she had not committed to Maan. In the current scenario she had lost that baby which had bonded them. She was half numbed by that loss. His words killed the rest of her.

2.Whatever he had said to her was in the confines of their room. It was not in the presence of the man who had wronged her. Maan basically struck at the root of her existence by saying that Geet did not have shame by forgiving Dev and it was not his problem. In a way it meant he did not care for her.

3. In the incident you mentioned she was confused and disappointed that he was not keen to take their relationship to the next level. But that disappointment was nothing in comparison to what she felt on that Holi day. She had done the most difficult thing, that of forgiving the man who wronged her, all for his sake, for their sake, so that they can start their lives together afresh. She had put in all her efforts to restart their marriage which had gone into a limbo along with her numbed existence post MC. After all that he questioned that very act which she had done for them, steeling herself up and giving up on her former need for justice. She knew her holding on to her grudge would destroy Maan as he was increasingly getting frustrated that he could not do anything to get justice for her.

They have both experienced such changes in the last one year. I had heard this somewhere - dharti khud ek din mein ek baar ghoom jaati hai. Toh hum toh insaan hai. Soch ek saal mein kya kya ho sakta hai hamare saath. This statement seems to have been made for Maaneet.

On a lighter note, this can be the best definition of marriage. Geet compromised and gave up everything for Maan before their wedding. But shaadi ke baad, paapad bhel raha hai. She is not compromising on anything and he is willing to give up everything for her. My, what role reversal. Should I say he is being a perfect husband? 😉

Maan is fulfilling his duties as a husband.Lets see when Geet will appreciate him for it.
