The worst part of watching even one scene is that it is difficult to stop talking about it. 😆 So, I'd say one last thing and would try to shut up. Bias against women is very common. So, is bias against DILs. People do think that women have a certain position and boundaries; and they should not step out of that (I, myself, belong to a very orthodox society and have seen it first hand). But that does not always translate in abuse 24/7. People do know how to talk with civility. They don't shout at and scold women 24/7 even in orthodox families.

If this Amritsar family had seen or heard Geet bickering with Maan and bullying him in to bowing to her wishes, they would all get a heart attack. She would soon be packed off to her husband's house and maybe Maan may get a lecture from Beeji and Teji as to how to exercise control over one's wife, rein in the horse so to speak.
