The Billionaire's Descent in Love
Off to Amritsar, in search of his love, the one who'd disappeared out of his sight,
The Billionaire started anew his quest for his love in a private, chartered flight.
The unseen touchdown at Amritsar signified a symbolic descent to the ground,
Once there, he set off on the untrod road to find the Queen his heart had crowned.
The second leg of his quest, the Billionaire started in a silver car that sported no stain,
Strangers' help he sought; he who, in the past, the act of seeking help did disdain.
Having found a clue to his love, he accelerated his car, the quicker to find his mate,
Yet, fate had, for him, some lessons in store; so, the tyre of his car did deflate.
Looking back into the trunk, he drew off the tarpaulin, hopeful of locating a spare,
Found none; for in haste, he'd forgone a routine check, discovered the Billionaire.
Looking back into the past, he drew upon his memories, and saw with his inward eye,
That she was his destiny; With her she took his destiny, this he was compelled to sadly sigh.
In his haste, he'd foregone caution, the Billionaire realised when he did introspect,
He knew that he had imprudently questioned what defined his wife—her self-respect.
Now repentant, the Billionaire vowed that, to her, he would make amends,
He'd willingly undergo the same hurt, this penance to himself he recommends.
Time being of the essence, he undertook the next leg of his journey on a second-hand cycle,
All pride shredded, the Billionaire would care not 'ven were the world to gape and cackle.
Puffed by his own sense of family honour, 'twas her sense of honour that he had assailed,
To atone for his misdeeds, he had descended and is willing to be even, by his peers, reviled.
The Billionaire's Ascent in Love
Unnoticed by us, the Billionaire had, that day, begun his ascent in love,
As he relearned virtues, abundant blessings he received from the Lord above.
To the discerning, the deflated tyre signified the Billionaire's deflated pride,
He'd yielded his pride for her, the pride that had driven her afar from his side.
The road that led to her, his love, the Billionaire now on his feet humbly trod,
His pride, temporal belongings – all these, he, without a single murmur, shod.
He who, in the past, would not, in conversation, the words "My apologies" use,
He now offered apologies to a stranger for disturbing his afternoon snooze.
Having ascended a step in the learning curve, the Billionaire obtained for himself a cycle,
Pedalling along, he made acquaintance with Patience, who'll help him clear the next obstacle.
Then, Divine Providence lent a helping hand to the Billionaire who loved his coffee black,
Led him to a tea stall owner, the first local who, for gossip, displayed his love and knack.
The Billionaire sought water from the commoner, but his offer of tea he did decline.
Of water, replied the commoner, "'Tis for the asking, for 'tis a blessing from the Divine."
The Billionaire splashed some water on himself, signifying receipt of further blessing divine,
Yet he did not partake of it, mayhap he is waiting until his path with hers again does intertwine.
To earn her forgiveness, this time, the Billionaire cannot rely on his love's magnanimity,
But, the Billionaire is up to the task; surely, he could not be accused of pusillanimity
We are told that the Billionaire will, to his wife, now play a chauffeur in disguise,
On foot, then cycle, now a car – he has ascended, I say; Do I hear your "Ayes"?
Well, in the war to woo back his wife, the Billionaire will never, ever concede defeat,
By becoming a chauffeur, the Billionaire has smartly placed himself in the driver's seat.
PS: A quick hello and bye to all. See you all around later.🤗
