While I have no problems with GC fans opening a zillion topics on him everyday this particular post caught my attention . Every fan has a right to voice their opinion which is why as much as I dislike overzealous fans going 'OMG' (GC or DD ) I prefer to stay away from such threads and no fan ( especially GC 's ) can claim otherwise .

But I totally disagree that GC and GC alone is the soul of the show what most of his fans claim all the time . If that was the case and trps meant everything , then the show would remain no 1 all the time and trps would remain unaffected no ? Trps gradually increased after GC 's entry not because of him alone but various factors . Maan Geet chemistry.... anyone ? Could that be created without the other actor involved ? Story picked up pace and became more gripping . Most articles that mention Geet attribute the success of the show to these factors and not GC alone . So statistics can only show the rise of trps during that time but cannot explain the reasons . In any case , a show always takes time to get noticed . It does not open to Earth shattering trps ever . Had GC been in the show from the start the pattern would hv been the same - an increase in trps with the introduction of Maaneet track !

No actor no matter how popular , can gaurantee a show 's success unless the show itself appeals to the audience .

Rajeev Khandelwal could not save Time Bomb despite a massive fan following post Kth . Same is the case with Harshad Chopra who could not replicate his success with Tere Liye , a show on the verge of shutting shop .



If you speak of the character alone , (say ,MSK) it would make a lot more sense to say that 'xyz' character is the soul of the show . The same does not apply to the actors however whether it's GC or DD .

Veena,luv ur posts dear,u must continue with them,these days very few people actually make positive posts and u r one of them,i hv never seen u make a single negative post,good job dear,keep it up,ur posts always make me happy,and yes,i am biased about GC,i hv no shame in that,in fact i am proud of it,i hv no doubt in my mind that GC is the best performer in this show.and i know that while many will disagree with me,there will be many who agree with me,for me GC is unmatchable in acting skills at present on tv.for me,GC is the soul of the show,and i watch it only for him,and i hv always watched it only for him,i did not watch geet before maan's entry,i started watching it for him and him only.even when i feel the story is bad ,i still watch it just to see his acting,and yes,also to drool over him.his versatality always amazes me,and his subtle expressions-no other actor or actress on tv can now give such subtle expressions and i am saying this after watching everyone else.for me,if today,the entire cast of geet changes except for Gurmeet,i will keep watching the show with the same intensity.i don't mean to offend anyone,just like everyone has the freedom of expressing their viewpoints,even i am entitled to mine.
