Usha, I'm practical too but sometimes I like to escape into my fantasy world. Earlier I used to just confine these to my thoughts. Now I put them down in my writing. I've never had problem with voicing my feelings to my hubby though, be it anger or love.

When Maaneet first meet she was chased by a group of goons and she begged him to help her. He did not do so but only watched her being chased. So Maan was not what he became later. It is only when he saw someone drowning that he jumped in to help.

Agreed. That was an exception. Although Opti, have we seen him act like that with anyone else? Any other instance? I mean, an instance to show his insensitivity? He alays acts in haste and regrets it later.

I am just wondering if that first instance was just to create an impactful entry into the show rather than define his character? This is not my opinion. I am just wondering if it may be possible. 😊

Actually I read the analysis but I don't know on what basis to do analysis. The CV's who keep changing characteristics though they ahve stuck to maan's character as much as possible or my own take on human behaviour.

My personal belief is that the basic characteristics of a man or a woman never change. What you see is what you get.

I said this the other day in reference to something else and i repeat it. No girl should marry a man or woman thinking that she can change him with love and affection. Nobody changes.

yes after 15 years fo marriage, each take on some of the characteristics of the other unwittingly.

And i used to actually like maan not helping geet even though she is in a problem because only then a person's inbuilt survival instinct kickstarts. You help when it becomes absolutely necessary.

And the first scene of maan's introduction, i frankly was shocked by his behaviour but then put the reason down to it.

Still have to reason out his change of behaviour and where he stands as of now.

Though the last few episodes have been quite consistent and have explained his behaviour.

Priti that is the man he was before he met Geet.It is Geet who transformed him. He was a difficult boss too and I don't think people feared him because of their respect for him but they feared his temper.

@ Usha, I agree it may not be the wisest thing to hope that someone will change and therefore marry them. But I don't understand what u mean by people never change. I believe that people can change if they want to. May not be in your core values, but your practices, your beliefs, your principles. Don't you think so?

really. they were writing CCBM and geet, i don't believe it. so now they will take a bit of geet into CCBM.

sorry for butting in but my 2 cents about the scenes when Maan & Geet first met....😊

i think they wanted to show the power of the taavez there. When Geet first bumps into Maan while running from the goons he just shirks her off but she leaves the taavez on him. In the second scene he rescues her....there was a bond between them now in the form of that taveez which made him go against his will & basic nature and rescue her from trouble....since then he has always been by her side whether he wanted to or not....😊

there is short term behaviour and long term behaviour. One when you react to a given situation, that is instinctive and you can never help instinct. You react and think about the right and wrong later. You react and then when your brain takes over you realise that whether it is right or wrong.

now instinctive behaviour comes from what has been your experiences over the past many years and those are difficult to let go of.

I don't know if I am clear.

@ Opti - I will use a little bit of what Usha stated. It is my belief that a person can change his habits, beliefs etc but not his core values.

It is not an unreasonable assumption to state that Maan was a happy loving guy who because the man he was because of some situation. His core values could not have changed. he put on an angry front every time he was faced with an embarrassing situation or one that would throw light on his sensitive side. But I don't think he was that really. Even at work, he has not been shown to scream at anyone unreasonably. His only target was Geet. Always. And he has always apologized to her and tried to make up for his actions. Hasn't he?

I don't know. Maybe I have this good guy image of Maan in my mind and am trying to see only positives in him, even in his ways before he met Geet. It could be that u know. 😆
