Understanding Voiced & Silent
'Dev!' as his name came to his lips so did varied emotions in one look of his at seeing him. His anger made Dadi & Geet shiver. Geet especially.
She saw him roar with fury & rush to throw out the jackal that has dared to enter the lion's den.
He refuses to hear Dadi's anger, then pleading at seeing him try to drag Dev out in his unconscious state.
'He is your brother' - Dadi cried.
'No' - He yelled.
Instead of making him weak this plea of terror from Dadi made his resolve grow stronger & he declared to her & the world yet again.
'Dev is not my brother. A man one who ruined a innocent girl's life, his Geet's life how can he be my brother !'
Maan, who has always lived by truth & his principles to him its revolting , killing to even think of Dev as his own kin.
He does not stop. Dadi's tears , nor Doctor's warning nothing stops him but his Geet - 'Maan please'.
Two words from her that makes his heart skip its beat.
In a flicker of the moment Maan's eyes express to her what he felt having heard her - from shock, to heartening concern, to anger, to pain & immense hurt.
Darting at her a admonitory glance he moves away into silence
He walks away from her.
She reaches him to soothe his anger & hurt.
His love for her that is the spring to the life in him,
is also the fuel to his hatred for Dev & only she can calm him now she knows.
He loses control over his raw emotions that are at their edge now. It makes her wince not at her own fear or hurt at his anger, but by the heart wrenching pain in his voice.
His eyes.
Immediately he holds on to her & says 'Sorry'.
Concern for Geet & their Baby is above all emotions to him,
as was to Geet love & devotion for him that had made her plead to Dev earlier.
Maan forgets his own anger & fears for Geet's state of mind & health at having seen Dev.
Dev - the name that he refuses to even utter in her presence in dread that it will hurt her more.
Hurt, it does but not for herself but him.
She knows she is both the source & balm to all his hurt & pain & so she tries to end his inner battle for him.
She tries to make him see what his own eyes, Dadi's pleading & Doctor's concern failed to show him - Dev's condition.
Maan 's eyes are mirror to his soul, which now reflect to her the pain that her attempt to reason has so deeply inflicted that he lets go of her hand that he was holding on to assure her that he wont let Dev ruin their life anymore.
He lets go of her hand & she knows the 'unsayable' has been said by her & now he will hear her no more.
Her portrayed immunity to this all adds to his fury, anger that he cannot unleash infront of her.
With threateningly calm yet roaring voice he makes his thoughts that are unchanged clear to her , for once & for all.
'Dev wont stay here.'
Before she could dare to challenge him for Dadi's sake to re-think, Dadi walks in to plead her case only to meet his strong resolve, his reasons, his principle & his love.
Overwhelmed with pride & love she watches Maan fight his only family, his Dadi for her sake.
Though he has to give in to Dadi's begging , he refuses to let this effect his family by any means.
'I don't want Dev anywhere near Geet's line of vision'.
His authoritative stance has both Dadi & Geet awestruck & rooted in silence at the dept & magnitude of his emotions for Geet.
At his Understanding & Voicing of her pain.
Something that even being a woman, wife , a mother - Dadi has failed to be sensible & sensitive about. Failed to understand.
(Dint Annie too fail to understand it by now supporting Dev!)
But the 'stone hearted' Maan Singh Khurana never failed her.
The love that gives her security & comfort now has her scared for him, for his sake, scared at the blood lust in his eyes that wants to see Dev away from his grounds, from his loved ones, from his family, his Geet & their Baby.
She senses her fears come true & realize her own misdoing in the situation when she reads his eyes filled with shock , hurt & pain at seeing her volunteer to help Dev.
Her change of mind towards Dev & his unforgivable act drives him over the edge.
He refuses to look at her having left his question hanging in between them
'What has he done to earn your concern, your forgiveness? How can you forget?'
He looks away from her trying to shield her from his growing anger at his disappointment seeing her forget her pains,
pain that he is living & enduring with her.
He looks away unable to allow her read his eyes that will yell of his raw emotions even more sharply than his words , his anger could ever do.
She realizes there is no returning point now
'Maan I am sorry'.
She is sorry for her bad luck that has him suffer now, her past that is pulling him into its darkness too.
She cries seeing him cry at his own inability to understand the change in her, at his own helplessness at not being able to make her pains, her dark past & her tears go away.
With his eyes filled with tears burning his soul he gives her one parting look with questions held in them.
No more able to speak , no more able to carry the torment of seeing her drown in tears .
He walks away.
She looks at his retreating form and cries.
Understanding his reasonable yet obsessive fury that she Silently acknowledges.
But which further more chokes her with fear at what knowledge of Dev having been the blood donor will do to her Maan.
Love is mindful and understanding
When everything falls
