i think though angry he will understand coz the situation is almost similar to the one he had to take when the doc asked to choose b/w geet nd the baby...he did choose geet...so he shud understand that geet values him more than her hatred for dev.....it may hurt his ego though!!
may be this accident was an answer to the issue that at least some had, that maan loved geet more than she loved him
