AB - Can Only Recieve Blood From AB -

I have been seeing many topics saying that blood from any blood group could be given to MSK but thats not the case. As far as I remember... Only AB - can receive red blood cells from any blood type. So i searched and found this chart!!!

Thanks for the info but here I would like to also mention that usually in modern day whole blood is rarely transfused to a patient. Usually blood is processed becaused it's components can be used to many different patients. Red blood cells are transfused to the patients who had sudden blood loss or has anemia (that is the case in here). Albumin is given to patient's who has fluid displacement to their tissues. Platelets are given where the coagulation is at risk (patient's at high risk for bleeding). And so is Fresh Frozen Plasma is given prior to a invasive procedure to avoid excessive bleeding (usually given to patient with some issues with their clotting factors).

thnx a lot..being of the same blood group as AB-ve...and knowing the fact due to having had blood transfusion..it was amazing that many people being unaware were still commenting...so thanks a lot for this post
