everytime they decide to show something hot in the serial,There r posts and comments made like plss don't make Geet bold...we cannot watch it with family..blabla and then there is other section of viewers complaining..oh Geet is preggy..so she cannot b bold..she will hv to behave like those typical bhartiya naaris that we see in rajan shahi shows
First find out who r those fans ...and then we shuold expect anything called bold in this show...😊
Firstly, isn't Star One a youth orientated channel where majority of the viewers are quite young? As far as I am aware Geet isn't considered a 'family show' anyway. Coming to the point about some posts and comments. If we take a look at the official GEET page on FB which has over 100,000 fans I think we will see that it is a very very small number of people that complain about the show being too bold in comparison to the people that write on the wall there every day demanding a SR or hotter scenes or a kiss between Maan and Geet. In fact not too long ago wasn't the status there something like 'enough about the kiss already?' lol.
Secondly, if there are a small segment of people that do complain about bold scenes then I do not think it is fair for you to say 'blah blah' and neither is there any reason to 'find out who those fans are'. Why you ask? Well, if I was watching this show with my family and there was a passionate romantic scene between Maan and Geet then I would not feel comfortable. My parents are not the conservative type, in fact my mum has never really followed any Indian drama due to her believing that they are all the same ol' stuff that's being recycled and she believes that every time she passes by while I am watching Geet the only thing that ever seems to happen in Maan and Geet staring in each other's eyes with Mahi playing in the background.😆 Anyway, despite them not being old-fashioned in their thoughts, I would still avoid watching the show with them. I watch a lot of American TV shows and I am arguably the biggest FRIENDS fan ever!😛Yet I try to avoid watching the show when my parents are around because there are a lot of sexual references on the show.
If fans feel that they can no longer watch a show with their family, then of course they will complain. Why should they feel uncomfortable while watching the show with their brother or their parents? Why should they give up on the entire show simply because they can no longer watch it with their family?
I am against the MM people coming and bossing around the show and the channel but as the TM rightly pointed out, Ekta Kapoor has a LOT of influence and her loud mouth probably helps when it comes to things like this too.😆IMO political parties needn't get involved in things like this.
I watch the show online like a lot of people so this doesn't affect me and I DO want bold scenes, probably more than anyone else but you have to take a look at where other people are coming from without making them feel bad.
