No, never got exposed to them. I see once a year when i go south. I find them too crude. I can't take the language. I saw Robot in Tamil in a Delhi theatre which is usually rare bcos wanted to take my mil for that. the last Tamil movie i saw which came highly recommended was a film called 'Santosh subramaniam' and i really enjoyed it. But that is because i am a movie freak. I can enjoy any language if the sensibility is okay.I love the humour in the english rom-coms but when that gets translated into hindi, the culture is not the same.I saw anjaana anjaani with my kids and dragged my MIL also to it. She was too shocked. I told her that it is a new generation film but she wanted to come out with the kids. But she was totally shocked.
I used to watch lots of tamil movies. my mother is from madras. i used to like old movies. but after coming here i am not watching many movies as my husband is not interested. i will go selected movies. my last movie in theater is 3 Idiots. i enjoyed it a lot. my children wants to go Robot. but i don't like Shankar movies. his is technical movies and i don't find any soul in it. i watch english movies rarely. last yr i watched mama mia and the first 50 dates suggested by one of my friend both are good.
