I wont say I am right or wrong or the best,but as a fan I had simple expectations which were very very easy to deliver but some how they were not and many fans wonder why wasnt it possible for professionals to understand this when fans were able to.

Did fans demand anything which involved high budget and something which required great writing work?

No..

Fans simply asked for continuation and Maaneet scenes....and the plot too was there to offer many and many moments without need of parallel tracks...and those involved too wud have been accepted had they been potrayed like supporting track.

My story of Geet which I expected would come out but it never did and whatever came out came out at wrong time,here it comes in bits and peices becoz the indetail article is deleted now..

Natural plot of Geet and natural events how they would have come accross.

1) Geet got married to dev and got cheated ( I wasnt knowing the series)

2) Geet is pregnant and is forced to kill the baby ( I did not even watch it yet)

3) Geet attacked by brother and saved by Maan ( Saw it only in flashback moments)

4) Geet comes to Delhi and works in Maan's office( started watching and fell in love)

5) Maan and Geet fall in love and proposal ( Best moments of Geet)

6) Maan's reaction to geet's pregnancy ( decisive plot came in very very early)

7) Maan and Geet's reaction to Dev being the culprit ( badly handled plot,very badly)

8) Geet's decision to be with Maan or stay away becoz of Dev ( pathetic treatment)

9) Case and trial of Dev and NainT( yet to come but seems to be forgotten)

10) Maaneet wedding( most memorable moment made look most disastrous by AA track)

11) Baby born and life after wedding ( yet to come)

12) Sameera's entry and Maan's loyalty challenged( yet to come)

13) Return of Vicky and Geet's family members( was expected during wedding)

14) In between to spice up the matter which was brilliantly thought by makers but failed by potraying dev in it,a stalker and his role in taking Maan and Geet's life ahead,a plot thought by writers but showing Dev as the stalker has yet again flushed the excitement.

15) The soul of treatment,how Maan eventually makes Geet a modern,independent aland a girl who was once cheated to a women who is now playing a strong role in the society and is admired

These are the 15 pointers around which I would have built the story,I had built these pointers months ago to build expectations and a simple storyline which wud be adored by everyone,except the stalker part which is maker's yet another under utilised idea,I had a plot where Geet's old friend comes in and who is a great friend of Geet has no other feelings but friendship for her and a comedy plot involving Geet,Maan and the friend in it..

Not even a plot or treatment where Maan is jealous and stuff...a friend as a parallel track to add to fun in life of Maaneet...

Crucial moments which would change the course of the story and its feel.

1) Geet revealing she is pregnant

2) Dev,Maan and Geet's confrontation

3) Maaneet wedding

There were others too but these three shud have been used when the romance seemed fading and the series needed a jump..in short...when excitement was needed and surely this is how I expected...these events would come..

[Geet reveals her past and Maan is shattered...

First crucial moment which depending on the plots which cud have come and wud have been easily accepted this scene cud have easily come at episode 175 if not later...

How,well imagine episode 110 and add to it atleast 10 episodes even more cud be added but now consider only 10 where becoz of fake engagement Maan and Geet are thrown in funny situations..

followed by 25 episodes of a competitor coming in,Geet clashing Maan as client and above all a competitor's track forcing both feel and realise their feelings to eventually bringing them back together in khurana constructions..

In between add song tracks and dance performances and meetings and visits and common outings and parties and finally out of restlessness

Maan says "Maan ki Geet" infront of all elites in Delhi and people who know Maan shocking dadi and every one...

Well ideally for me the episode shud have come as episode 175 atleast if not 200....

how was it possible?

Well I always blaim for lack of planning by makers and for right reasons...

It is well known that writers and creative people follow trial and error formula but when the team Geet knew Maan and Geet's love story was appealing fans then I guess the trial and error ends there.

From episode 50 to 115..nearly 4 months and a TRP of 1.5 during out house scenes,a formula tested and succesfull but was not understood by makers but was understood by unprofessional like me

from episode 110 to 115: fake engagement plot and circumstances

from episode 116 to 150: competitor plot with 150 being Maan expressing his true feelings out of restlessness

from episode 151 to 175; Geet,Maan and office and their awkwardness restlessness,clients coming in,emotional scenes,manali trip,pyaar ka ghar concept and finally the big bang..

does it sound unrealistic,trust me 175 is the least..if desired and fans supported..cud have easily stretched to 200..

but now keeping it optimum just optimum...

Geet reveals her past and Maan is shattered and follow all those scenes by makers which were shown after the truth was revealed...till the point Maan and Geet reach station

Those scenes were great and were loved and considered natural outcome...

So now

Maan prposes Geet unofficially and brings Geet back followed by a proposal and build up where Maan makes Geet comfortable and proposes her

Maan and geet get engaged it is fun all over and come next day in office Geet as fiance of Maan,making sasha and tasha feel sad and bad..office fun...and romance where Maan tries to come close to Geet..you know..like few moments where maan and geet are now engaged and are having fun in office

new officially approved couples and their romance...

Now for thos who will feel it is easy for me to say now,if you are lucky to read my earlier articles,you will realise i have been consistently writing as to how the plot where Geet reveals her truth cud have been extended

Imagine a parallel track involving Dev and Nanint it wud have been fun to see them sweating and nervous...

well Dev,Maan and geet confrontation...Geet going away without saying a word..but definitely not at the time of wedding or engagement as shown..

Geet informing Maan she wud not be marrying him,Dev's identity is still a secret..to Maan and Maan feels cheated by Geet...

Offcourse this wud have brought the series back on the old platform where Geet earlier was..

good old days back..

where this time Geet is hiding her feelings becoz of dev and maan is unaware of it and feels geet is playing with his feelings ..giving ....a contrasting feeling

Geet after properly welcoming Maan back home leaves the job...

Since she has no proof and Maan's health is not good...she keeps dev's reality a secret only to reveal laterafter being forced

Now over here I had thought Maan indirectly provides Geet a job in his friends company,who later on signs a project with khurana constructions and sends Geet back to khurana constructions as a special person in charge..to give maaneet moments..

all this done by maan to bring geet back in khurana constructions..

1) Maan feels he was cheated
2) Geet comes back to office
3) Geet registers complain against Dev
4) Dev is arrested and Maan comes to know the truth
5) Maan and Geet both feel sorry for each other
6) circumstance bring them together yet again
7) finally they clear the air..

starting episode 251...Maaneet wedding and sequences of challenges thrown by naint where she comes out of jail,geet's family coming back...fun all over and in between after Geet family comes back..
just when wedding functions are to begin Vicky comes back

Yes Maan's brother vicky comes back

Maaneet wedding with full on fun and only entry of Brij..yess to add to twist...
no arjun even if naint was not available..brij only as a reason for future build up..

again brij's track wud end on a good note where he apologises to geet,an emotional scene involving brij and geet,who realises his mistake after seeing darji and others supporting geet

certainly from 250 episodes to 300 episodes from build up to maaneet wedding to finally maaneet wedding in episode 300..

if you feel if it was possible then offcourse it was becoz the present geet team took 40 odd episodes from build up to maaneet wedding

The most important track:

A parllel love story track built between adi and pinky and at the same time between vicky and geet's younger sister..

now what's wrong in it..certainly it wud give a feel good feeling

who want s a parallel track like arjun and annie which is so independent that maaneet scenes have no scope

Specially Vicky and Geet's younger sisters track wud have been fun providing great scope to watch dewar bhabhi relationship...as well and fun associated with..it..

following maaneet wedding the tracks where

1) stalker comes in,who is geet's lover i mean silent idiots who keep their feelings inside,great thought but unfortunately even this was wasted

2) Doctor's advice to keep away from physical relationship

3) Maan confronting Sameera

4) Sameera creating issues in Maan's life by trying to seduce him,wud really cast someone hot dman hot..

5) Baby of geet born..and life after baby is born...

These are the tracks which go with the mother plot or original plot..

Add to this a plot where Dev is step brother of Maan

Maan's parents are divorced and his mother is responsible who ran away..

these plots look pathetic and sound very boring though,but treatment is what matters..

Specially after wedding it was possible for makers to add even more maaneet fun with geet going to office and treatment taking a comic turn where life of Maan and Geet is celebrated.

Parallel tracks would eventually come to take their love to next level:

Like court case and trial,sameera and other challenges...

100 episodes with short and precise treatment....

If want in details elaboration then wait for a while..

But post wedding it was easy to stretch the plot to 500 episodes with fun retained becoz parallel tracks wud support and with stalker's plot it was even more easier..

Becoz stalker's plot and doctor's advice itself cud have eaten up 50 episodes without anyone getting bored..

[Well before I continue with the coming episodes,here is my observation as to how team Geet squandered the advantage they had:

"All that is written is in comparision to what was acheived with the oppurtunity which was there and what could be acheived."

With a genuine request to moderator of the page to read it and forward it to concerned authority and to consider it only as a constructive feedback from a customer ( Viewer) and not

as an effort from just another fan to spread panic and negativity.The article is based on facts and it only contains general feeling which viewers of Geet have for the series with

exceptions offcourse and more importantly if liked should be considered to find out ways of common ground so that the series gains and not looses becoz of the creative differences

between fans and makers which has cost the series in terms of TRP's but the good thing is liking for leads has not declined but has only shooted up.

Results of the six month long study on the series " Geet" the most popular show on television,as a part of my intentions to initiate changes and bring about change in the attitude of

men in particular towards daily soaps as entertainment and more importantly find out new ways of opening up market for television industry with series which can attract men too

and Geet certainly did for few weeks.

More importantly understand the reasons why,creatives from small screen industry fail to gain stardom like bolly big shots and why the perception of viewers changes the moment

stars of small screen clash with stars of big screen,making stars of small screen look small in front of stars of big screen.

To give you an idea it is the attitude and the behaviour and persona management which is built by creatives of small screen infront of viewers which holds them back.

The reason why Geet was chosen is for the fact that the lead pair is the most charismatic pair ever seen and have the potential to break all bench marks provided their talent is

properly complimented by the behind the scenes team.

Here comes the results of the observation done on series Geet for 6 months and despite gaining alot of success the series managed to gain only a few drops from the vast ocean of

oppurtunities the track,the story and more importantly considering the backing and liking the lead pair Drashti and Gurmeet have and one can only say the present state is

unfortunate considering the oppurtunity and more importantly the efforts required by back end team was minimal,becoz the persona of leads picks anything and everything written.

"Thank u Starone and makers for "we dont bother" and love you Drashmeet with all blessings for great moments."

Drashti and Gurmeet and some magic called " Maaneet effect" which is only a result of "symmetry" of faces when shown together,something which an artist would be interested in and

for years many have been studying the psychological reason behind why one pair or person appeals more than others,I am not entering into it despite knowing the exact reason

behind magic of the chemistry Drashti and Gurmeet have.But the fact is series Geet shooted to sky highs becoz of the leads with a good and decent storyline.

The point is,they ( Drashmeet) are such a USP ( Unique Selling Point) that one can gain all the possible success and even that beyond imagination and never thought,provided the

technical team is not over smart and beleives in planning.

Makers of Geet striked gold by casting Drashti and Gurmeet opposite each other,luckily characters too were strong and gave a alot of scope to explore and potray them in the best

possible manner and they did for few weeks too,but one attitude cost the series big time and above all the actors and people associated with the series and it

is.................................................

" We dont bother"


Now it depends on how you look at it,whether you look at what is acheived or what could be acheived?
