please either remove AA or replace nikunj bczoz piyush is ok or while shooting their scenes,don't show their facial expressions.rather we can see their back or their hair or the background.

guys i am not a a hater but i love geet and maan so deeply but we have to give AA a chance so when we see geet every day we need a parallel romance and i think its perfect but it needs some work that is it

On demand of fans Vikrant's last 5 questions

1) What made you take the decision of bringing Dev infront of Geet during engagement party,knowing fans would not be happy,was that the

only option left for you?

personal analysis and observation says, it was brought in cos there was nothing else that would pull audience in Gurmeets absence ... yes the

timing was bad, but the execution of that one particular episode was a master-piece and i wouldnt take that away from them!!! it was the

best they could do at that time me thinks ...
well yes they couldn't follow it up well, which was a flaw on their part .. !!

Vikrant Khatri replies:

Well you see it from a shorter perspective and Nissar is lucky that he can hide his biggest mistake behind Guru's illness being the reason.

Understand the broader view:

It is true that the treatemnt was pathetic and was so negative that the first chunk of fans left Geet at that time when geet confronted maan.

But,the real reason is, makers showed incompetancy in handling popularity and Nissar's statement given during Guru's illness proves it...

Here is Nissar's statement: "Things were going too fast and i had to take corrective actions and slow down things"
This was October 2010.

Now my question to award winning director: Geet series became more popular when geet came to delhi,episode 50 and Geet and maaneet

became household name and the craze was optimum best between episode 50 and episode 115...( episode 115 geet reveals truth to

maan,she is pregnant)

65 episodes and 4 months were not good enough for Nissar to plan when he would reveal Geet's pregnancy and when Dev would confront

Geet..these were the plots which shud have been used when fans were loosing interest in Geet..

If u remember,Maan and geet's fake engagement took place around episode 107 and there was so much scope to build funny situations where

maan and geet have to act like real couples making them fall in love and geet realising maan was right for him and it was time for her to say

the truth,certainly a competitor in the form of jay,offering a ceo post cud have sensed good,becasue maan and geet were not engaged and

fans wud have kept hooked,but he realises it later and brings the plot after when maan and geet have proposed..making fans take jay out

and oppose the track,bcasue no one wanted any1 to come inbetween maan and geet and certainly not after they proposed each other.

There are many examples I have which can prove,that it was Nissar and technical teams incompetancy and lack of vision which drowned the

series Geet..and the current stage is for the same reason..

It was their lack of vision and incompetancy that made him bring dev confront geet...

The fact is he took audiences for granted and his lack of planning and ability to take control was badly exposed after episode 115 when geet

reveals truth,trust me,geet lost its ground after that episode becasue the truth was revealed too early..

Instead of stretching the negative plots which he did after october and is still doing it,he could have stretched the plot where Maan and

Geet were falling in love..

Well if you remember,Drashti was in UP,I guess allahbad or Luckhnow,where she expressed delight when fans were crying and shouting for her

Drashti's statement in July: "We knew we were liked but we did not knw that we were loved so much"

Now you could argue that since it is past I am saying it:
But the day the add was aired when geet was shown saying she was pregnant,I had written an article on facebook,
"The impact of Geet revealing truth can only be understood after geet series is over" and many wont deny that it came too early..

But Nissar cud not figure out..

My point is,were 4 months not good enough for Nissar and writers to plan how to take the series forward,how to exhaust the epsiodes and

which track to concentrate more on,certainly it showed they were sleeping and Guru's illness striked at the wrong time becasue writers and

Nissar's past incompetancy and planning had ruined the platform...

Swati pande's statement after Maan,Dev and geet confrontation:

"Its true that the future track is not constructive and not planned yet"

had it been any other series which is not that popular then such a justification was ok,because with TV world,writers and directors try and

test plots and check response..

But with Geet till episode 115 the writers knew fans were loving Maan and Geet falling in love...and they had a chance of extending and

stretching that plot instead of stretching negative tracks..which they did later..

Ok now sticking to what he did,but how he did was even more pathetic:

Now,Geet revealing the truth and engagement to happen and Guru fell ill,made Nissar bring in Dev,but he knew fans wud not welcome it,the

joy will be lost with hardly 140 episodes over and wud prove costly in long term,but he still brings him...what he did is,the treatment was so

negative that most felt geet is no more worth watch,and he did all this to create excitement..

His idea of creating excitement has played against him everytime,even now his idea of creating excitement during wedding has ruined the

charm of geet infact ended geet for thousands who watched it religiously,TRP's would show Nissar and star one...

what nissar has not realised that his twist and turns and entry of new characters during maaneet wedding has ruined everything,Arjun and

Annie if continued for few more days will result in a state where fans wont come back becasue Nissar wont be trusted anymore and infact

then he will have to rely on Drashti and Gurmeet to deliver scenes for 18 mins atleast for 6 days and on regular basis which will exhaust the

leads and Geet will end on a sad note with leads opting to get out rather than compromising family and personal priorities for a series which

could have been a bench mark and a series the makers,channel,stars and fans would have been proud of...but incompetancy of the technical

team and cheap and very sad policies of starone,such as 6 days airing and chopping repeat timings of geet..led to one of the great debacles

which will be studied in management colleges and media and communication colleges to make others learn,how a series with so much

capability to rewrite history books was made look like a sunk Titanic ship and was a mere waste,becasue the director,writers and authorities

were so incompetant that they cud not handle and manage the popularity and love fans had for the series.

So,it was Nissar's incompetancy to understand fans feelings and lack of vision about what he could acheive with Drashti and Gurmeet as

leads and pair which made him choose the easiest option available becasue buiding a plot around Dev was easy to justify and create,but he

messed with the treatment as well..

2) Is Drashti and Guru's health been affected due to long working hours to satisfy fans demand?is it the reason for stretching Arjun and Annie

track,despite fans objections?

could be their healths and also the fact that it is humanly impossible to run a tv series on two characters only .. other shows on tv earlier are

a proof multi-starrers always help you share the load, but they never really make up for or compensate for the absence of the leads .. the fan

following is such that the more you see them the more you want of them ..
As for Arjun and Annie, i think they are doing fine in their places at the moment, cos if you look at the immediate track you will see how they

have been nicely inter-woven with the main plot . the day to day execution does mess around with your head, but the over-all picture is clear

of that of two people who could be perhaps together, but cant now cos there are many other complications involved which by itself is a

challenge in itself .. Maan and Geet according to me have reached almost a road end, and we need other things to push and effect their story

.. and lets face it, Annie and Arjun are slowly making a place in our hearts ...

If that is how makers think,then they shud end geet on a good note..

For me the real Maan geet story starts now..

The post wedding plot is such a great plot to show nok zhok and romance you cant imagine,50 episodes can be easily planned with fun.

Apart from this

1) maaneet wedding celebration is ruined and wasted

2) Dev and naint case and maan helping geet

3) Baby maan and geet and maan taking care of geet

4) office fun with geet coming to office after wedding and maan and geet relationship in office of that of a boss and employee and vice a

versa at home

5) Sameera coming in

Ihave so many plots that other useless plots wont be required,Drashti and Gurmeet can have sigh of releif and fans can be still happy and

geet will be number one,but i dont have the oppurtunity to atleast convey what is going against geet series..

I object:

"Annie and Arjun are slowly making a place in our hearts ...

it may be your heart but millions are opposing it,my feel after feedback from my family and punjabi community in my town which watches

geet is,AA track is pathetic and now watching geet is irritating and unworthy becasue of AA track and twists in wedding..

Drashti and Gurmeet are the only reason to watch Geet,makers and channel if ignore this fact would be finding themselves in trouble.
If I was the producer,I would have thought of only them becasue they were the ones who were getting me more than expected and as

incentive I wud have taken proper care of them,just like companies do,they make sure their main man or person gets all those facilities which

will make his feel good..

The lack of planning and vision from not only ruined the series but also brought too much pressure on Guru and Drashti..what was required is

a simple plot where DD and GC had a constructive plot in sequence with a good script to deliver and act together..

They are such great actors that an optimum script an average script and a plot looks fantab and never seen before becasue Drashti and

gurmeet are acting in it...

Arjun and Annie track is opposed for treatment and time share,fans wud prefer watching 2 min maximum of AA nonsense and 2 mins of office

staff fun and 15 mins of Maaneet scenes or scenes where Maan and geet are involved with others...but AA track is an independent track with

no scope for maaneet scenes and is adding to frustation and irritation of fans..

The fact is,tracks of jay and meera,romeo tasha,sasha,adi and pinky manishaa and pandey ji were wasted because of lack of planning and for

Arjun and annie track maan and geet track was also sacrificed.

it is quiet evident that maaneet wedding was ruined to build arjun and annie track..it was possible to show long maaneet scenes but those

were edited for AA track,sheila ki jawani and sangeet function..trust me a lower middle class familie's function wud look more spectacular

than Maaneet sangeet funstion,felt like even the servants did not participate..anyways...to the topic..

At the end of the day,even i wont like to see a stressed and over worked Drashti and gurmeet for my entertainment but it does not mean i

wud entertain those two irritating rats Arjun and annie and expect makers that fans will be loyal..and enjoy the series..other tracks are there

and options too are there.


3) What made you feel that bringing twists in Maaneet wedding would be a better idea than a happy Maaneet wedding?


no clue, no idea, they wanted to make the wedding different, but i had no clue it was going to be this different

Nissar used it only to build Arjun and Annie track and above all his habit of playing with fans emotions,he knew fans wud be hooked and

excited,but this was his last blunder and fans were infact so irritated that all the fun and craze was lost and wedding prolonged made

everyone loose interest..

Again,fans were fed up of too much negativity..

In short nissar's lack of vision and understanding what fans wanted led to wastage of the only option which cud have given the series a new

hope..

For many the charm is lost and that charm was the USP of Geet and many wud still watch it but not take it seriously,which is so unfair

becasue Drashti and gurmeet are so precious and this might be once in a life time oppurtunity to see them in such a good build up and

characterisation..

4) Are fans expecting too much from you guys and should expect less?

well, we expect too much cos they never let us down in the past, right now there is more disappointment than expectations .. whatever they

deliver could be better also, but ab humare sabr ka baandh toot gaya hai ...

The high expectation built are making fans demand more,hence they are demanding more,but star one's decsion has played badly
6 day airing was going to force Nissar to introduce parallel tracks which degraded the quality of the series..

5) Tell us one reason and just one except Drashti and Gurmeet,that we should trust you and continue watching Geet?


Direction, Arjun-Annie, sets costumes, song sequences ...

Arjun and annnie can be a joke and only those who dont have taste of what to watch and what to ignore wud be watching Arjun and annie

track..

The only USP wud be

"Nissar saying: relive the nok zhoks,with even more intense maaneet romance and scenes,becasue now they are married which gives us

license to show some plots which were possible only after wedding"

Ask Nissar to air this in an Add on star one and see the reaction.

The show's TRP's wud rise in hope of getting what is desired..

At the end:

Vikrant Khatri is taking so much effort only to save the only true entertainment on television and understands that for Nissar or anyone

handling Maan and Geet and love for them is the biggest challenge,becasue Geet is loved for them and if now fans are reacting it is only

becasue the expectations are not met,forget expectations things are so bad that fans feel.it is better to stop watching than feel bad after

watching.

Geet if ever shuts down,it will only be becasue of high expectations of fans and difference in views and vision of fans and makers which will

make fans feel geet is unwaorthy despite makers putting in efforts.

My point is,cant the makers relise what fans want.

Vikrant khatri is still a loyal fan of Drashti and gurmeet but boycotts series geet so that makers can understand that fans cannot be taken

for granted.

Last week saw an article where creative producer Mr Neeraj Sachdev had expressed he was waiting for feedbacks regarding the new track and twist to AA track.

I am not pointing at any1 bcoz I am least bothered now,it is your baby,the sooner you all realise that AA track has been a complete turn off and the nuisance factor and one track which not only destoyed the Maaneet wedding feel but is also ruining the fun after it.

Instead of concluding and cutting down on the track,it seems makers are interested in extending it,too bad for them.

AA track beyond 3 mins a day is unbearable and such is the extend of irritation that many who have net connection prefer to watch the episode later on after downloading it and forwarding the AA scenes.

My job is not to pin point but fans will accept AA track for only 3 mins maximum and within that a treatment where Annie is making life difficult for Arjun.

Rest 3 to 4 mins can be utilised to concentrate on tracks involving Adi,pinky,tasha and romeo and manishaaa..

It is a challenge and an unfortunate and unfair demand but Drashti and Gurmeet are the only desired factor in Geet,their presence has made many forget other illogical factors and made many enjoy the series.

If you really care for fans feedback then this might well be a universal feeling amongst fans.

Geet page moderator,if you really wanna convey a feedback this is one major feedback which is been given since months.

Those who relate to what is written can reply and register support.

Vikrant Khatri wishes great luck and wishes to team Geet for remarkable plots and hopes minor issues and tracks which are universally unacceptable are chopped to few minutes and fans are spared from the torture and frustation which unfortunately comes out on such platforms and results in mass negativity.

There is a famous story about sailor whose ship gets drowned and calls for God's help to save his life,many ships pass by him directing and asking him to board their ship and save his life,but the over smart sailor waits for God to come and save him and eventually dies.

Later when he complains,God gets upset and angry and questions the sailor as to what he thought when those ships came sailing and the fellow sailors asked him to board and save his life.

"Team Geet for some reason seems so obssessed with the Arjun and Annie track that despite millions suggesting that it is a major turn off and is unbearable beyond 3 minutes maximum,for some unrealistic reason the track comes for 7 odd minutes and adding to insult is the fact that it is getting dragged,stretched and in the process,logic seems to be sacrificed,great actors in terms of Adi Sir,Pinky,romeo,tasha and Manishaa look under utilised,wasted for a track which has not only faded,degraded the class of the series but has also been badly cursed for its role in ruining the Maaneet wedding.

There is no way this track can be accepted by Maaneets and if it is a filler becasue Maaneet scenes cannot come for the entire show and parallel tracks are needed as support then 3 mins is the threshold.

In the process of justifying their track,Khurana Construction and the office environment has been brutally compromised giving an very illogical and irritating feel where suddenly things look absolutely illogical.

What is more hurting that possible plots and scenes of Maaneet which cab be elaborated are cut shot to accomodate Arjun Annie scenes.

Despite an unfair demand but cannot be an excuse in entertainment bizzz,if viewers are demanding more and in detail life of Maan and Geet,it is high time those who make decisions understand a very simple feedback which is in sweet language.

"Drashti and Gurmeet are the only reason,the only reason infact had it been practically possible then fans would have demanded to show them for 20 mins with all parallel plots too involving them.

The reason why fans have gone out of control is predominantly becoz of unnecessary footage given to Arjun and Annie track and it getting dragged despite being universally opposed.

With no intentions of targetting and pointing out any one in team Geet and since they are not my friends to pin point..

As a mere passionate Maaneet fan its a plead rather than request to makers of Geet that please spare us from torture of watching Arjun and Annie for more than 3 minutes,please do justice to the sacred track of Maan and Geet and please do not check the patience of fans because beleive me..

If love for Maaneet is something never seen before then the retaliation and disgust and irritation which viewers are feeling,expressing and objecting becoz of AA track will also be something never seen before.

My only feedback as a fan,as a customer who invests time to watch your show Geet,as a viewer who chooses your show above other shows is

"If AA track is dragged and Maaneet scenes not elaborated,justified and concentrated upon,makers are asking for trouble."


Vikrant Khatri fees with doctor's advice made look baseless with Geet's attitude and with Dev being the stalker,team Geet has yet again played another blunder which is indeed unfortunate becoz the excitement and above all had the track where doctor's advice was properly used to give passionate Maaneet moments,meaningfull justified and properly built scenes where Maaneet's love would have gone to another level,it seems the current wiriting team is concentrating more on throw a challenge for Maaneet and test their relationship instead of celebrate and live the this sacred relationship which is now been idolised by fans and it hurts becoz Maaneet's for many is not just a relationship,it is a faith.

Maaneet is a faith and when faith is shattered the reactions are beyond imagine and control.

Vikrant Khatri does not intend to spread any panic or negativity and apologises for the language if sounds very tough but this is the sweetest possible way I can convey my feedback and make the makers aware of the possible future circumstances of their recent debacle within one day.
