It was not so long ago
when I thought I'd never meet someone like you.
Wrong was I, thinking I'm in control
Believing I'd never fall.

All my life I thought no one would
melt a heart like mine, a heart so cold,
a heart hardened by the past,
protected by shields so vast.

Slowly I was falling

Only to find out too late

The pain didn't fade away,
And I had to live with it every day.

In return, I didn't mean to hurt you
but I just couldn't let you go.
But still, I couldn't hold on much longer
because for us there seemed no forever.

I was sad because of what you did
But, I was mad because I blame myself
What if I said or did something different
Maybe we would've found happiness sooner.

I'm sorry for the times you cried,
and the loneliness you felt inside.
I'm sorry for the way things were,
and the setbacks that you endured.

I'm sorry for the empty space,
that lay beside you in my place.
I'm sorry for the empty arms;
you fell into when times were hard.

I'm sorry for the days that passed,
Our love now will surely last.
I'm sorry it took so long to vow,
to love you forever here and now.

It took you a while, but you gave me back my smile
Let us now hold our hands and make this vow
To erase all that pain and leave the past behind.
To forgive, forget and restore that tie that binds.

Though the trials of life will come by just the same,
The firmness of our love forever will remain.
In joy and in happiness, in heartache and in pain.
To you and you alone, I'll fall in love again and again.

The way I feel about you words can't say,
I want you in my life each and every day.
I know in my heart, we're meant to be together.

For now, let me just share with you a poem I wrote for myself as a summary of the story from Maan's point of view. It is not as brilliant as the writings of others like Kashish, but hope it will do for now.
