Today is one of those days of pure bliss ! My thoughts are flowing freely and fast. Hope I capture all of them in my take today. It's worth a try.
So this is how Maan keeps his 'aakhri vaada'

Wait a minute ! What do we have here ? Oh right, like my friends called it, it's ice-chi ! Ice, ice baby ! I'm so happy with today's episode, I'm rambling….hmmm…time to gather my thoughts.
I'd mentioned that when Maan realizes his mistake, he will rectify them but also, he'll be the hardest on himself. So he has the taveez, what do you know…he'd picked it off the KC office floor. Superb use of FBs. I'm setting you free Geet from that pain which made u raise your hand on me. From that feeling which joins u to me, I've set u free. Coz that feeling took me away from me. I've never reached this low before, why did I do it, whatever I did was wrong.
Nissar, this is exactly what I was expecting. You used to show these self-evaluation scenes of Maan in the early day when Geet starts working at KC. I'm so glad u brought them back today. Makes connecting the dots so easy.
I've fallen in my own eyes….so now u have to go away Geet, this is the right thing. Watch the pain and determination in Maan's eyes. He is trying to do what is right for Geet (according to him) – leaving him, so he's setting her free. At the same time, Geet not being a part of his life is the toughest punishment he can give himself for his monstrous deed.
Geet's intuition

The look in his eyes still disturbs her as she is unable to guage his thoughts. She gets a sense of foreboding that she wont see those eyes again. Betcha, that's probably the time Maan sold Indian Paints and set her free. She tries to brush off her sense of unease. How can a man who is so punctual not return after an hour like he'd said ? Her misgivings are confirmed when she hears the 3 stooges lamenting loudly. She finds out that Maan has sold the factory … a factory that he'd purchased for Geet per Dadi.

To add to the workers woes, the new owner had welcomed them all with termination letters. When Ram Pyare asks generally what caused Maan to suddenly sell his company, Geet knows the answer – the slap act ! Now things start making sense – the look in Maan's eyes, his promise of giving her an answer in an hour, why Maan sold the company. She knows that what's happening is wrong….further solidifying Geet's realization.
Loved Geet's thinking – I realize that he did something wrong in haste but why by leaving me behind ?
So if the mountain wont come to Mahomet, Mahomet goes to the mountain. Geet goes to the mansion to talk to Maan.
Maan's ice-chi

He breaks the first ice block remembering Geet's words, how he betrayed her with the dance, how he forcibly held her. He breaks the second block remembering the scene at the pool, how he dragged her out of KC, the Diwali event….in the process hurts himself. Why ice-chi ? Why not his regular Maan-chi or wood-chi ? I think Nissar was trying to show the two sides of Maan – the fire in him ignited by his love for Geet and the ice that has coated his heart which made him do despicable acts. He used the fire of his love to melt the ice around his heart so the human Maan can emerge.
Many times in the past, every time Geet got hurt, Maan was there. Today, when Maan hurts his hand with the second ice block, Geet appears.
I'll wait outside for you breaks his thoughts. Geet why are you hear ? U sold the factory. Yes I did. Why? To set you free (watch the pain in him as he says those words)
Free ? Geet is shocked. You took this decision alone again ? U shud have asked me at least once. So he asks her…Geet do u want freedom ? Maan finds it so difficult to ask that question. His heart is crying out aloud hoping she will refuse. When she takes some time to answer, Maan turns to leave. To stop him from leaving Geet moves forwards, steps on the ice and hurts herself. Her gasp is enough to bring Maan rushing to her side. He sees the blood on her ankle, covers it with his hand but hesitates, still feeling guilty. Geet , are you in pain ? You must be in pain too, right ? Geet counters. Maan must have seen the pain (of him setting her free) in her eyes. What s the point of this pain, the endurance limit has been broken …so was this limit broken because I raised my hand on you. Maan realizes that Geet still holds herself guilty. Unable to see her pain, he walks away. But Geet, thinking quickly, stops him …why r u punishing those workers for my mistakes ? They are sacked by the new owner. Maan is surprised since that probably was not part of the deal.
Reality sets in …Geet whatever happened yesterday…Geet interrupts with 'Yes', my answer is Yes to all the questions u asked me yesterday….whether it makes a differenct to me … my answer is yes, it does make a difference to me. Maan's head swings around when he hears those words !
But Geet says this was never in doubt. Now I know why Geet kept quiet when Maan had asked those questions at the farmhouse….becoz for Geet he should have known the answer since that was never in doubt. The real question was whether Geet could stand on her own feet without Maan. Whatever happened wasn't right…I shud have controlled myself…Geet, u going away from me is the right thing. Ha ha ha , Maan does not say ' I have to go away from you …he says tumhara mujhse door jana hi behetar hai'…because even now he cant bear to be away from him….LOL …there is still hope….LOL !!!
Geet's confession…did u get it Maan? Tubelight on ho gayee ke nahi ? Itni aasani se mein aapko meri zindagi se nahi jaane de sakti. Geet this is right for both of us that I go far away from you…dhat teriki.
Think fast Geet ….b4 he leaves. Wow ! what a comeback ! Dar gaye na aap that I will win without you , stand on my own feet ? That's why u r running away from war. A++ Geet for using reverse psychology on Maan….Bravo !
Maan sir haar gaye ! She called him a loser ! Loved the way she re-ignites his pride by challenging it and also superbly secures her colleagues jobs and her place near him ! Oh My Gosh ! Fantastic strategy, Geet ! Barry – tussi great ho !
I can prove it that I'm not a loser. What can u prove…that u can give the jobs back or can u take me back ? Oh this fish swallowed the bait ! Ha ha ! Geet you will all work in my office, all , you too. And I will prove that MSK never loses…and yes you cant win without my help.
Unknowingly today without any help u taught me to live…u always fought for us but today…(missed this part )
I love it ! You go, girl ! The effort required by Geet to bring Maan back to the world of living was spectacular. Hail, the Power of Love ! Geet wants Maan to realize his mistakes but she does not want to see him defeated. With these 4 simple words, Geet gives back Maan his pride and rekindles hope. MSK is not MSK without his pride…. He wont be the same MSK Geet fell in love with. She just found him again. Oooh, I cant wait to see the new confident, proud Maan ! YES !!!
What Geet did today to rekindle hope and confidence in Maan was similar to what Maan did to Geet the day after the sari stripping fiasco.
True love is when you accept your partner with all his strengths and weaknesses.
True love is when you help him overcome his weakness and re-acquaint him with his strengths.
True love is when you give him the courage to stand up tall again.
True love is when you help him recognize that you still have faith and trust in him inspite of all the adversities.
True love is not about keeping accounts but giving selflessly, owning up to your mistakes, joining forces and forging ahead in life together.
Maaneet are exhibiting these principles…today is a new beginning.
