I hope that Geet does get the independence she wants, but not because she needs 'to acknowledge Maan' but quite the opposite so that she learns how to live by herself.Maan needs to get over his ego, cos that is what it is. I never understood why he was so hell bent on making her admit this in the first place, it reminded me of the time when he wanted her to accept that she loved him despite the fact that he hadn't declared his love for her. In fairness she didn't say that she didn't love him or that he didn't mean anything to her anymore, she said that she didn't need his help - there's a difference. And after he said he hates her, later that same episode she accepts to herself that they are both lying and they do mean something for each other. Thus she already knows that he means something to her regardless of this fight, what she is not going to do is massage his ego by saying I need your help - and honestly why should she?? Before he loved her, back in Hoshyarpur correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this the same man that told her that you have to learn to stand on your own two feet, you can't always have a man waiting to save you (be it your brother, father or husband) and that she needed to learn to be independent. It was this advice that kept Geet going, so why the change?? Why does he want her to remind under him, always in need of him to save her and look after?? Why does he want such an unequal relationship? For those who disagree feel free to comment. Personally I am not even bothered about the misunderstanding in the office any more because since then Maan has done everything in this power to hurt Geet. I know that Geet gave a public statement him dragging her out of his office in full view of his staff is no less humiliating. He also has insulted her in public before, anyone remember the party she hosted when he yelled at her in front of the clients and Sasha without listening?I get that some of you think that it's okay that Maan is treating Geet like this because he was hurt and angry but it just doesn't feel justified. She misunderstood him and he takes it so personally that he thinks the best thing to do is plan 'mission Geet Handa'??How many times did Maan misunderstand Geet, how many times did she have to run after him and beg him to listen. He has helped her constantly but he also kept note of that, made sure that she remained weaker then him. It's like he said that tym when they returned from the station that you need me because you can't do anything without me - there was a hint of pride and ego in that. Oh and finally let's not forget that she helped him when she goes bk to Hosyarpur just to save him from that woman who wants to sue him, even though it was dangerous for her to go back.No offence to anyone, this is how I feel though.
