Loved the episode today. Execution was what we'd been groomed to expect from you, by you. No complains from me today on that regard…had the right amount of drama….but…tomorrow will be critical. Especially Maan's reaction will be extremely critical. Tread carefully. You haven't disappointed us in the past, so am not expecting to be disappointed tomorrow. But your recent track of 'on again, off again' behavior leads me to caution you. Must commend you on maintaining Maaneet characters.

Maaneet's relationship has gone through a lot of upheavals. From the HP days to the almost-engagement days. The initial euphoria gave way to a settling down period and testing the foundation of that relationship. As they say, if your love is strong, it can weather any storms. We'll soon be witness to how Maaneet weather this particular hurricane which is set to test the very base of their foundation.

The ratcheting up of emotions seemed to have reached a crescendo today. Has it reached its peak ? The Slap indicates it must have but…tomorrow should tell us.

Maan rage is growing in similarity to anyone being hysterical. That bout of hysteria, when it reaches a certain high level, has to be controlled with a tight slap…..that is the most common cure. And that is what I saw in today's episode.

Yesterday, it was Geet's turn to realize that her ego trip had gone too far. Maan's pain and his feelings of hatred towards her seemed to have triggered a self-correcting mechanism in her. Today it was Maan's turn.

Arhaana pushes Geet into the pool Geet cant swim…saved by Maan. HP revisited. This is how their encounter began. Today it came full circle. And what a ride it has been for Maaneet and us viewers, depicting the rise and fall in their relationship. Do both of them remember that day in HP by the lake ?

Geet tries to remind him of their first meeting. But it has the opposite effect on Maan. He is reading her eyes though. But he pushes her away … declaring it a circus. Public humiliation number #…honestly, I've lost count.

Geet remembers Maan's words from yesterday, the time he dragged her out of KC….past humiliations. Geet has reached her limit. He'd come as a savior but now she wont lead her life per his rules. She is looking for equality.

Phew, finally they are showing some continuity…after a day's gap ! Meera takes Dev home….at least some continuation. Meera in a quandary as to why she did what she did… her values weakening. She not willing to forgive him for Geet. But when Geet finds out then what ? Will Geet be homeless again ?

Maaneet
----------
Maan with a drink in hand remembers last nights convo, him declaring no relationship between them…forcing himself to believe, but he needs to make such an effort. He'd put Geet on a pedestal from which she has now fallen in his eyes. Boy, oh boy, his ego/anger is feeding itself and has become a monstrosity.

Loved Geet's determination to go and talk to Maan and tell him that he is not the only one who's hurting. His actions have hurt her too. Did he call her to the farmhouse to humiliate her ? Adinki try to reason with her but Geet is firm.

Barry, loved the ensuing convo. Good job today !

Inspite of his preoccupation with revenge, he is still alert to the undercurrents between Arhaan and Geet. As u sow, so u reap…if u sow thorns, u reap thorns. I think that comment was equally directed towards Maan. So when he asks if anything's wrong, she says - Kuch nahin…nothing u care about, besides don't need ur help, can help myself., pain evident in her eyes. Were you able to register that in your brain Maan ?

But Maan is equally fickle…Again, ego rears its head to say she's not imp nor does she have any imp in my life.

And then he dances with Arhaana watching its effect on Geet. See it for yourself. Maan is playing with Geet's emotions today. He seems to be hitting a new low.

The low blow was when he lifted Arhaan a la Kurban Hua. There was no forgiving that Maan. Will u be able to face yourself tomorrow, Maan ? Will be interesting to see how.

Maan is remembering Kurban Hua but his ego refuses to let him step back and think. Well, I think u achieved your goal Maan. Geet is super hurt….r u happy now ? U achieved your goal.

Then why r u following her …to rub salt into her wounds ? Geet still tries to help him asking why u making a fool of urself , why r u doing something ur heart would not permit you to do ?

Geet confesses - Everything is wrong, what happened, whats happening.

Don't cut her off Maan

But Maan is too busy driving in the dagger….Now u know, ur problem is that I;m happy without u, letting someone else come nearer. But then he tries to get physical with her. That's a NO NO !

Tumhe farak padta hai na that im dancing with someone else, not coming near u. At first she shows her love, her gentleness when he pulls her close, she is affected… but when she sees the mad anger in him, she fights back. Maan is so blinded by his emotions that he just wants to see her hurt. Well I think you got what u wished for Maan.

U deserved the slap Maan. In ur blind rage, u forgot she was the love of ur live, u forgot she was a woman, u forgot she was pregnant. U deserved the slap ….to bring you out of your stupor. This is your wakeup call Maan. Let's see if you rise to it.

I appreciated the fact that today the CVs brought out the issue of physical abuse in this scene. The best way to counter it is to fight back, like Geet…not suffer in the shadows. That's what Geet has been since HP.

In a strong relationship, you must be confident enough to put you foot down when its wrong. Your partner would not love you any less for standing up to him. Therein lies the strength, to be able to lift each other up when things go wrong. If he/she does not look at it that way, then that is not relationship of love… its just an attraction which has worn off.

Eager to find out what happens tomorrow ….

Before my very short take let me first say that i have a LOT of fun reading ur comments, spams and caco's TSDs...

I have skimmed thru some analysis and read about MSK's demotion and that physical abuse is not tolerable. Damn right.

However, from the past episodes we already know MSk has behaved in an equally abominable manner. At that time we forgave him because he didn't know that she was pregnant. She was still a girl. Under normal and real circumstances MSK could have been charged for harassment and abuse coz no one in the real world would sympathise with him on grounds of love. Its because WE knew about his past, Geet's past and their feelings that we accepted all that.

Lets not forget that he is a man who has been jilted, and someone like MSK will never let that go easily, he will for a long time continue to be wary and skeptical.

(I know I am drifting… but in the diwali party's last scene he and Geet both looked like maharaja and rani, he has that kind of arrogance and persona)

So, this is actually not the butchering of MSK's character, this is his dark side out of control. We all have it. Some of us keep it under control and not let it grow to a certain extent that it overcomes us the way it overcame MSK. However, MSK has been shown as a person who willfully hates and that means he lets his dark side go loose. He used to (maybe still does) hate women and was always wary of their devious plans. Just think of the way he looks at NainTara. Although he doesn't think that his brother is an angel but Naintara, he has special hatred for her!

Yes, MSk loves Geet and the love is strong but it has not matured to the point that he has changed. The change has to come. He has just begun to like colours. He hasn't completely accepted them. So, dearies lets wait and see.

Personally I am a bit apprehensive about today's episodes, how will geet react and how will MSK. Geet shouldn't apologise or show any embarrassment and MSK should just Look, turn and walk and THINK!
