I absolutely loved this! Aside from the kiss and all which you described beautifully too, I think what stood out for me has to be they way you portrayed their love. It was almost heart-breaking. Especially loved this bit:

"Then we will die," he said.

"Then we will die," she repeated, entranced.

To be honest, I don't know why. But when I read it, I could, quite literally, feel the lines.

And the ending, it got a big fat grin on my face. 😆

You're a great writer, and it's hard to believe that this is your first go! Hoping to see more from you.
