these guys never do anything without a reason .. they showed the press reporters to show us an angle, of the lady asking geet how she could trust one brother when another did this to her ..
they showed it later in the episode, when maan was talking to dadi ...
it also shows, dont go by rumors... or aadha sach ...
geet will think of how blindly maan sided her .. and she will also think of his family ..
we dont even know if dev would go follow her ..
most importantly .. Nt apne bewakoofi main if she helps ??
