Ahhh...finally some semblance of logic returns. Thanks GHSP Writers! Today's episode was quite good...hopefully a sign that normalcy will return next week. That said...I have to admit that today's screenplay felt like a 180 degree U-turn from yesterday.
Third episode in a row where the episode started exactly where the last one ended. I love your new found fascination with episode continuity...hope it continues!
Here is a quick breakdown of what worked or did not for me:
Geet - Yash in the discotheque:
I did not like this whole sequence when it started yesterday...but if I leave that aside, today's Yash - Geet interaction was quite fun to watch. Even if it is not the popular opinion, I think adding JB is a good move. He is quite pleasant to watch but please skip the aerobics type dancing in the future!
Moving on...Geet realizes she does not have the taveez. And now the writers finally had Geet listen to her inner voice and wonder if all the signs were pointing to Maan being in the hospital...hallelujah!
Adi - Pinky at the KC Reception:
Thank you, thank you, thank you writers for finally showing Adi & Pinky wondering about Geet. Although...what they were doing in the office at what you later indicate as "adhi-raat" is a mystery. I am a fan of character consistency but does Pinky always HAVE TO have food in her hand...this time it was chips...at midnight...W*H? I did love that at least one of Geet's friends, Adi, thought about confronting Dev! This is what I have been asking for so many weeks now...some scenes in the screenplay showing the Geet-Adi-Pinky friendship!
Maan remembering Geet:
So Maan is drifting in and out of consciousness and all he can think of is Geet. I loved this scene...completely!
Dev - Naintara at KC:
I really like how the writers are consistent with Naintara's character sketch. She is a sociopath...only thinking of herself or her interests. Everything revolves around her. So showing her calling Dev in the middle of the night to sign POA papers was a perfect reflection of that. I also liked the twist of having Dev get distracted by the doctors call long enough to not sign the papers...at least for now.
Dev - Meera phone call:
Complete filler scene...but bearable. AS still cannot act...when will that change? I did like that the writers clarified what made Meera walk away from Dev. She only heard about Geet being pregnant during the office confrontation...so her immediate assumption was probably that Dev hid that truth from her.
Geet - Nurse:
Ahh...I loved this scene. The writers had Geet being her normal self while Maan is watching. Why did Maan not call Geet during this scene? When he took her name while she was at the disco, she felt it. So now...when it becomes convenient to the screenplay, the writers had Maan just watch and not call her name out...W*H? Did not like that at all.
Geet - Taveez - Meera:
Yep...the famed Taveez was front and center today. As she wanders around the hospital, Geet thinks about how to find Maan.
One of her first thoughts was: "Kyon aisa lag raha hain ki saare raaste un thak pahoonchne ke band ho chuke hain"...is this a hint that she will be stopped by NT and then leave before or after seeing Maan?
This was followed by "Jhis Maan sir ko mein jhanthi hoon woh mere baath sune bina, mere baare mein koi faisla nahin lenge. Woh kabhi aise taveez nahi lautayenge". Finally...Geet is slowing down and listening to what her hear knows about Maan. I loved how the writers had Geet find the taveez right where she was sitting with the kids while waiting for Yash. This is what character & scene continuity is all about. Well done.
Now, feeling deeply that something is wrong, Geet bumps in to Meera. I have to say that I liked how the writers did not have Meera ignore Geet's question about how Maan and her knew each other. She acknowledged the question and indicated she would explain later.
And...the episode closes with Geet knowing Maan was in an accident! 😊
Closing notes:
So...it is clear that whether Geet meets Maan or not, she will leave after that. The writers will most certainly have Naintara be the cause of that decision. This will then lead to Geet re-meeting Yash and the kids. Hmmm...not completely sold on it yet but interesting!
In parallel, Maan will gain full consciousness. He knows Geet was at the hospital...so he will not be angry and will just want to find her.
Next week is going to be good. 😃
