Guys. I went through a lot of topics in the forum today. Some were proud of Geet today and some thought that the story is going down the drain. Some felt what Geet did was correct while some felt that its a private matter between her and Maan about the pregnancy and shouldn't have been made it public. Maan should have known that Dev is the father but not Dev, etc, etc. Well I respect everyone's POV. And would like to write a few lines about what I thought about the episode today.
I think Gurmeet and Drashti being ill has been a blessing in disguise else I or rather we would not have witnessed such a killer episode. Pardon me for saying this but even without MSK today I enjoyed the episode and I'm waiting desperately for tomorrow to see Dev's reaction and how the story unfolds.
Geet- Hui Sabse Parayi is not just about the romance of Maan and Geet
Rather it's about a girl who knows and wants to fight for her rights. However, yes MSK is an integral part of the story but the story is about Geet and her life. Not Maan and his life.
Why do we always want Geet to be saved heroically by Maan and yet expect her to be independent and self sufficient? Is that why Maan loves geet? Think about it.
She has fought the odds in her life and can pretty much take care of herself. Right Maan saved her but why was she going to be killed in the first place? Because she stood for her rights against her own family. Then we appreciated her courage but not today, why??? Today again today she did the same thing? When her character was being maligned by Sasha she stood for what was right? This time against the whole world maybe. I don't think she is wrong here. Infact I loved the way she was brave. I loved the strength of the character. It was phenomenal
I think we are not being able to grasp the essence of the story GEET 'HSP here. Remember not every Geet finds an MSK in her life.
Think about all those girls who have been cheated like Geet in reality and what is expected of them. To keep quite. My heart goes out for them indeed cause we cannot even imagine the pain they go through and on top of that they are asked to keep quite just because they are girls, either by the society or probably some other pressure. I think Geet here is an inspiration to all of them. Guyz like Dev need to be brought out in public and be punished rightfully.
DEV. The less I speak about him the better. He deserves the harshest punishment possible'
Fine that he is changing but does that change back anything he did to Geet. See previous episodes to feel Geet's pain and the sufferings she had to go through because of him. He needs to be punished as an example to others who even try to play with the lives of the innocents. Being the kind of coward that he is I'm waiting to see how his character unfolds tomorrow, but yes I think it serves him right. I think the best punishment for him to know along with the entire world that the kid is a result of what he did to Geet but still Geet telling him on his face that he is not the father for that reason. He should not even be allowed to touch the child ever. The child is just Geet and Maan's (Since he has accepted the child with all the responsibilities)
Love: One of the qualities that you look in love is mutual understanding and respect for your partner.
Yes respect plays such a great role in two people staying together for life. And Geet has that respect for Maan. Simultaneously Maan has that respect for Geet. So don't even think that even tough Dev repents Geet will forgive him that easily and will think him to be a hero if he accepts his wrong doings tomorrow. Indeed not because he has lost all the respect and will lose it further in public, if he accepts his mistakes. And remember respect once lost cannot be gained easily.
Public declaration and confrontation:
I feel that the truth can never be hidden from the world for a long time. How much ever you try to hide it, it comes out in the open. We all want Dev to be punished, imagine now that he is being punished and indeed this is not something that can be hidden either. What will the Khuranas tell the world? Why is Dev being punished? At least the public declaration gives me hope that Dev will be punished for better.
Our MSK: Indeed he an integral part of the story and Geet's life. He makes a lot of difference to the story but why do we love MSK as a character?
Just because he is hot' I guess no' Then just because he is with Geet whenever she needs him' just because he has accepted Geet the way she is' just because he is giving Geet's child his name' Indeed yes but along with that I also love his character more for his no nonsense attitude. For him truth and honesty is everything. He does not give a damn to the world about what they think' He knows what is right and wrong and follows his heart' I think he'll be proud because he always wanted Geet to not care about the world and stand up for herself which she did today.
Some think that there are no twists left and the story might either take a leap or Geet might end.
Excuse me. What?? Are you crazy? There is so much left in the story to be developed. Geet as Mrs. Khurana, birth of the child (which I hope happens), Maan's past with Sameera, Maan's family(his mother, father) etc, his tiff with NT I think there is something fishy as to why he is so angry at even the sight of hers, finding Vicky, Dadi's reaction to the whole Dev-Geet issue, etc, etc. All I want to say is that have faith in the CVs and the team. They never have and never will disappoint us. At least I feel so.
For today, hats off to the team for such an awesome episode. Standing ovation to Drashti for enacting it so perfectly. Drashti once again I say you are an amazingly talented actress and you deserve all the appreciation of playing Geet the way you do. No one, I imagine could have done it better.
Sorry for the long post. But just wanted to put forth my point of view. No offences to anyone. Do read it at your convinient time and let me know your comments. Press like if you do 😊
