A secret choking her within her chest, hands of honour; of family name; of pride; of social prejudices tightening around her love for Maan, around her motherhood for her unborn baby. To speak words so powerful they could break her untitled relationship within seconds. To the world, they were fiancees, engaged to be married...yet in reality, what was she to him? A secretary? A friend? Who knew...
The air changed again... or maybe it was her own feelings which had stirred something different within her. Something which relaxed her... his presence...
She felt his lips kiss her intensely on the top of her head and she immediately closed her eyes. Whilst thinking about his touch, shivers ran down her spine....and subsequently she was put into her own dilemma, a battle of all her thoughts running haywire through her mind..
I need to confess my truth to him....but which truth? Confess my love?.. Confess my past?!
She felt his hands holding her arms, softly turning her towards him. She exhaled slowly....praying softly, please...please make this easy for me to say...please make it easy for him to hear. Maan had taught her on numerous occasions not to run away, not to turn away from the situations which scared her most. If she were true....she would not lose the fight she had started against the world for her freedom and integrity, if what Maan said had been the truth, she would not be defeated but instead she would come out stronger than ever. This was it....
She opened her tearful eyes slowly, her eyesight blurred for just a moment...and then she saw his face...
