For those of you online here is my analysis. It can be found on page 2 as well. Read and tell me what you think. Now I will stalk the den as I study and will try not to reply to anything that tempts me. 😆
"Yeh ishq nahin aasaan bas itna samaj lijiye, eik aag ka dariyaa hai aur doob ke jaana hai" - Ali Sikandar
CV's thank you for an awesome episode. No matter what others might have to say about it, you guys did a remarkable job! You kept character consistency (which I love the most) and you did things logically. Gurmeet and Drashti you guys have proven once again that you are great actors. Gurmeet you have out done yourself today. Drashti you acting really made me feel Geet's pain.
I'm not in a very analytical mood today, so bear with me if I seem a bit off. But I am in the mood to praise.
So did you all notice Maan putting all the pieces together about Geet's past? He began connecting the dots right away. He even realizes that they tried to kill her because of that. One thing though, why was Maan having flash back of Geet's imaginations? Like when she where's that green dress and see's him in the mirror. That was her thinking, but you guys put it in his flashbacks. Just mentioning so you guys can have perfection next time. When Maan is holding on top Geet's hand and a tear drop falls on her engagement ring, it symbolized the momentary sorrow they will have to endure in their relationship. But the tear drop just fell and went past the ring, so will the sorrow.
CV's, good job! On keeping Maan's character consistent. Anyone who expected him to just say "okay Geet I love you and I want to be your baby daddy" at that moment, think realistically. Maan reacted exactly the way a normal person would act in a situation like that. Maan has always supported Geet and he always will. Give him time and be patient. Also remember he is angrier at himself then Geet. Why? Because he feels that he couldn't gain enough trust from her and that is why she never told him about the pregnancy a long time ago. Another thing, Geet said it herself in the epi, no matter when he found out the truth he would have still reacted this way. She knows him better than us. At least trust her judgment. 😉
To all Maan bashers: Maan walking away from Geet was completely justified. His reaction was expected. His anger kept his character consistent. I couldn't believe the things that were being written about Maan. There were things written along the line of him being like Dev and insulting him. WTH?! How can anyone ever compare Maan to Dev? Have you guys seriously forgotten all the things Maan has done or the kind of man he is? Maan is the most logical and reasonable character. For him to just accept Geet without any hesitation is out of his character. Stop putting him on a pedestal like he's some sort of god. He's human, who has the right to think it over and digest all this. I think his reaction is completely justified, since he opened his heart after a long time to only get such a big blow. He was so happy and thought she would say that she loves him, but she gives him something totally different, something that tore his heart out. He was expecting "ILU" not "I'm pregnant". Did you all expect him to jump with joy? If you guys haven't noticed the way Maan vents and contemplates, is by himself. He always thinks everything over on his own before taking a step. He will do the same here. His real reaction will be when he hears the whole story. Let him think. Be realistic. Just relax and watch what he will do. He's going to accept Geet, there is no doubt!
I loved Geet's determination today. What a logical way to handle it. Thank you again Cv's for not making her run from all this and attempt to gain her happiness. I am very glad that she is determined to tell Maan and still try to fight her own destiny to keep him in her life. Today you have shown the real strength in Geet. Now she will fight for herself, by herself. Before Maan was at her side, but now he is the one she is fighting for, so obviously he's not going to be there. So those of you who complained about Geet always needing Maan's support and wanting her to fight on her own, are you happy now? Please say yes, because Geet was truly an inspiration today. Most girls like her would have lost all hope, but she wants to keep going. At first she succumbs to the floor in agony and asks god why he has taken away her happiness. But just like a phoenix rises from the ashes, she stands up again and prepares to fight for herself. The line that really touched me is "Kyun main sapne nahin dekh sakti, kyun babaji". Barry Dhillon, you have given Geet great dialogues today. Geet also understands that Maan will accept her when he knows the entire truth. How do I know this? From her dialogue, "Adhi adhuri baato se unhe takleef ki elava aur kuch nahin hoga.". She subconsciously knows he will understand when he knows everything.
Now let's talk about Maan's little cliff top display. First of all, this was a better way to show his emotions then just him doing some tai chi. It was a PERFECT exemplification of his emotions. I get why someone would just want to scream when they go through something like that. Heck! I want to scream when I go through things that are much less meaningful. I'm so glad he didn't go off crying. This was much more suitable for his character. The camera angle during the cliff scene was excellent. A Big thumbs up for Mr. Hawk Eye. And can I say Gurmeet was looking very handsome and dashing?! Because, he certainly was. It erased the memory of Dev's awkward flaunting act from Friday's epi. Just so I'm clear I'd take Gurmeet's bare torso any day over Dev's. Gurmeet has a much better body than him. Let's also not forget his superb acting skills. Today I was completely awed by him. He made me fall in love with Maan all over again. I love the way Gurmeet portrays Maan. No one can do it better than him. Then there were his martial arts with the wood thing. I'm glad you guys have come up with new ways of showing him working out. The tai chi was getting stale. I love angry Maan as much as sweet and romantic Maan. So I don't mind seeing him like this. Plus Gurmeet can do such an awesome job that it's a pleasure to watch him.
Another good thing about today's epi was that there was no half naked Dev. What's up with him trying to wear sun glasses indoors? He looked like a thug with his leather jacket, combat boots and sunglasses. He was back with his pathetic "bro ko main sachai bata ki hi rahonga." He is not telling his bro anything. The truth should come out in a better way and definitely not on Dev's terms. We are also expecting a big fat smack in the face from both Maan and Geet when the truth comes out. I hope that's clear.
The costume designer has dressed Maan and Geet in my favorite color today: blue!! They both looked very nice in the color.
The office scene was terrific! Angry Maan is a delight to watch. That was the man that we fell in love with in the beginning wasn't it? So we can wait it out for the Maan that's madly in love with Geet to make his appearance again. When Geet was about to fall in his cabin did you all notice how she only took his hand away when she stood upright? The twinge of care and protectiveness he has for hidden in that. He allowed her to hold to him for support. He didn't grab her this time because he was angry, but he didn't let her fall either.
Cv's if the rumors about Abhinav asking for the track to become a love triangle are true, than please don't do this. He must understand that the actors run on the demand of the story not the other way around. If he wants screen time then give it to him as Dev the villain not Dev the guilt conscious hero. Maan is the only hero in Geet's life and that is how it should be. Please do not ruin the storyline because of the actors' demands. If the problem persists then the actor can be changed and we will accept it. But Dev the character needs to stay in the story as negative. Dev is essential to the story, not Abhinav. The one that you cannot afford to ever change is Gurmeet. Gurmeet is by all means a great actor and has good looks. He has mind blowing chemistry with Drahsti, and Abhinav was not able to garner the same response with the audience that Gurmeet has. So even if there is a love triangle, the audience will not accept it. Drashti and Gurmeet's chemistry is nothing like what I have seen on Indian television. It is THE best! No one else can match it.
Precap – All you miscarriage preachers, you can think again about Geet having a miscarriage because of that fall. She will not have one! Do you all seriously think the Cv's will ever let Maan be the reason behind her miscarriage, if they are even thinking of one?(which they are not.) They're not dense; they know what they're doing. I'm not going to bother writing anything on my pro-baby stance, because for some it is completely useless to explain. The pre-cap is misleading so don't be fooled. Just get ready for something else tomorrow.
Lastly I would like to request the CV's to do a song sequence on "Sajde kiye hai lakho", from the movie Khatta Meetha when Maan finally accepts Geet and they are back on love mode. I love the song and I think the lyrics will be apt for that scenario. So please if it is possible does the song sequence.
Over all it was a super duper, mind blowing episode: 10/10. You should be happy, since I seldom think any epi is a 10/10. The highest I would rate any epi is a 9. The entire Geet team has done their best today. From costume designer to camera man, to director to actor, they all have done a fabulous job. A big hug from me to the Geet team.
