For me the Ring Ceremony was a hint of the Future Track…….

Maan already adorned the ring on Geet's Finger once which means with out knowing anything about her past he has accepted her….his love has made him do this…..and it was God…Nature and the elements like star studded sky, moon and shooting star that witnessed this Unison…..Which showed that their bond is sacred and Pure…..

The Ring going away from Geet's and passing around and that too in just hours after it was placed on her finger symbolized that the first Ring ceremony is short lived…it is subjected to befall soon…..and well when Geet's past is revealed that's what is going to happen there will be misunderstandings….problems and confusions…..

The ring landing next to Maan after it fell followed by him picking it up and immediately looking at Geet and then leaving showed that misunderstanding will creep into their relationship…..and Maan will be aghast the moment he learns the truth about her past….and he will leave her……another thing is that ring supposed to be the Khandhani Angooti right and its given to the Badi Bahu of the house…..well the ring has already found its mistress in Geet and every time the Ring comes to Maan he will be only reminded of her…..

Geet following Maan immediately shows that she will try to make him understand and will not just dessert him and leave him to fight with his emotions and feelings all alone…..

Maan questioning Geet and the whole sequence there after, where Maan tries to ignore Geet's questions first by taking a file and then his phone shows that when even after Geet tries to reason with him….he will ignore her but she wont give up easily…..Maan taunting her using the Boss Secretary dialogues leaving Geet hurt shows that Maan's words and actions will hurt Geet and she will turn away….But in just seconds he calls out her name and says the whole friendship/dosti and HUM dialogue…..Leaving Geet dazed and totally happy…..which shows that once Maan learns the whole truth he wont waste even one second and there after it wont be a you or me but a HUM…..Geet repeating the word HUM in the dazed expression shows that she was always longing for this "HUM"….for them to be together……

Maan Placing the ring on her again shows that ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL…..MAANEET are destined to be together and that's what will happen….Maan and Geet will once again be knotted in the bond of pure love and this time for eternity….Mr. and Mrs. Demello along with Adi and Saasha who is shown as witness to this shows that MAANEET when chooses to tie the knot for eternity it will be witnessed by all…those who are in love(Demello's)….those who are their well wishers(Adi)….and those who envy them(Saasha)…..

Usually when Maan and Geet fight or argue even if its for no reason but there used to be a base/a foundation to it even if almost all their quarrels were totally unreasonable and for the smallest things'.But today there were none'..there was no Base''

I find this symbolic coz Maan with his words and actions have closed on every inch of gap/Dooriyaan that may come by their way there by protecting their love and his Geet from being alone/lonely'..Geet is finding it hard to keep up with his pace one because she is still looking for an affirmation from his side and two even before he affirms it she has a past to reveal'..and so she is deliberately trying to inch in a distance between them'..but Maan has sealed it off so well that she simply had to put up an argue that he need not worry as she knows that he is worried about the ring and the ring is the reason Maan is offering Geet a ride to the Office'..Do you really think she felt that what she said'I don't think so'.she was trying to find out (Get the affirmation)'..by asking "Kis Hasiyath se aap Mujhe Aapke saath Office Chalne ke liye keh rahe hain"

Nags, I didn't get an email link of your post today. And Vrush, didn't get PM for your scene which you mentioned yest :( . So used to gettin the links in my inbox :) and reading them directly.

Pyaar ke maayne is all 'big n small' things they have been doing for each other but 'thou shalt not say it' is on their lips. The status difference, people around doesn't really matter now but we have question marks everywhere.

Aur kyun na ho! the kashmakash is bound to happen as the two have had a past. Not long back was when Maan tried to get an inkling of Geet's feelings and Geet stopped him. His heart and mind is so overwhelmed to have a 'Nay' from her yet again. Uncertainity is bound to loom in relations where there's discomfort. Discomfort conceived by some hideous past of which these two are completely oblivious. Afraid to tread in a relationship again and step in each other's personal life. Today there are at crossroads again after all of this meandering journey trying to figure out their feelings. Life's been unfair and unjust to both of them. Trust once broken is not easy as pie to rebuild. These two need a push now n then from others to reveal what they feel.

The ring traveling from one head to another and back to Maan after falling might be indicative of the fact that they would have upheavels lined up but it would be Maan who would put it back to its respective place.
