5 reasons why I love the show Geet
Dedicated to all those who think I hate the show. Actually I don't. Just want the lazy scriptwriters to get moving and make it even more tempting to watch. PS: I wish they would do one hour specials one Saturday a month like other shows do.. would be awesome. And this post is dedicated to NRasheed.. who championed my POV even as I was getting booed off the forum. Thanks buddy. And to Bulbul who I think will become a buddy.
1) 😊 Mann. Really who ever created and cast this character was a genius. A man who encourages a woman to be her own person (Amazing scene when he tells Geet in the jungle go and fight for your right.. call the cops on your brother who was trying to kill you…) Am waiting to find out how they will treat the scene when Mann find out what Dev did. That's why I want the story to move ahead—Just to see how they will make Mann react.
2) 😊 No wimpy lead heroine who cannot take a step ahead without a guy backing her. So Geet makes blunders/mistakes, but hey she at least wants to do her own thing. Again, amazing scene when she takes the sword and goes home and tells her family she will never see them again.. By the way in case I did not mention, the girl who plays Geet is very, very good.
3) 😊 A lead hero who encourages the woman to think for herself and stands up for her…every time (one of my favourite scenes when Mann tells Geet no matter differences we have, I will never let anyone insult you right after he throws that Rasika chick out)
4) 😊 No wicked Saas or Mother inlaw in 10 kg outfits with 20 kg of jewellery lurking about. Dadi in small doses is nice specially when she teases Mann.
5) 😊 Finally a wicked villain who is not Komalika or whatever. Nayantara is evil and she is the kind that send shivers… the actress is good. And her motivations are clear. Her character makes sense in a negative way.
What about you guys???/ Aside from "dreamy" Gurmeet what do u like about the show??
PS: Will be back tomorrow with 5 ways the show can made even better… and yes I will say scathing things… So do sharpen knives for the next post…
