Geet Handa: lead protagonist, 18 year old, beautiful, intelligent, married, pregnant, in love hopelessly with her boss' currently in denial mode ( not for too long though) 'sweet, chulbuli and gutsy punjaban!!
Maan Singh Khurana : super hot, sexy, intense, also intelligent, dejected in love, signs of a troublesome past, reticent, self made man, who cant get why he is love with his crazy Secretary who is exactly his opposite ..!!! city bred business tycoon ' I forgot to add'
Now these are things we already know .. what just occurred to me though, is about how though these two, hailing from different back grounds and walks of life ' have one thing in common '
Their hatred for the opposite sex! And the way they deal with the same '
Maan is bitter about the fact that women have always let him down, they are no capable of handling themselves or taking decisions on their own' He knows only one way of dealing with them' orders, coldness and domination. He doesn't want anything about them to effect him or his life and he has had it that way 'one can even say he had managed this successfully as well.. he had learnt to love and respect only one woman in his life ' his grand mother .. and then came another person, he had never imagined ' Geet .. a total opposite of his grand mother, appearance wise, character wise as well! But the way she dealt with her life, the way she kept him at bay ' while he knew, he hated women but was still drawn to her .. she went a step ahead and actually asked him to get out of her life .. in a very vulnerable, don't do this to me way 'and he was drawn to her even more ' hadn't he hated women before this? And had branded them all alike? Then why was she so different '. Why did she matter so much ? though he didn't like it before ' he now enjoyed loving her, protecting her .. taking care of her .. and he felt responsible for her ' she had erased all the bad memories he had held of all the other women who had betrayed him during his earlier life '
On the other hand Geet Handa, had never known, when Maan had saved her life once, that, he was that god sent angel, who would do so for the rest of her life ' She didn't particularly think anything of him' cos, she had other things on her mind.. she was to get married, start her own new life.. and then'everything that she had thought was hers was snatched away from her .. overnight' her husband abandoned her, her family blamed her and her own brother wanted her dead in the name of family honor' after being betrayed so bad, she had no reason to trust another man' her own father, instead of protecting her, had asked her to run away from home.. the image she had formed of men, was always a let down' and then she meet Maan again, this time as Maan Singh Khurana 'when she became his secretary, she obviously, had seen so much in life within such a short span, the last thing on her mind was love 'which is why it perhaps never occurred to her that, the reason why she growing so dependant as well as drawn to her boss was perhaps she had started to like him .. but the moment she did .. it was not the fact that she was disillusioned by men, but the fact that he was so different from the rest of the tribe she had encountered that made her walk away from him' for his sake .. for his happiness'
And hence the two of them are tied together by fate '! Both of them have tried the same fundas in the past to run away from their feelings for one another ' first denial, then avoidance, then self acceptance, pain, anger, helplessness around the other .. and then finally, today they are at a stage where both of them know what they feel for one another ' and have once more perhaps left it to fate .. they perhaps don't even want to give a name to their relationship' no fake fianc, no boss-secy.. no friendship.. their relationship is above all '. Maaneet are hence meant to be '
