There aren't really any rules to the game. Just read the demo and you'll understand the concept:

"Unfortunately I fell down a cliff"
Next Post...
"Fortunately you land safely"
Next Post...
"Unfortunately both your legs are broken"
Next Post...

Fortunately, your dad's a Docter

and so on...

So basically, all you have to do is post a fortunate/ unfortunate event following the fortunate/ unfortunate event that just took place.
