Ok...here is Aakriti's Analysis from my thread...I loved it...check it out...
Aakriti Lath @Doodle... Amazing analysis as always...sab kuch keh diya...but still here's my take which basically syncs with yours... :)
First of all....I would like to give my heartiest congratulations to the entire GEET team for completing 100 episodes so successfully...and to all the fans who have supported this wonderful series right from the beginning... GEET's team - You all are extremely talented and maybe this is the reason why, as fans, we have such high expectations from you lot because we know that you understand your viewers in most situations and implement the changes required to make GEET all the more appealing... So keep up the hard work and give us many more centuries of flawless episodes with utter creativity, realistic storyline and intelligent depictions to keep THE MAANEET MANIA high up in the sky...
Let's come down to the episode... so where should I start...
Firstly, the beginning of the episode was good. Even though Pari was being her usual idiotic self, Maan kept his character... he clenched his teeth when Pari says ki mujhe aap chahiye in true MSK style....so that was a smart move by the CVs...to prove to those viewers who think that Maan's characterization is getting worse with time, that it NOT the case...His personality remains intact... When Geet came in, he changed his grin to being all cozy with Pari...it did indeed work in Maan's favour to add water and fertilisers to those freshly germinated seeds of jealousy...so I was mostly happy with the whole visualisation..
Maan and Geet's conversation after Pari leaves was much better than I expected... Gurmeet's diction has improved as Doodle pointed out...his wispering skills do really stir the air around Maaneet...they make the scene so much more intense, passionate and eye-pleasing...I loved the way Maan says, "aisi ladkiyaan nahi jo apna ek kadam aage badhane ke bajaye....do kadam peeche le leti hai..." and then Geet looks down at her feet... Superb Nissar ji... this shows Geet understood that Maan was referring to her and she immediately stops...now that was a very cleverly depicted move to prove the communication between the two birds... kuddos! I completely agree with Doodle here though that the Saxophone music should have continued instead of the MAHII...
Doodle's analysis of the Parineeta Metaphor...needs no further elaboration by any one of us...It is bulls eye! All I can say is Nissar ji..it is really impressive that you understand the vachans of Holy Matrimony of Souls and depict them so convincingly to your audiences through your direction capabilities... The way Geet held Maan's hand and took him away from the dance floor was truly just....wowwww......It was one of the best moments of the entire series... It appeared as though SHE WAS ALREADY HIS WIFE...she exercised her authority on Maan in true sense today... ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!
Now, should we talk about some ISSUES clearly present in yesterday's epi...
I, on the contrary, always expected the episode to be usual 25 mins...it wasn't until 2 hours before it was going to be aired that I came across people saying IT IS GOING TO BE A ONE HOUR SPECIAL....lots of speculations were formed yesterday...which got the viewers excited and overjoyed...so it must have been disappointing to not see what they expected even though the rumors were clarified before 9.30 p.m IST...
However, if it was going to be a one hour epi..in reality...as Doodle pointed out...and was editted to fit the time frame of 25 mins...then I will support Doodle here and say... START MONDAY'S EPISODE WITH THE UNCUT VERSION OF THE DANCE SEQUENCE...THE FANS WOULDN'T MIND I AM SURE...AND THE CONTINUITY WHICH WAS MISSING IN TODAY'S EPISODE TO GREAT DEPTHS WILL BE BACK IN ACTION...AS YOU KNOW VERY WELL HOW MUCH DOODLE AND I LOVE CONTINUATION....!
There was a point in the episode which striked me the most...yess even more than the breath-taking hug at the end - it was when Gurmeet says MSK jo thaan leta hai woh karke rehta hai...something along the lines... he was very well out of his character...It was more Gurmeet himself than Maan which shouldn't have been the case...However, The DANCE was perfect on his part, i.e- he did not add all the strength in his movements that he could have as we all know he is a FANTASTIC DANCER! So good on you Nissar ji...for maintaining MSK here...see i don't seem to understand the breaks in MAKING SURE GURMEET STAYS AS MAAN...AT ALL TIMES IN THIS DISC SCENE....fail to register the reasons why you let it go under the radar... maybe you can think about it too...and make sure it doesn't happen in future...
GEET GOING UNDER THE TABLE TO HIDE...umm CVs...I am sure you knew they were in a night club...Geet making a fool of herself by going under the table and no seems to be paying attention to what she does...and then suddenly when Maan catches Geet's fingers... the entire night-club is looking at the three of them.. MAJOR BLOOPER...could have been sketched in a better way..
Another ISSUE...once Maan held Geet's hand while dancing with Pari..IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN IMMEDIATE MAANEET MOMENT...i was also upset about your decision to give Pari another minute to finish her moves... not a wise thought CVs and Nissar ji...but I must mention I did not struggle to see him holding Geet's hand... it came to me instantly and stayed there...plus the way Maan's cold attitude around Pari changed to intense passion around Geet on the dance floor...was SPLENDID for me...
DEVTARA - NOTHING TO SAY since there wasn't really much about them in yesterday's epi...they are indeed "CONFUSED SELFISH-SOULS"... wonder when their doom day will come!
Apart from these...issues...the Episode was fantastic for me... i loved all the Maaneet moments because of GURU-DHRASH's chemistry...and i am sure you will take our views on board to make Monday more special and fulfilling if possible... I would appreciate to see the original sequence more than the one we saw yesterday... :)
Precap - Doodle has said it all...! She leaves very little for us to say much about!
Overall... 8/10... :) I am sure there will be episodes soon which will compel us to give a minimum of 9/10! Rightt....Nissar ji..??? I hope so at least!
