Yep, I'm here for the last four months. Just love this show and the jodi. In fact Maaneet are winning over Michi in my favourite list. This is not a full fledged fanfic, just a take off from Geet trying to find a bride for Maan. From then on my story is charting its own course. Don't know where and how I'll take this one because I did not start with any clear plan. I guess I'll go as my whims take me. You are welcome to join my madness.

"What did you say his name was?" he asked, in a voice which was barely audible, hoping that he had misheard the name.

"Dev Khurana," she repeated, this time more loudly, her voice betraying the utter disgust she held for the man who destroyed her life and was responsible for her isolation from her family. It suddenly struck her that Maan shared his surname with that rogue. 'Could he be related to him?' she wondered and pushed back the thought.

'How can that crook be related to such an upright man? No, he cannot be,' she told herself.

To Maan she said, "Well, that is the name he gave us. I do not know whether it was his real name though. I could not trace him with that name at the Canadian Embassy, not that the officials there were very co-operative in any case. Since he is fraud he could have been using a pseudonym in order to escape being caught."

'So that was what she was doing at the Embassy - trying to find him,' he thought recollecting their bumping into each other at the Canadian Embassy at Delhi.

Maan could not believe that his brother would do such a shameful thing. She may be right - the guy could have been using a pseudonym which coincidentally, was his brother's name. Maan decided to press on with his questioning to ascertain whether this was the case.

"What was his wife's name?" he asked, hoping that it would not be.....'Before he could complete the thought, she uttered her name, "Naintara."

Hearing this, his hope that it was not his brother receded, but he still continued with his questioning because he wanted to be absolutely sure before he acts on this information.

"What was his mother's name?"

"Pammi. And his sister's name was Kaamya. Why are you asking all these questions?" she asked back.

Maan's last hope that it was not his family which was responsible for Geet's plight was dashed when he heard the names she gave. Seeing his face fall on hearing her response she was now fearful that he did know the man who deceived her.

"Do you know him?" she asked apprehensively.

At that precise moment the phone rang. It was Adi on the line.

"Sir, Mr.Chopra is here. You had scheduled a meeting with him to discuss the alterations he had wanted in the floor plan."

"Oh, yes. Escort him to the conference room and ask Sasha to join me there. I want you to also remain there with us to work out the revised costs."

"Yes, Sir."

Replacing the receiver back, Maan turned to Geet and said, "Geet, We'll talk about this later. Mr.Chopra wants some alterations. I want you with me while he discusses them so that you could provide some valuable input, as you always do."

Although Geet was eager to hear Maan's response to her query, she also knew that their duty beckoned them. She nodded her head and quickly taking out her pad and pen, she accompanied him out of his cabin.
