Maan at Geet's home
Maan was astounded with what Geet had just told him. She had come to know what he felt for her! She said that she did not want him loving her! Oh god, ye larki mujhe pagal kar degi, he thought as he sat in his car after he was unceremoniously told to leave her alone.
She had told Aapke jhoote sahare ki jaroorat nahi. Ha! That's all she knew about him. Woh itna hi samajh payee mujhe, he wondered as he started the car. He went home with a heavy heart. He was in love with Geet. He had worn his heart on his sleeve for one woman and she told him it was all a lie?
Okay Maan Singh Khurana, he told himself. Ab aap uss larki ke baare mein na sochenge, na usse wapis lene jaayenge, he resolved. He knew he will not sleep so he decided to get in his workout session. Maan changed into his track pant (that is what I am calling it) and started his martial arts routine, with every whip of his hand through the air, an image of Geet danced before his eyes. With every change in the stance, he felt her with him, around him, in him. He had come to the point where he thought he was getting delusional. Cursing himself and his tumultuous thoughts, he went to the corner where he keeps a bottle of water and poured it over his face and head to calm himself and to rid of Geet's image from his head.
Geet had been enduring a similar night to Maan's, of the things that had transpired between maan and her and how it hurt to have him come to dig the knife deeper in her wounded soul. Maan did not love her, why would he love her, he was Dhust Danav, why would he care about me, Geet. He was a robot with no feelings, woh kya meri madad karenge, she muttered. Naukri chorke mat jao bhi nahi kaha, ek baar bhi nahi kaha. First the job, then the people around Pinky's home, everyone will now start talking about her and her being an unwed mother. The prospect put her through an emotional wringer where she did not know what to do next. She looked up with tear streaked face and asked babaji, ab mein kya karoon, koi rah to dikhao?
The next day, she got a visit from Savitri Devi, the client who had been her sounding board and on whose advise she had gone back to apologize to maan, But Maan Dusht Danav had walked away and told Mr Chopra she was not important. Now she was jobless and if she knew best, she should leave Pinky's home because she did not want Pinky and her father bear the brunt of her condition and circumstances.
Maan went to the office the next day in no better state of mind than last night. He keeping mooning around the office like a love sick puppy seeing Geet everywhere. His ego and his heart were at war. The more he tried to immerse himself in his work, more she intruded in his thoughts. He went off to a place where he could find some peace, he took his jeep, his tent and a supplies for camping and headed to his favorite lake to get away from Geet and her thoughts. Even office did not offer him the solace he needed. In fact, it drove him even more crazy than he thought. He did not know there was this hole in heart which could only be filled by Geet.
As he pitched his tent, lit the lamp, got his bedding set up, he felt a small reprieve as his mind became empty and he found the soothing waves washing ashore give his heart much needed balm that calmed him and he fell asleep.
He woke up with a start early in the morning. The lamp had burnt itself out, the sun had just started to peek beyond the hills, the cool breeze brushed his face with a softness that reminded him of'.GEET!!!
He got up with a start and put his hands in his head and realized he was never going to be rid of Geet from his mind. Now with the dawn came new thoughts, new longings, new pain that revolved around Geet. Maan lost the solitude he had temporarily found last night. The jeep reminded him of Geet. The lake made him recall the day he had saved Geet from another one and a certain death. Shiver ran down his spine at something happening to Geet. He knew she always found more trouble waiting for her the minute he was out her periphery. With that thought he rushed back to the city and to her place.
Pinky's father informed him that she had been offered a place to stay and work with a lady and Geet no longer lived with him. Maan aghast at the development and tried to find where she had gone, but Pink's father told him that he had hurt her badly and did not want to hurt her further by giving her address to him. Maan, closed his eyes to hide the pain on knowing that he was responsible for Geet leaving the house and being jobless and now he did not know where to find her.
Then shaking himself out of his foolish thought with a reprimand to himself that it is good, slowly he will forget Geet and she will stop haunting him.
He left Geet's place and went home. He parked his jeep outside the outhouse and jumped out and strode with purposeful steps into the house. The housekeeper was there and tried to stop him to tell him but Maan was in no mood to hear anyone and walked into his room, removing his shirt on the way and tossing it on the desser as he walked by his bed on his way to the bathroom to find, GEET, he stopped midstride and gingerly walked towards the bed and then derided himself, Sab jagah tumhein Geet nazar aati hai, but could not stop himself from sitting at the edge of the bed near her legs on the opposite side and kept on staring at her lovingly. He looked at her sleeping peacefully and inched closer to her face to see her in all her beauty, that was enthralling and pulled at his heart strings. He saw how bow lips were upturned in a sweet smile and errant hair flying across her face covering it and tickling it. He could not stop himself when his itching fingers went to caress the strand of hair that had flown in the soft breeze of fan on to her face. He touched her lightly, she felt so real, he wondered, pushing the strand away. Geet, his heart whispered, where are you? Just then he felt her stir under his fingers and he caressed her hair lightly as he felt the strand must have tickled her in her sleep and he wanted her to sleep more because he wanted to drink to fill this form that disturbed him when awake. Just then, Geet woke up with a start.
Maan jumped back on the bed, Tum!
Geet said in unison, Tum!
Tum yahan again both said together. Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho? He asked. She said Savitri Devi ne mujhe ye ghar diya hai aur mein unke liye kaam karti hoon. Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho!
Woh meri daadi hai aur..tum mere bed mein ho!
Hole Hearted - Extreme
Priorities confuse the mind
Happiness one step behind
This inner peace I've yet to find
Rivers flow into the sea
Yet even the sea is not so full of me
If I'm not blind why can't I see
That a circle can't fit
Where a square should be
There's a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
And this hole in my heart
Can't be filled with the things I do
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
This heart of stone is where I hide
These feet of clay kept warm inside
Day by day less satisfied
Not fade away before I die
Rivers flow into the sea
Yet even the sea is not so full of me
If I'm not blind why can't I see
That a circle can't fit
Where a square should be
There's a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
And this hole in my heart
Can't be filled with the things I do
There's a hole in my heart
That can only be filled by you
Should have known from the start
I'd fall short with the things I do
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
Hole hearted
