28 June 2010-2nd July 2010 TRP:Geet Takes No.2 Position

According to 28 June 2010 to 2nd July 2010 TRP chart Geet has taken No.2 position on Star One last week. I know you all will be disheartened that Geet slipped at second position from first but we have a reason to celebrate. The TRP of Geet from 21st June 2010 to 25th June 2010 was 0.6 but there has been rise of 0.1 now Geet was at No.2 position last week with an average TRP of 0.7

I know 0.1 rise is not a huge difference but still the TRP increased is a big achievement for us as well as Geet cast and crew.

The TRP of repeat which airs at 1.30 pm the next day had an average TRP of 0.4 along with Dill Mill Gayye Laughter Challenge which gained 0.4 TRP as well for last week thus sharing No.3 position with them.

Below is the TRP of top 5 shows on Star One from 28th June 2010 to 2nd July 2010.

India's Magic Star - 0.8
Geet - 0.7
DMG - 0.4
Geet (Repeat) - 0.4
Laughter Challenge - 0.4

Ya I was expecting Geet to b no.2 last week because magic show comes on weekend when competition is less and obviously people had that curiosity to watch first ever magic based reality show😛...

but Shruti I m a bit confused here..u said last week there is 0.1% rise and its 0.7 now😃 ...but in that list of top 5 shows...u hv written 0.6 there...so is it 0.7 or 0.6 last week ?😳

chalo lastly I m happy to see Geet right up there despite so much competition in that 9.30pm slot..👏

Jyoti:Agree the competition at weekend is less hence channels are coming up with special episodes during weekends with various twist or new shows to maintain their positions during weekend slot.

I corrected that. The TRP was 0.6 during Kurbaan song sequence week and last week it was 0.7 :)

Star Plus shows have rating like 4 pointers... and Geet is just 0.7 ..

@Shruti:Oh wow so its 0.7🥳 thats grt news then👏...its slowly increasing😳...and last weekend they aired that hum tum song promo during the magic show..so mayb this week trps might increase further...**fingers crossed**😛...I really hope it touches that 1 mark now...😳

Well we can never expect star one shows getting to that 4 or 5 mark simply because the channel has not got a huge net reach like star plus or zee...so even if a show is no.1 for its own channnel and manages to get to at least 1 mark...it will b considered as a huge achievement😳

If Geet today was aired on star plus in that 9.30pm slot..then mayb it would hv been the no.1 show all across channels..sometimes these ratings hugely depend on which channel they r airing
