Nothing Can Keep Us ApartPart 14 - The day after.
Usually Maan would awaken to the sound of his alarm. During the weeks he had been unaware of Geet's whereabouts, he'd slept so little he hadn't bothered with an alarm. The first sensation he felt as he began to wake was a strange, wonderful softness. He also felt fully rested for the first time in weeks. When Maan opened his eyes what he was was so unexpected that he thought maybe he was dreaming. Geet's face was resting on the pillows a mere inch away from his. One hand was under her cheek while the other was touching his bare chest. His own arm was draped tightly around her waist. His eyes flew quickly to her own, afraid of what accusations might be there, but Geet was fast asleep. He carefully removed his arm and moved to get up, but as he did so he felt something pulling him. Maan looked down and was surprised to see the taveez tangled in Geet's mangalsutra.
He quickly untangled them and sat up, careful not to wake Geet. Rubbing his face, he glanced over at Geet, trying to figure out how they ended up so close during the night. He was glad Geet hadn't waken up, seeing that he'd been so tired, he had only put on a pair of pants. Maan didn't know what Geet would think if she saw him without a shirt. Throwing back the covers, Maan got up and went out to start his customary exercise routine. Upon returning to their room almost and hour later, Maan saw that Geet still hadn't woken up. Taking out some clothes from the cupboard, Maan went into the adjoining bathroom to freshen up.
As Geet slowly began to rouse from sleep she heard the sound of a shower. Thinking that it was a strange sound to be hearing, she sat up stretching her arms, her eyes still closed. Trying to puzzle out where she was, she rubbed her eyes, and then blinked rapidly until her eyes were ready to stay open. Looking around she realized that she was in Maan's room, in his bed, still wearing her saree from their wedding the day before. Moving her eyes to look at the other side of the bed, she saw that it had been slept in. A frown started forming on her face as she turned to look at the closed bathroom door.
When Maan man came out of the bathroom, dress in an undershirt and pants, he was rubbing a towel vigorously over his hair, and didn't notice that Geet was awake. When he pulled the towel off his head, he saw her sitting up in bed, looking much too lovely with her hair wild and messy from sleep. Maan could have stayed forever drinking in her beauty, but he could tell his wife was angry with him.
"Why didn't you wake me up last night?" questioned Geet. "I wanted to talk to you."
"You were sleeping. I thought it would be better not to wake you."
Geet looked over at the other side of the bed and then back at Maan. "You slept on the other side of the bed, didn't you?" Maan just gave her a look that said "so what?" Geet continued, "You shouldn't have slept there, you should have slept somewhere else."
"Like where?" Geet looked all around the room, and not seeing any suitable furniture to suggest, told him that he should have slept on the floor.
"Excuse me? There's no way I'm sleeping on the floor in my own room, not when there's a perfectly good bed available. What do you think I would do to you, anyway? Do you think you're a pari, that all men will follow you crazily, with no self control? Do you think I have no self control?" Geet just looked at him with big eyes. Sighing disgustedly, Maan finished with, "Tum itni bhi haseen nahi ho."
When Geet heard that, she quickly got out of bed, pulled some clothes out of the cupboard, and angrily walked to the bathroom, muttering "I'm not that bad, either!" Once Geet had locked the door behind her, Maan smiled to himself, thinking that it would be a good idea not to let Geet know how much that last line of his was a lie.
When Geet came out of the bathroom about fifteen minutes later, drying her hair with a towel as Maan had done, she noticed that he was fully dressed and talking on his phone.
"Sasha, I not only won't be in the office today, but I will be too busy to take any work calls. I expect you to handle everything today."
"For what are you going to be so busy, you can't take work calls," asked a shocked Geet as she continued to dry her hair.
Maan pulled the phone away from his ear and covered the mouthpiece and he said, "Not me, Geet, us. We have to register our marriage this morning, then meet with our lawyer, and then you have a doctor's appointment this afternoon."
"An appointment for what?"
Maan just shook his head and replied, "For a check up of you and the baby of course."Precap:

Geet 1st day after marriage by neahakhan

Another exclusive interview with laxmi2010
Question: Why are you giving another exclusive?
Answer: *mittu* requested one, and I also thought that I needed some proof that I have original ideas, and am not coping from the show.
Question: Why would anyone think that you are copying the show?
Answer: As was seen in this part's precap, Sasha overheard what Maan was saying to Geet. She now knows they are married and that Geet is pregnant. As you can imagine she is not happy and will try to cause problems. Since the show is about to have something very similar with Maan and Geet spending the night, and with all the forum speculation about what people at the office might think of Geet, I felt that I needed to say that I thought of these scenes long before they got trapped at the office.
Question: When did you first get the idea for the Sasha scenes regarding Maaneet's marriage?
Answer: I started imagining what Sasha would do after the saree tearing incident when Maan talks to the office the next day and tells everyone that he dislikes gossip. (This is a big hint for what will happen, by the way).
Question: What's the big deal about having original ideas, after all you include the "And Thanks Goes To" section?
Answer: Yes, there are bits from the serial that I like to use, or base things off of, so that the story seems as true to the characters as possible. However, I like to make my stories as original as possible. With this cellphone picture track of Sasha, I am a little worried that it might be too similar to my own Sasha drama scenes, in terms of how the characters act, not so much the actual situation. I didn't feel like rethinking my Sasha scenes, just to look original.
Question: Couldn't you come up with other Sasha scenes that are totally different than the show?
Answer: Probably not. I think that I'm a pretty nice person, and so there's only so much believable bad stuff I can come up with for Sasha to do. Although, I'm always open to good suggestions.
Question: We're tired of Sasha! Can you tell us anything interesting about the future of Maaneet's story, now that they're married?
Answer: I like to keep the mystery as much as possible. However, I'm willing to give everyone a list of words that indicate what I will be including in the story as time goes on. The list is in no particular order.
Rain, Gol Gappa, Party, Flowers, Rahul😡🤢, Ladder, Vicky, Sword, Shopping, House, Secretary, Prosecute, Dance, Nightmare, Jealousy
Feel free to speculate.
