Hey...now am back n can post freely finally!

Well...you cannot generalize things naah

I mean...on one hand, there are parents who support their kids so much....right from the word go. They support them in any n every way 😃

Then there are the ones who want their kids to join their own professions...and yeah there are sucha typo parents still around!

My word on this is....you should go for your own dreams! It is the thing you can do best and it is the thing you WANT to do!

But first...before jumping into it, u should consult with ur parents about it n all snce they know so much more about the world and its intricacies than u can ever imagine!

There are some cases wherein the kids get into bad company and go into bad business...here you cannot say that the kids should have followed their own dreams instead of listening to their parents...

Here...the parents are right...aren't they?

So you can't generalize things can you? You can't just say...kids are right n parents are wrong!

So...follow your heart(ohky...ysh n niyu, rakhi, smriti...do NOT blush while reading this! 😆 😆 coz i meant it in a *purely* platonic way 😉) but first ask yourself if what ur doing is right or wrong...and ask ur parents and relatives about it too!

doing wat ur parents want or abstain from doing tat...tats not the isue..the thing is we underrstand wat our responsibilities are ...and ready to take it..but some parents are like tat who always want their childrens to understand they shud evenly understand them...i have met such parents who just want their child to do wat they want...i agree we shud always consider the view of our elders but shud never give up our aim coz its our...our dream offcourse

pheww awesme points raised all of you and i guess i hav woken up fmr my ignorent sleep to realize daat such an awesme DOTW has already been initiated 😉

neways i soo agree wod ysh that there needs to be a balance i mean ya in todays world i wld say finding totally othodox parents is a rarity but still they do exist and dey pressurise their kids to such an extent that in the end they ruin all her desieres and happyness and dreams al she becomes den is a machine to fulfiil the shattered dreams of her parents which dey demselves cldnt realize it and if their children fail they take it as if they hav failed yet again and remove all their frustration on them which eventually end up in family tentions and in many many many cases suicide as well

the biggest example of such a aprent was Yashwant Dev he dominated each and every move of his son in a way that somewhere down the line even Yuvi started thinking and functioning like his dad..but waat realy did he get out of it?...i mean not only did he made yuvi weak dispassionate and disinterested and way too self centred but also he aroused feelings of utter hatered in his son..for yuvis sake he got an Anvesha to show him the way to his dreams..but in reality its not necessary that all yuvis wld get their ashis is it?

so i realy feel that parents shld let children be atleast in this case i mean ya they deffinately do hav all the right on us and our lives but in the end its we who hav to live wid it and trust me its all abut performing out their in any profession or carear and if your heart doesnt lies in it then how can u even think of performing all life u wld be succumed to failures and taunts and traumas from your boss and peers and parents and eventually you wld realize it too that you are a big time looser but you wld forget one thing that its not meant for you and had you fallowing your dreams you wld definately hav emerged as a winner

its just baout taking that one step you just hav to push a bit more harder to make not only yourself but others to believe and help you persue your dreams you shld never shun your parents out form your aspirations coz as u all said in the end they only help us out most selflessly and wen we make it big in our respective feilds dey wld shoo sweetly say..."see told ya...i always knew dis is the right field for you and its coz of me daat u made it soo big..." 😉 😉 ..they are the cutest people ever arent they?...always end up feeling more happy abt us daan we ourselves are....

and ya one more thng this is a quote from one of my fvt books called ALCHEMIST its all about fallowing your dreams and your heart to the ultimate possible extebt it says....."if you belive in your dreams the whole universe conspires to help you to achieve it"....meaning simply that god helps those who help themselves....
the thing is we underrstand wat our responsibilities are ...and ready to take it..
i think u r so right that way...

because when the responsibility comes the rational outlook comes and with that you can make the right decisions...

i believe that parents knw the best for us... sure... but i also believe they can b pushy (not in my experience though) so what i suggest is a proper discussion... where u talk things out and try to gain a balance...

sometimes v r so confused and have no idea what to do and are automatically rebellious against what our parents say but finally they knw us very very very very well and i think we should hear them out and their reasons...

like in my case i was confused cos i wanted to become a writer but then got interested in NIFT and IIT and all tht in the middle so my mum told me what she thought was a good idea for me... this keeping ME in mind and not ME through her eyes but ME through objective eyes
(get me?) so in that way she made a lot of sense and im following that now...

Well I think that in this world of stiff competition …competition has crossed the limits and is now also among our parents .every one wants to be the best in the world and so they want there children become the best. Therefore, they pull their children in this competition. They don't even care what their children wish to do and so…they force them to forget their dreams and follow their parents
And when parents are of ancient thinking…..this feeling becomes common.
