This game is played like this.

Say first word was table.

Next sanjh said cable.

So only one letter was changed keeping remainjng letters and their position intact. But the word changed as a whole.

So TABLE

CABLE

SABLE

next cannot be sales thambu. Sorry about the lecture.:(

Say after that SABLE could become FABLE.

If my word was say pin. It could be pan. Then tan. Then tin. And so on.
