In 50 first dates, the actress is not an ALzeimer's disease patient, but she had an accident. But Alzeimer is a terminal disease; it leads u gradually to death.

But all things aside, this movie will definitely rock.. I Can't Wait!!!

I can be totally wrong here but my gut feeling is telling me that this movie is similar to the korean hit "A moment to remember" - The way Kajol was crying in Ajay's arms, the way she was disillusioned and stranded in the midst of traffic on a road, the way she was being treated in a hospital and u could sense Ajay's pain while the doctors were giving her medication.. And the scene that threw me off completely.. The post-it scene..where u see a bunch of post-its on a mirror ... They all point towards the fact that Kajol's character Pia has Alzheimer's disease and she is forgetting Ajay as time passes by and her disease becomes worse.. Hence, the post-its to remind her who she is, what she is supposed to do while she is alone at house, etc etc... I am pretty darn sure this is the same premise on which this movie has been made.. More info. on the korean movie which was a HUGE hit can be found on the following link:

A Moment To Remember = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Moment_to_Remember

And for those who would like to see a preview of A Moment To Remember, here is a youtube video:

Hey Sana you quoted this information from this website http://www.musicnmovies.info/index.php/2008/03/previews/u-me -aur-hum-2008-copy-of-a-moment-to-remember/

From ur post, we got to think that you actually found all those similarities between the films from the trailer. 😉

Nope.. I did not get my info. from any so called website.. In fact, look closely at the date the article was posted.. Looks like somebody has been going through this section for researching movies ~

I've made valid points and I posted all of this purely on my instincts. After all, I've got a mind of my own to think too.. I've watched A moment to Remember and have even made a signature on it long time back.. And being a die-hard fan of this movie, it was not hard to connect the dots after the 3rd promo aired where Kajol was shown being stranded on the road along with the post-its that kinda gave away the premise... I posted my observations on March 13, 2008 and looks my info. was copied and used on March 25, 2008 by this so-called website (which btw is the 1st time I have ever heard of...) ~

Want to hear something else on it? Well, I also think that the elements of the movie "Notebook" are incorporated in the movie.. The korean movie actually shows the lead actress dying at the young age.. On the contrary here, Ajay has incorporated the last part of the Notebook in his movie.. Kajol doesnt die.. She grows older.. She has a kid even.. And I can bet on anything that Ajay lives with her in that rehab facility and tells her the story of how they met n all from time to time.. I wont be surprised if the ending is like Notebook where both of them die peacefully in their sleep after having a cordial moment together. This again, my friend, is something that didn't happen in the korean movie.. So this one is a blend of both movies somehow..

I take allegations of copying quite seriously... So pls get your facts straight before you go on to say something.. In this case, it has hurt my feelings.. The only source that I took some info. from was wikipedia and I sourced it in my original post. I will leave things at that...

Cheers,
Sana~

Good for you then Sana!
Sorry but I seriously think you have blown this issue out of proportion. Nobody has alleged you of copying, but I only said that you QUOTED the information from the website. So, GET UR FACTS STRAIGHT too!
You can't force me to believe you, but since you have chosen to make me feel bad about myself, then that's my answer to you.
I'm not gonna answer u again, coz I don't like to get into futile debates. Good bye!

@ prophecyy: I am sorry that you feel that way but as far as I am concerned, quoting without references from a website (as per your post) or copying someone else's work and passing it off as your own both constitute as plagiarism! Terms may remain interchangeable, yet the concept behind both is same. Anyhow, you may choose to believe whatever you'd like.. But try not to hurt others while doing so!
