Hey
Ive read a few posts asking how to minimise hair growth (particularily on the face) the best method i have found is Threading 😊
Hair doesnt grow back for up to 3 weeks (some maybe less) and when hair comes back its lighter and easier to take out once u thread all over again..
I find it doesnt hurt one single bit.. okay when i go to do the brows the arch part hurts a little but not as much...
Heres an article i was reading:
This method of hair elimination has a number of advantages. For instance, it is neat, rather fast, inexpensive and it is considered to be less painful than plucking. It is good for eyebrows and its effect, like after plucking, can last up from two to four weeks.

Compared to waxing, hair removal threading has a number of benefits as well. First of all, it does not peel off a layer of skin. After the procedure the hair does not grow back as fast. Skin does not get as irritated and red. Hair removal threading can pull off specific individual hair. Besides, the hair doesn't have to be long, but just above the skin. The procedure will never produce more hairs or make hairs stronger. Hair removal threading is really good at picking up the finest hair from the surface leaving skin smooth.

As for the disadvantages, one of them is that it is rather difficult to find a specialist outside big cities. Hair removal threading can also cause pain and itching after the procedure. The method can have some side effects, such as skin reddening or puffiness, folliculitis, changes in skin pigment and a bacterial infection in the hair follicles.

A common price for hair removal threading is 5$ for eyebrows and more for larger areas.

The history of threading, or khite, is not quite clear. They say its motherland is Turkey. Threading hair is so similar to women in the Middle East and India that it may be compared to girls learning how to braid each other's hair. That's why sometimes the method is called Indian threading. Traditionally, threading is used for facial hair removal, including sideburns, chin, eyebrows, upper lips and cheeks. In Chicago, for example, threading performing can be found only in the Indian and Muslim neighborhoods, because most American cosmetologists are not stick to this method.

Some specialists in threading say that the method offers more precise movements and its results are more polished though flattering. They also state that this unique way of extracting hair defines the shape of the eyebrow much more than other Western methods, and it is able to give a more natural appeal than waxing.

In Jamaica there is just a handful of people who can professionally manipulate a string of thread to support your beauty ideals.

A lot of women having sensitive skin prefer this very method, because, as they say, it is less abrasive to their skin than waxing, for example. Most of them like the clean and defined finish that threading gives.

Of course, there may be some pain but the pain is relative, depending on the fact how sensitive and fragile one's skin is. But we should remember that beauty is pain!

So, the main disadvantage of threading is finding someone who can actually do it. It is really hard to find a practitioner outside big cities abroad. Though the technique is very easy to learn, it is difficult to find someone to teach it. Besides, the Indian community keeps the technique close.

Threading is an acquired skill, which one must learn from a skilled practitioner. It is a skill which needs time and practice in order to perfect. The technique can also be called a form of art, because it requires creating clean lines with precision and refining the quality, as well as the appearance of the face itself.

Threading is the optimal choice for those looking for a natural and beneficial technique of hair removal
I would disagree and say threading isnt that hard to learn AT ALL.. i went for my first session to get the shape etc then thereafter i started doing it on myself.. 😆
THE biggest no for women has to be shaving on the face.. dnt do it! it makes everything worse lol
I would recommend it to everyone 👍🏼 I havent had the skin pigmentation either..
All you need is a thread and that is it.. go into the thread/needle box at home and pull away 😆

for me when i go to a threading salon, it costs me 30 dollars. every 2 1/2ishh weeks.

i don't think it's worth it.
i thread my eyebrows and upperlips.
wax my forehead and armpits.
threading for eyebrows here is 8 dollars.. and it all adds up. which is ridiculous.
my cousins in canada do all their waxing in under 20 dollars.

Nice topic. Threading, costs me no more than five bucks for brows. I dont do upper lip and as it is too painful. Arms I get waxed. I would love to learn threading, it would save so much time, but I have very thick eyebrows and not sure if I could do the shape. But yeah, it is hard to find someone outside of the Indian community who does it well. Unskilled ones take longer to do it and its more painful. The fast ones do it much more cleanly and quickly.
When I go to India it runs me four rupees for just the brows, but they do the best job I have ever gotten. My friend did it once when I was on vacation, and that is how I went to threading.
Has few cons except that if the person is slow, it will be agony. 😭😭

$30 expensive much???? i live in Canada and to get your eyebrows done it's like $3-5 so everything is usually finished under 10 dollars.
