Part – 7
"Come with me"
There was a command in his voice that put her on alert immediately. But, before she could object his hands held her elbow and walked her away from the bar.
Her stomach clenched, and she had to force herself from not jerking away from him. As though he realized her thoughts he smiled coolly at her and pulled her with him.
She wanted to shout and holler and detach herself instantly from him. But she could not and not here in front of more than two hundred people. Had it been somebody else who had commanded her like that she would have been able walked off.
She wished to god that she hadn't laid eyes on him five years ago. The feelings that were churning in her were ten times worse than what she had felt for him five years ago.
Without her realizing, without her being aware they were in a private room and he was moving in on her. His body was closer to her and there was no one here in this room. It was only the two of them.
"Don't..." her voice sounded hoarse even to her. The panicky feeling was taking over once again.
"Don't, why shouldn't I? Don't I have the right?" there was mockery and taunting in his voice.
His breath was fanning her face and he bent towards her ear "Don't I have the right?" he asked once again in a whisper.
Her breathing hissed, "Please leave me, you lost that right five years back, Rajveer" her voice came out unsteadily as she avoided looking at his eyes.
"And whose fault is that?" he asked before gripping her hands and pulling her closer to him.
Naina winced at the hard grip of his hands on hers. But she quietly stood there not wanting to answer him. She knew that if she attempted to answer that one single question it would open up a Pandora's Box of memories.
She wanted to keep a tight lid on those memories but she could feel them trying to escape as though they didn't want to be hidden anymore.
He shook her as he pulled her face closer to his. He could see the dilated iris of her eyes. They were the color of almonds, an unusual translucent brown.
She averted her eyes first before she could drown in his. "Rajveer, please leave me alone" she said quietly.
"No" that was his only answer as he looked at her steadily.
She tried to escape his hold as heat crept up her body. "Naina…" he said authoritatively which effectively stopped her struggle.
"All those men out there thing you are an ice-princess, Naina but you are not, are you…Who better to know that than me?" he asked sarcastically taunted her, holding her hands and pulling her against him with anger slowly shimmering in his eyes.
She gazed at him not able to take her eyes away from his eyes.
She watched breathlessly as his lips slowly descended towards her.
She didn't like being kissed by him. She wished he would remove his lips from hers or get it done with soon.
He din't do it. His hands slid up her hands and settled on her shoulders as he pulled her tightly to him. His lips touched hers and fireworks broke out.
It took her back five years when he had first kissed her like this. When he had taken her in his arms and she had melted against him. But today when he was kissing her like that all she wanted to do was to fight back the sinking sensation and the lethargy that was taking over.
This time the kiss wasn't promising anything or was it gentle either. All it spelt was cool possession.
She held her hands to her sides trying her best to stop herself from reaching out to touch him.
One of his hands was holding her tightly to him while the other held her head from moving away.
After what felt like hours he let her go, lifting his head from touching hers he watched her standing there with a bemused look on her face.
His eyes again lit with amusement as he looked at her sari.
"Did you think you can escape from me if you dressed unflatteringly?" he said in a voice that send a cold shiver and shock through her system.
"It's time to stop running, Naina. Did you think I will never come back! You will not find a way to escape this time" he said in a voice that sent shivers down her spine.
His left hand again captured her elbow as he walked her towards the hall. "We'll go the hall now before you friend sends out a search party for you"
Heat flared in her skin as she realized horribly what had just happened. She had allowed Rajveer Sheekhawat the man she hated kiss her. A man who represented the things she hated and disliked to the core. He was someone who treated woman as commodity and as a conquest without bothering about their emotions.
Her breathing was labored as she tried to control the sharp dip in her emotions. She wished Huda was here so that she could make her escape.
Emotions fired through her. Outrage at the way he had kissed her. Supremely and confidently, helping himself to her as though her emotion and feelings had no say in the matter.
But the most stinging and humiliating effect had been to herself. The memory of what had just happened frightened her. She had succumbed once again to him.
Blind panic was setting in overriding every other emotion that was going through her.
But she could not get away. He had her elbow tightly imprisoned in his. Sensing her thoughts he pulled her closer to him as his hands left her elbow and pulled her tightly to him.
Rajveer walked through the hall engaging in social chit chat holding her against him the whole time.
As they made their way, panic was setting in her.
People were staring at them. She could see it in their eyes, speculation. By the time tomorrow rolled in everyone in the business community would know that Rajveer's latest conquest was Inder Walia's daughter Naina Walia.
She heard his words in her mind. "It's time to stop running…."
She had to run- had to let him leave her alone. Make it clear to him that how many ever woman fell in his bed she wouldn't be one of them.
How much ever he intended to have her.
Feeling like a mouse cornered by a cat, she could do nothing but surrender to her fate for now.
He did not leave her side nor did he let her leave. After what felt like eternity she saw Huda heading their way. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Huda…" she called out desperately waving to him to indicate where she was.
She watched as he headed her way. She could see that Huda was smiling at her tactics.
What's happening to me? Why is he doing this? I don't want to be near him. I don't like him…I hate him…
While she watched Huda approach them, Rajveer's hands slid behind her pallu and caressed the delicate skin on her hips.
"Don't touch me" she hissed and panic set in her eyes.
"Why?" he whispered near her ear as they watched Huda
"I don't like it" she said through clenched teeth.
"You liked it, when I kissed you a few moments ago…" before she could reply Huda was besides them.
