Chaahat Part 2

Dharam follows Veer,s glare and is equally shocked.There was a girl sleeping soundly on the silky bed.

Veer:Ye hum kahan aa gaye Dharam???

Dharam:Pata nahin,jab gaye the to is kamare mein koi nahin tha.Phir ye....(then as if remembring sthng.).Kahin ye Awadhi ki rajkumari...vandana..nahin...nandini..nahin..hmmmm..haan rajkumari nivedita to nahin??

Veer moves closer to the girl to have a better look.Then suudenly the girl opens her eyes and tries to attack Veer with the dagger which was hidden under her pillow.Veer holds her hands in defence and in this struggle,the girl slips from the silky bed onto Veer and dagger falls away from her hand.

Veer:Dharaaaammmm...!!!!!

Dharam who was in the state of shock till now regains his conciousness but doesnt understand what to do.

The girl stands up and rushes towards the dagger but now Dharam blocks her way and Veer stands behind her.Being trapped by the boys she decides to talk to them.

Girl:Tum dono ho kaun?Aur yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Veer;Yahi sawaal agar hum tumse karen to!Tum kaun ho?

Girl:Main..main Awadhi ki rajkumari hoon.

Dharam:Dekhiye home maaf kar dijiye hum galti se apke kamre mein aa gaye.Ab hum chalte hain.Veer tum bhi inse maafi maango.

Veer:Maafi?Aur isse!Kabhi nahi.Galti iski bhi thi na Dharam.

Dharam(irritated):Theek hai,Veer ab chalo.

Both the boys left the room through the balcony..

After they left the girl uttered"Akdoo"(meant for Veer)

Through the balcony they walked on the palace roof and reached their room safely.

Dharam:Veer,kabhi kabhi tum bhi bachchon jaisi harkatein karte ho.Rajkumari ji se maafi kyun nahi maangi.

Veer:Dharam usne mujhpe jaanlewa humla kiya aur maafi bhi main hi mangoo.aaaahhhhh...

Dharam:Kya hua..

Veer:Areeey kya bataun vo ladki jab mujhpe giri to aisa laga ki koi aasman toot pada ho.Awadhi ki rajkumari to badi hi bhari nikli aur Gussail bhi!

Dharam:Ab chalo verna pooja ke liye der ho jayegi.

Both of them leave for the main pooja hall.Suddenly

AV:Khan the itni der tak tum dono?/

DV:Ji.. vo.. hum..pitaaji..

AV:Chup ho jayo.Ab chalo hume tumhe kain logon se milwana hai.

Inse milo ye hain Awadhi ke maharaj.maharaj Mantareshwar singh(MS)

DV:namaste

MS:Aryanagar ke bhavi samraton se milkar khushi hui.

Then after meeting many other guests.Both the princes stand at a corner of the hall.

Veer:(sneezes)Thak gaya!Dharam kya yun sub logon se milna zaroori hai.Mujhse to nahi hota ye sub.(then he immitates AV)..Beta inse milon....unse milon...ab main akela kin kinse miloon?

Dharam(smiles):Veer,ye sab to karna hi padega chahe tum chaho ya nahin.

The pandit calls everybody to stand in front of the Lakshmi's idol for the pooja.

Veer catches a glance of the awadhi's princess standing near her mother but in a veil.

Veer:Waise to badi ttakat dikhati hai aur abhi ghoongat mein kitni shanti se pooja kar rahi hai ye rajkumari.Haina..

But Dharam was staring at another girl in veil standing amongst the common people.He was mesmerised by the way she was standing and carrying herself.

Veer shakes Dharam to reality

Veer:Kahan kho gaye the??

Dharam:Nahin kahin nahi ,kaho tum kya keh rahe the??

But by then the pooja was over and the celebrations began with a dance program.The dancers were from Awadhi and Dharam spotted the girl in veil dancing too.He was lost in her majestic dance moves.

MS(shouted):Kya!!Ye tu kya keh rahe ho?

Sevak:Ji Maharaj,kuch gunde Rajkumri Nivedita ko utha kar le gaye hain.Ye raha unka sandesh.

MS read it and was shocked.

AV:Kya hua maharaj,ve log kya chahte hain?

MS:Ve humse humari rakshak tabbez maang rahe hain.

AV:Kya??

Veer(to D):Ye rakshak tabeez kya hai?

Dharam:Pata nahin.

Mharani swati was trying to console the grief-struck Maharani sumitra of Awadhi.

MS:Hum kisi ko bhi vo tabeez nahin de sakte.

Sumitra(still crying):Kaise pita hain aap,apni beti ki bilkul chinta nahin hai aapko?

MS:Par maharani..

Sumitra:Nahin,hume kuch nahin sunna.Hume hamari beti chahiye bas.

MS:Dekhiye maharani ji aap pare....

He was interrupted by a girl in veil.."Pitaji,maa..aap dono ko pareshaan hone ki koi zarrorat nahin.Aapki beti sahi sallamat hai.Ve log humaari jagah Raksha ko utha kar le gaye hain.

Dharam was shocked to see that this girl was none other than the veiled girl he had stared at.

Veer(to D):Ye sab kya hai.Mera to sir chakra jayega.

Dharam:Is paheli ka hal to sirf us ladki ke paas hai.

I have named this ff as "chahat" which mainly means sthng u really want.this story defines the diff. bet.what u want and what u get.u dont always get what u really wish for either co urof ur destiny and sometimes ur responsibilities stop u chasing ur wishes.

Chaahat Part 3

The girl in veil,who was standing amongst the dancers came close to the sad parents and removed her veil.Both the king and queen were surprised.

Sumitra:Rajkumari nivedita aap?Aap theek hain.

Girl:Haan maa hum bilkul theek hain.Pitaji ve log humare dhoke mein Raksha ko utha kar le gaye hain.

MS:Chalo ma lakshmi ki kripa se sub theek ho gaya.

Girl:Nahi pitaji ve log Raksha ko utha kar le gaye hain.Aap kuch bhi kar uski jaan bacha lijiye.

MS:Hum kuch sainikon ko bhej dete hain.Ab aap apne kamare mein ja kar aaram kijiye.

The girl with tears in her eyes rushed to her room.

Dharam:Hume us ladki ke kamre mein chalne chahiye,tabhi sach ka pata chal payega.

Veer(sneeze)(teasingl):Waise to kisi ladki ke kamre mein yun jaana theek nahi par phir bhi chalte hain.

They follow the girl without letting other people know.On the way Veer sneezes.

Dharam;Aaaj tum itna cheek kyun rahe ho/

Veer:Areeyy!Vo maharaj MS ke mahamantri ki gandh ki vajah se.

Dharam(smiles):wah unki gandh nahi balki roopnagar ke khaas gulaabjal ki khushboo thi.Samjhe.

Veer:sneezes while nodding his head in agreement.

They reach the room to which the girl had rushed.

Veer:Ye to rajkumari nivedita ka kamraa hai.

The girl was looking out of the window.Suddenly Veer sneezed and she turned back to face them both.

Dharam was astonished to see this fair beauty and a childlike innocence in her face.Tears were trckling down her eyes.She wiped them and asked

"Aap log kaun hain?"

Dharam:Hum hain raajkumar dharam aur ye hai humara chota bhai rajkumar veer.

Veer:Kya aap raajkumari nivedita hain?

Girl:Haan.

Veer:Agar aap rajkumari hain to (sneeze)

Dharam completes veer's statement:To phir vo ladki kaun thi jisne khudko rajkumari nivedita batayaa tha.Aur jo pooja se pehle is kamre mein thi.

Girl:Vo humaari dost Raksha thi.Humare kehne par hi usne aap logon se jhoot bola tha.

Dharam:Kyun?

Girl:Hum keval ek din ke liye ek aam insaan ka jeevan jeena chahte the.Hum pooja mein aam logon ke saath nritya karna chahte the par ye ek rajkumari ki maryadayon se bahar tha.Isliye humne keval aaj raat ke liye Raksha ko ye naatak karne ko kaha.Par hume kya pata tha ki uske saath..uske saath(the girl breaks down)

Dharam:Dekhiye aap chinta naa karen.aapke pitaji ne sainik bheje hain na ..

Girl:Nahiin.. Humare pitaji ke liye Raksha keval ek aam insaan haiaur kuch nahi.Unka yehi maanana hai ki raksha nahi to kkoi aur sahi aur ve use dhoondne ki zyaada koshish nahi karenge.Par ve nahi jjante ki Raksha jaisi is duniya mein aur koi nahin..vo humaari sachchi saheli hai..

Dharam:Raksha ko hum surakshit wapas layenge.Akhirkar vo humaare rajya se gayab hui hai.Raksha ko kuch nahi hoga ye hum dono ka vaada hai.

Veer:haan.Aap keval humari kamyabi ki prarthana kijiye aur kisiko humari is mulaakat ka pata nahi chalna chahiye.

They walk out of the room.

Veer:To iska matlab ke yahi hai rajkumari nivedita jissne awadhi ke logon ke saath nritya kiya tha aur jis ladki ne mujhpar jaanlewa humlaa kiya tha vo Raksha thi.Aur pooja mein sachchai chupane ke liye in don ne ghoongat dal rakha tha.

Dharam(in his thoughts)"Humne aisa kyun kiya?Bina kuch soche rajkumari nivedita se vaada kar diya?Kya hum kisi khaas ki aankhon mein aasoon nahi seh paye?Rajkumari nivedita ko jabse dekha tabse unke chehre par gham ke aasoon jhalakte hain,unke chehre par muskaan dekhni hai humko..(then again)..par hume unki khushi ya gham se kya lena??Kya ye insaaniyat hai ya kuch aur.....

Veer:Dharam hume sabse pehle us sevak se milna hoga jisne maharaj MS ko sandesh diya tha.Agar maharaj MS ke paas gaye to ve pitaji ko bata denge aur phir pitaji kehne lagenge..Hume aapki phikr hai..Aap dono kab bade honge...Aap aryanagar ke rajkumar hain..Kuch to socha kijiye....

Dharam:Veer,ve humare pitaji hain.

Veer:Tabhi to darta hoon unse..

Both smile and reach the sevak.

Dharam:Kya aap hume bata saktein hain ki ve kaun log the jinhone aapko sandesh diya tha.

Sevak:Par rajkumar aap kyun jaanana chahte hain?

Veer:Jitna poocha jaye utna hi bataayo.

Sevak:Ji.Unke haathon mein, dakshin disha ke aswahi jungalon mein rahnewale, dakuon ka nishaan tha.Par aap log kyun pareshaan ho rahein hain?Rajkumari ji to surakshit hain.

Dharam:Par jis ladki ko ve utha ke le gaye hain,uski jaan ko to khtra hai na?

Sevak:Rajkumar aap dono ek aam ladki ki jaan bachane ke liye apni jaan kyun gavaana chahte hain?

Veer(trying hard to control his anger):Humaari marazi.tumse matlab?

Sevaj:Dekhiye us ladki se kahin zyaada mulyavaan aapki jaan hai.

Veer now holds his dagger at the throat of the sevak and says:Kisi ki jaan koi gehne ya kapde nahin jiska daam kum ya zyaadaa batayaa ja sake.Sabki jaan ki keemat barabar hoti hai .Smajhe ya tumhaari JAAN lekar samjhaoon.

Dharam stops veer as the sevak asks for forgiveness.

Dharam:Chalo Veer hume kisi ki jaan bachani hai.(And as if talking to himself)Aur kisi ko diya hua vaada bhi poora karna hai.

They move on.

In her room Rajkumari nivedita thinks"Humne saari sachai un dono bhaiyon ko kyun bata di?Hume un dono par itna bharosa kyun ho gaya?Na jaane kyun par hume poora vlshwaas hai ki ve dono apna vaada zaroor nibhayenge."

In a dark cell of the dacoits was the tortured girl Raksha,lying unconcious.Stiil she had a fire and glow on her face like a fighter.She seemed to be in pleasure just to think that her best friend Nivi was safe.

Dharam and Veer were on the outskirts of Aryanagar and about to reach the aswahi jungle,they just had to cross the bridge when suddeny.

"Ruk jao...Tum dono aage nahi ja sakte..."someone shouted from behind.They turned and were surprised

DV:Aap... yahaannnn????
