Part 1

"Friends Forever"

Shilpa in a wedding outfit looks scintillating but confused as most brides do on their wedding day,but the case is slightly more peculiar here

"No,that isnt why I'm crying ,Well, atleast not yet"

she gasped

She hadn't changed even a tiny bit in all these years,

analysed Naina

Karan on the other side is pleasantly surprised to have seen her after so long and goes back in time when he had a huge crush on her and thinks Shilpa was unaware of it.He now feels ready and available to re open that unexplored chapter

"Hmm interesting!"

"I actually had forgotten about this incomplete adventure I was on a few years ago"

he mumbles with a cheesy grin

which was bit worrying for his friends

coz they knew how hazardous his past relationships have been and felt it was too soon for another disaster to deal with

Karan gives one of the 'ready for yet another challenge' look and plans his come back deviously

Pankit knows this aint good for him,and to distract says

"Oye hang on,Barkha only moved out just today,don't you think you should wait atleast a day or two?"

Karan still adamant to explore says

"You know what they say guys

Kal karey so aaj kar ,aaj kare so ab"

PJ equally stubborn,tries a different startegy and this time a selfish one

"I think she needs me"

"I'm the dil ka doctor ,remember? and this seems like an emergency,please guys leave it to the professional and thats me

"Kuch is tarah ,teri pakley,meri palko se miladey"

"aansoo tere saarey,meri palko pe sajadey........................."

"wow!this song's deep man"

"it just sounds so sexy,don't you think?"

Pankit knows this one always works and gives himself an imaginary pat on the back for making a sad song turn into a passionately sexy tune

"PJ ,dude,do me a favour will you"

"spare her for heavens sake"

"She's just seems a bit too normal for you"

Mayank always has this certain sarcasm in his humour,which Pankit never seems to grasp

"Aewww huh huh hhuuhh"

cries Shilpa on her misfortune or may be good fortune this time,

just confused and unable to figure out what her screachy cry sounds like ,she leaves it to the audience to guess

"Oh Shilpz ,calm down sweety

take a deep breath and let it all out"

"Ok ruk, lemme get you some water ,then we can talk araam se"

"Do we really have to? "

says a cheeky Shilpa

Naina does have a clue of might have happened for her to end up in this state,but she leaves it to the person in question to confirm

May thinks of trying his charm on her,but what charm?

lets try it anyway

"Hey, hey

"Did I forget it was my wedding today? "

Shilpa gives him an ewww,is that your sense of humour? look and off she goes again

"Aeeeeeww whuh huh huh "

"Right,I think that made it worse somehow"

"I was only trying to to help"

Drushti to the rescue now

"Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww"

"Dee,what you crying for?"

asked the double troubled boys, knowing it might just be nothing to do with Shilpa

"Nothing!

"She looked a bit silly crying on her own"

"Just thought of giving her company"

"Thats all!"

"Did you guys think I was crying for myself"

"You guys are so dumb,Gawd!"

That is such a Drushti all agree in sync

Drushti had always been that sweet and that dumb

"Here you go,have some water and relax"

goes Naina preparing herself for the big blow coming soon

"Awww ,thanks Nainu,tu na hoti to mai kaha jati"

Shilpa tries to make her grounds stronger and starts the maska polish right away

"Okay this may be weird but why do I sense trouble when you say that?"

Naina knows the buttering has begun ,but tries not to melt already and thinks of doing a 'meet the friends' since Shilpa looks like she'shere to stay

"Shilpz,you met my friends?"

she gets started with the intros

"This is PJ"

"Pankit Jhangiani"

"How you doin?"

goes the loverboy,with a 'are u flattered already ?'look

which he believes does the trick,but little does he know what the others think

"Better,thank you"

says Shilpa trying to keep it short and sweet for the moment and giving his early advances a miss

"This is May"

sounds like gay she thinks and Mayank senses that unsure look on her face ,so decides to clarify

"Hi,I'm Mayank Singh"

"A fashion photographer and I live with PJ"

'There! knew there was something gay in him'she thinks and smiles,Mayank again knows the reason to that smile and elaborates

"Matlab,I mean I live with my friend PJ,is there a problem with that?

"Don't people live with their friends?"

he frustrates again

He has always been mistaken to be gay,and his efforts to prove to the world that he is as normal as could be never worked

"Awwrite Awwrite!"

"Shilpz this is Dee,another good friend of ours"

"She used to live with me,but not anymore"

Naina says that with less regret and more satifaction

"So you live on your own?

even better"

"Thanks dee for moving out"

comes Shilpa's second fine stroke

"Oh no problem,my pleasure"

"Infact I had to,I cudn't keep up with the cleanliness regime"

"I almost felt like a cross breed between a duster and a mop

like a mopster or something"

"So I decided to leave"

"and now I live in a room attached to the gym I work at which previously belonged to the watchman,but I threatened him to get out of there,'coz you know how hard it is to get to work if you lived far and Naina's house was quite far from the gym and now I live only a minute away"

"And you know the room I live in is quite luxurious,its more like a one bedroom flat,the watchman must have really sucked up to the gym owner to have earned it did ,but I was smart enough to snatch it off him,the owner of the gym really likes me but.........................."

Drushti has this very sweet and trasparent personality but she could be closely related to Pringles,

the 'once u pop ,u can't stop' thing

Clearly Drushti suffered with acute verbal diarrhoea but never seemed to get dehydrated with it

Shilpa ignores everything Drushti says after the cleanliness issue and panics thinking how she's going to cope and wonders if she'll ever be able to handle it

Karan gets impatient waiting for his turn and demands to be on the hot seat with Shilpa's 'Kaun banega iska future pati'game

Naina feels his restlessness to play and without further testing his patience gets him in the spotlight

"Shilpa ,you know my brother Karan"

Karan now relieved after the re-introduction gives her his famous ' Karan ,the flirt '

and

'Don't even think about sayin you don't remember me 'look

at the same time

"Yeah of course I do"!

she puts his mind to rest and phewww! ,he sighs

"Hi Karan,its been a long time ey?"

"Howz Barkha?"

"The last I heard from Naina was that she couldn't stand you talking to another girl?"

"That must have been wierd"

"How did you end up with her anyway?"

"You must have been desperate!"

Naina bites her tongue and pretends she didn't hear her name mentioned there but Karan heard it nice and clear and gives her a 'love you too 'look.He hadn't expected for the reunion to begin this way ,he had thought they would reminise old times but since she seemed quite up to date with his relationships he thought of trying his sure shot guilt trip to make it sound less drastic on his part

"Yeah ,I probably was at that time" he adds a fake 'I'm innocent' tone to enhance his misery

"But now its all over "

"I don't know how I ended UP with Barkha,but I've certainly ended IT with her"

He turns to his friends for the applause he deserves

for his 'how sad!' act

but they give him a 'what a player 'look instead

He's happy either way

"Now you tell me "

"Howz Mr.Akkkkk ........hmmmmmm ........shit?"

"Akhsit right?"

He knew the name very well but now that they were playing the insult game subcontiously,he felt it was important to strike a balance and to mention the nerd she was going out with,

he knew he'd win in style

Shilpa thinks she's above all competition and is in no mood to play this time round

"Hewwwww hueeeewww hehwwww!"

she goes again for the one last time hopefully,trying a slighty more tuned shrill for a greater impact

"Whats wrong Shilpa?"

asks Karan going back to his original plan

"I think all of him"

she says in regret

"Shilpz! yaar,don't you think you shoud give us some more detail of the story ?

"Hamey ye to bata shadi hui ya nahi?"

"Do I have to?"

She knows she has no choice now but gets nervous with the anxiety on the faces staring at her waiting to know the

'runaway bride story'

She gulps harder and takes another sip of water to wet her would be dry throat thinking of the length of the story she has to narrate.She hopes to say it all in one single shot,

'coz she knows the confusion she'd create this way will leave less loopholes for her to fill.

She has five pairs of eyes ready to grill

"Right"

"This morning when I called up my dad to say sorry for being a loser and eloping with that git to get married"

"Dad said I'd regret it for life"

"But hey,I loved playing rebel and could'nt care less of his fatherly advice "

"I still got ready for the wedding and got to the venue "

"I was watching the barat from the window and when

I saw Akhshit on the ghodi,I thought 'how cute is that'!

"The ghodi I mean"

"Then this whole flashback of events rummaged my head and

I thought I was more attracted to the little ghodi

bearing the immense weight of a ghada"

"I seriously had to make a decision that second so, I did"

"And here I am"

"Hope that made sense"

"Naina,Plz can I live with you?"

she requests with a puppy face that no human can say no to

She had tried it on numerous ocassions and it had always worked

"I knew this was coming my way"

"Fine! "

confirmed Naina,knowing how vulnerable Shilpa is

yipppeee!it worked again,Shilpa thought out loud

Naina thinks of making her known to the rules and says to pre warn her of the consequences of living with her

"Shilpz,you know Dee , moved out of my flat recently and

"Karan,my brother kicked me out of his flat '

coz he could'nt handle me"

"I just wanted you to know that,you can live with me for as long as you like,but I ain't taking no abuse"

"But Naina,I haven't even started yet"

Part 2

"The perfect date"

"Guys,I think you should all leave now"

"I need to get ready"

says Naina hoping to vacate the flat before her kind of blind date turns up

the rest of the crew wasn' t quite done with the welcome of their new friend and wanted her to know them well already

Naina feels the 'don't ask us to leave yet' look on all their faces ,so thinks of a different way to put it

" Shilpa seems quite settled ,aren't you Shilpz?"

Shilpa nods to agree in fear

"I'm sure Shilpz is tired ,all that running around must have knackered her"

Shilpa agrees with a puppy face not knowing if Naina was taunting or sympathising but she didn't really care about it as long as she's got her shelter sorted

"Yeah I 'm so tired too"

says Dee randomly with a weary look in her puffy eyes

"Dee,you werent even at work today and most of our shoot got postponed so how are you tired? "

asked a confused Pankit,expecting a very Dee answer

"Didn't I cry all along with Shilpa?"

"I might have even cried more than her"

comes the almost known reply ,but we're not done yet,she has to go on and on and so she does

*sigh*

"All that crying and feeling it for Shilpa has drained me out"

*sigh*

"I did'nt even cry so much when I tripped on the treadmill"

"What ?"

"You slipped on a treadmill?"

"How did u manage to do that?"

knows Mayank already but loved to hear her side of dramatic picturisataion

"Well it wasn't that hard"

"But it hurt"

"and more 'coz the girl I was training that day

had come with her 'oh so hot ' star boyfriend"

"and just as I tried to impress him with my skills"

"You fell flat on your face!"

"Ha ha ha ah aha ha "

laughed Mayank out loud

Dee and the rest wondered how he knew the story before she even told them about it

Mayank after laughing his heart out felt he needed to share the joke and spread the joy

"I know this story already,'coz that hot dude is my customer"

"what? ???"

jerked up a disgusted Shilpa

"you even run a business for..... your..... whatever you call it..."

"Yeah! I'm a photographer,didn't I tell you ?"

"and thats my business"

Shilpa smiles in her head to have doubted him again

but she wasn't the only one who had that thought

Karan had a similar expression to hers

Mayank now used to that look he gets says in defence

"I guess thats not what you guys thought,when I said customer"

"You guys are really messed up in your head"

"and sorry to say Shilpa,I know you've only joined us today"

" but have gelled really well with these freaks already"

"Great!"

"I give up"

"How many times have I told you guys"

" that I'm as normal as Karan Johar"

"yeah exactly!"

says Pankit with a cheeky chuckle

only for it to turn into an awww!,when he sees Naina walk out of her room looking ravishing

" Hey beautiful "

Pankit winks with a 'not bad' expression

and had to sing the perfect song for the situation

"sajna hai tujhe,champu ke liye.........."

Naina takes that as a compliment but panics as the time nears for her date to arrive

and now orders them to leave with a 'Today!' look

"Awwrite now,chill"

"we were just leaving "

says Mayank in reply to her annoyed look

"why you getting all restless"

"whats that all about?"

"you've been out with guys before"

"why is this one so special?"

asks Pankit hoping to extract the real reason for her impatience,but Naina denies it all and stays stum

"I guess the Champu dude is one lucky man"

says Mayank to compliment Naina on her efforts

to impress her date

Drushti is really inquisitive about Naina's date and doesn't wanna be left out

"Can we plz stay to say hello?"

she expresses her desire to meet the special guy

"No!"

comes the immediate reply as the door bell goes

"Ting tong"

Naina runs to greet her date

"Hii!!!!!"

she says a with a wide smile,which narrows in real soon

"Hello!"

"I am Champak Choudhry "

"MBA with distinction"

he boasts pulling his trousers up and fixing his thick glasses

"Are you Naina?"

she so wishes to say no

"Yeah,I'm Naina"

'unfortunately' she mumbles

"Give me 2 minutes"

"I'll just be back with my handbag "

she tries to conceal the horror she's just been struck by

and keeps him waiting at the door to avoid making it worse

and runs into her room quickly to make a decision

while her friends thank her for this oppurtunity to meet the most eligible bachelor of Delhi

"Hi Champu"

"I mean Champak"

"come on in,Naina'll be a while"

says Karan escorting him inside

"Hi,I'm Naina's brother,Karan"

"and these are our friends"

"Hello ji"

he says with a strong Delhi accent and tries to wave

pulling his trousers up the third time since he walked in

and fixing his glasses for the nth time

"How are you Champak jee?"

"and by the way apki tel ki dukaan hai kya?"

asks Pankit and loves Naina to have give him a golden chance to grill the poor guy whose hair was dripping with oil

first he'd thought,it might be raining outside and his hair got wet,but that wasn't the case he concluded,after observing the rest of Mr.Choudhry

"Na ji"

"Mera to stock market ka business hai"

clarifies Champu

"Acha?"

"to phir aapne koi oil shares excess me buy to nahi kar liye?"

goes Mayank joining the tease

"Hmmm??? mujhe aisa kuch yaad to nahi padta "

"Ek min rukiye"

"Mai apni diary me dekhke batata hoo"

he ruffles through the pages of his

more encyclopaedia less diary and scrutinises every detail to give an accurate answer

while Pankit whispers to his friends naughtily

"yaar!"

"Agar ye cool aur handsome hai to mai Salmaan Khan hoo"

"haan yaar isko dekhke to lagta hai"

"Naina stock broker zaroor ban jayegi "

"aur bas belt aur chashme ke shares khareedegi"

"dekh kitni baar pant upar karta hai"

says Mayank finalising his opinion on this so called happening guy

Drushti just watches him constantly and

and runs away with about

"I think I'm gonna be sick"

"urrghhhhhh"

Karan baffled by the Champu effect goes

" Naina iske sath date par jayegi,to meri izzat ka kya hoga?"

"Look at the guy man,seriously"

" I 'd rather have my sister go the spinster way than go out with this ......thing......!"

He thinks the guy is no where close to the human race

and belongs to some sort of geeky alien clan

Shilpa is the last to comment but as they say

last but not the least

"Naina,you can take Akshit if you like honey"

"Even though I ditched him 'coz he was a ghada

but he sure is way better than this bandar"

"Naina babes ,you need help!"

" dumping him would be good for starters"
