Part 14:


Recap: Ranbir and Kanya fall asleep in the library together and in the morning someone walks in and sees them

The sunlight was shining on kanyas face so she turned her back to ranbir and he hugged her tightly from the back. She felt so good being in his arms again.

She opened her eyes for a second and then shut them. Was someone really standing there? She opened her eyes again and rubbed them. It was none other than SHANAYA!

Kanya jumped out of Ranbirs arms, causing him to wake up as well

K: shanaya? When did you get here?

S: kanya whats going on? Ranbir what the hell is this

R: listen shanaya I think its time we tell you. Kanya is it okay if I tell her

Kanya just nodded and ranbir put his arm around her.

Ranbir told Shanaya the whole story of how the fell in love and Kanya is pregnant with his baby. And how Kanya wants to separate from Ayan because she doesn't love him and he doesn't care for her.

At the end of the story Shanaya sat down next to Kanya who was in tears

She just hugged her and they both cried

S: kanya don't cry please. You didn't do anything wrong. You deserve to be loved and I always knew that one day you would find it. Ayan was never good for you and im soo happy that your splitting from him. Ranbir is a great person and you 2 will raise the baby together so well

They smile at the thought of the baby and living together.

S: ranbir have you told Malikka chachi yet?

R: no not yet

K: can we tell her later on today? I want to go home and freshen up first and then maybe tell my parents first?

R: yeah sure. But if you want to tell my mom first, she can come with us to your parents house?

K: no. I don't want you to get yelled at by my dad infront of your mom. It will just worsen matters

S: come kanya ill take you home.

R: thanks shanaya. And please stay with her

K: no its okay. He shouldn't be home at this time. I'll be okay

R: alright then. Ill come and pick you up at 1 and then we're going to the doctor

K: why? I'm perfectly fine

R: its not for you. Its for my baby!

Shanaya laughs: you guys are way too cute together. I can't believe I never noticed it before.

Ranbir hugs her and gives her a light kiss on the cheek. Kanya blushes and gets up. Shes still in Ranbirs kurta

S: don't worry no one is home right now so you can walk to the car in this. I'll be downstairs

She leaves. Kanya turns to Ranbir and he picks her up in his arms

K: Ranbir put me down!

R: no

K: please!

R: hmm. Are you wanting to go down or the baby

K: both!

R: okay this is only for the baby then. He smirks and puts her down

K hugs him tightly: I love you soo much ranbir

R: I love you too. And this time your mine and only mine

They kiss and then they walk hand in hand downstairs to where Shanaya is waiting. Kanya gets in the car and leaves with her

Ranbir goes back up and quickly showers so he can go to the office and finish all his work in 2 hours to meet with kanya.



Shanaya and Kanya pull up outside Kanya's apartment building.

K: Thanks Shanaya.

Shanaya hugs her

S: are you sure you don't want me to come up with you?

K: yes sweety I'll be fine. Anyways his cars not there and I'll be out of the house in 2 hours. I'm just going to pack my suitcase in that time and then Ranbirs coming

S: call me if you need anything. I'll be in the area

K: okay thanks. Byee

Kanya gets out and leaves. She walks into the elevator with a big smile on.

K: everything is finally going right in my life. I'll be with the man I love and we'll have a baby soon and I'll be out of the hell marriage. And my parents will love ranbir. Thank you GOD! This is all because of you

She goes to her flat and unlocks the door. The flat seems normal. Nothing wrong but for some reason she has a shiver go down her back. She hesitantly tip toed in.

She walked past the kitchen and headed towards her bedroom. She almost reached there when she saw something that made her heart drop and gut flip upside down….Ayan


K: Ayan tum..yahaan?

A: its my house. I'll be where ever I wan to be

K is freaked out but decided to act normal and leave ASAP!

K: excuse me I need to go in the room

A: wait don't you want to tell me something?

Kanya froze and she could feel her forehead and palms starting to sweat

K: umm no

A: no I think you have something to tell me… some good news?

He took her hand and dragged her into the family room.

K: Ayan I don't know what your talking about. Please let me go!

A: no! this morning your Aunty called

K: my Aunty?

A: Malika…Malika Nanda

K: She wanted to know if you were home yet and Congratulated me

K turned around and closed her eyes. She was so scared for the next moment

A: so do you want to tell me the good news now

She said nothing, so he turned her around and said

A: your pregnant Kanya! We're having a baby

She looked at him and he was smiling. But soon his grip around her began to tighten. And his face became aggressive

A: but I don't get how you can be pregnant when we haven't done anything in soo long

Kanya still just stood there frozen

A: so tell me who's it is?…. you won't say anything like this, will you

He's about to hit her and kanya closes her eyes BUT she doesn't feel his slap. Instead its just quite. Theres a sort of safe feeling around. She slowly opens her eyes.

All she sees is Ranbir standing there holding onto Ayan's arm

A: what the hell are you doing here?

R: don't you dare touch her again

A: oh I see. This is your job kanya (he points to Ranbir) you say you go for office work but its really for your own pleasure, or more for his! That's why I was wondering how YOU got to work with the Nanda's but now I know. He just uses you. He bloody sleeps with you (he turns to ranbir) how dare you sleep with my wife?

R: listen its not what you think. Me and Kanya love each other and its best if you just accept it. And I know that your and Kanya's marriage is already over. We're leaving now and I'll send the divorce papers. Come on Kanya lets go

He takes kanya to her room and they pack her clothes. They go back out to the hall and Ayan is still standing there

He grabs Kanya

A: please kanya don't leave me

K: Ayan its too late. I tried so hard to make things work but now I love Ranbir. Just be happy for me. Just be a friend

Ayan looks at Kanya and she finally has a glow to her face after so many months. Shes holding ranbirs hand and they look good together

A: go kanya. Go be with him and be happy

Kanya just squeezes his hand and smiles: Thanks Ayan. Bye

She turns around to Ranbir and hugs him tightly

R: come on lets get going now

They pickup her stuff and leave. Kanya finally feels free and feels like shes out of a cage. They go in his car and go to the doctor for a check up. Once the check up was done they go back to his car and sit there in silence.

K: so where next?

R: kanya I think its time we go to your parents

K: no Ranbir, I'm really scared

R: come on Kanya we have to do it

K: okay fine. But only because your with me

He kisses her lightly on the forehead.

R: don't be scared and tell them everything truthfully. They will be mad but I know our true love will melt there anger

They soon left for Kanya's house. When they got there kanya was hesitant to get out but Ranbir made her. He rang the doorbell and she hid behind him

Anand and Pammi both came to open the door.

A: Ranbir Nanda?

R: yes actually…

P: who is this?

A: oh Pammi this is Ranbir Nanda. The owner of the Nanda Company. But what are you doing here? If you needed to talk to me you could have called me. I would have come

R: actually no uncle I umm…I needed to talk to you…actually we did

A & P: we?

R: yes, we

He moved a bit to the side and kanya came out infront of her parents

P: kanya beta, come inside

They both followed Anand and Pammi inside

A: is everything okay. I hope my daughter didn't harm your business or anything.

R: no uncle. This has nothing to do with work. Its about our personal lives

A: Kanya! Whats going on?

K: papa..actually the thing is…I don't love A…I love him…I don't know how…I'm sorry

Ranbir held her hand and gave her an assuring smile. She wiped her tears and looked at her parents who were really confused!

SO kanya told them the whole story of how her and Ayans marriage fell apart, how she met ranbir and fell in love, and then how Ayan blackmailed her to stay with him for her families love

K: and now I can't stay with Ayan anymore. I want to be with Ranbir and…our soon to be born child

P: what?

K: yes mom. I'm having a baby

Pammi's eyes filled with tears and she came and kissed her daughter

P: don't worry beta everything will be fine.

She looked back at Anand who was sitting there still, taking in everything he heard

Kanya and Ranbir got up and went and sat next to him

R: I promise you I will never hurt kanya and will love her and our child forever.

K: I'm sorry papa I hurt you so much. But I really love ranbir and can't live without him

R: please forgive kanya. Shes suffered a lot already

Finally Anand gave in and accepted both Kanya and Ranbir. Kanya finally felt that everything was alright and that there would be no more problems. But Ranbir from inside knew that next big problem they had to face…his mom!
