PART 28

R: Come in! Kaun hai?

Jai walked in and Armaan and Riddhima made themselves presentable. Jai looked horrible. His face was still swolen from Armaan's merciless punches. He had a swollen lip and bruises all over.

Y: Yeh kya chal raha thha Ridu? Agar tumse control nahi hota mein Uncle ko jhaake bol doon ke tumhe shaadi abhi isi waqt karni hai?

R: (laughing) Shut up Jai! Shaadi ki hume koi jaldi nahi hai! Pehle Di ki aur phir tumhari...

Riddhima stopped what she was saying. She didnt want Jai to know what she, Armaan and Shashank had talked about earlier. Luckily, Jai was busy feeling his wounds so he didnt hear what she had to say. She changed the subject.

R: Mujhe bathroom jaana hai.

J: Toh jao na! Yahan hume kyun keh rahi ho?!

R: (walking to Jai) Gunda!

She stuck her tounge out at him and made her way to the bathroom limping. Armaan saw this as the perfect opportunity to let bygones be bygones.

Ar: (nervously) Suno Jai?

J: (turning around) Haan?

Ar: Listen Jai, mujhe maaf kardo. Im sorry. Maine tumhe galat samjha.

J: Its ok. Tume khud nahi pata thha ke mere iraade kya thhe. Lekin haan Armaan mujhe tumse baat karni thhi. Tumhare gusse ke baare mein. Ridu ne mujhe tumhare baare mein sab kuch bata diya. Yahan tak ke mujhe us din ke bare mein bataya jab chhat pe tumne kalai katne ka nataak kiya thha. Phir tumne uska haath marordne ki koshish ki! Look Armaan, mujhe pata hai ke Ridu ziddi hai aur kabhi kabhi sar phiri ho sakti hai. Lekin iska yeh matlab nahi ke tum uspe koi bhi zor daalo. Tumhe pata nahi hoga lekin maine tumhari kamzoori ka faiyda uthaya. Tumhare gusse ka. Kyunki mein tumhe dikhana chahthathha ke tumhara gussa tumne kahan tak le jah sakta hai. Aur meri buri jalat toh tum dekh sakte ho. Abhi tak toh maine Riddhima ko kuch nahi kaha hai kyunki abhi usne theek tarah se recover nahi kiya. Lekin uska bhia waqt ayega. Tum dono ne apni apni taraf bahut saare galat kadam uthye hain. Par ab nahi. Kyunke ab yeh khel nahi hai. Riddhima ki zindagi ka sawal hai. Mujhe kisi ka baap banne ka shokh nahi hai lekin tum logon ne mujhe majhboor kardiya. Riddhima ke saath khilvad mujhe hargis manzoor nahi. Ok?

Armaan looked at Jai with a blank face. Before Armaan felt like Jai was "anti-Armaan" but now he realized that Jai was actually "pro-ArmiRidz."

Ar: Dekho Jai. Mein tumhari dost ka khayal rakhunga. I promise.

J: Good.

Riddhima walked back into the room as the boys shook hands. Jai extended a friendship hug to Armaan. Seeing this, Riddhima was at peace.

J: So maine suna hai ke hum sab Muskaan aur Rahul ke ghar jha rahe hai? Toh aap taiyaar hai apne sasuraal jhane ke liye, Armaan?

A: Jai, maine ise samjha samjha ke thak gaya, ab finally ye maan gayi aur ab tum phirse mere liye musibat kada karna chahte ho?

J: Nahi, nahi. Im just joking yaar! Lekin haan tumhare liye problem toh hai.

Ar: Sirf mere liye nahi, tum sab ke liye problem hai! Muskaan ki family mein paagalpan ki bimaari lagti hai.

Little did these interns know that their trips to Patiala and Lonavla would change their lives forever.

A few days later, Riddhima had started getting better. It seemed as if love was her cure. Armaan spent as much time with her as possible, but made sure that he didnt neglect his responsibilities toward his patients. The other interns were also busy with their patients. Everyone was trying to make sure their patients were taken care of before they left for their trips. Riddhima herself managed to get out of her bed and see her patients. Luckily, Armaan had taken care of everything. Afterall, they had the same patients. When Armaan got a chance to meet Riddhima in her room, the only thing that they could discuss was how Jai would fall in love. He didnt care what they discussed, just as long as he was with the woman he loved.

A: (discussing Jai) Tum pareshan kyun hoti ho? Bhagwan hai na? Unpe chord do!

R: Armaan, mujhe pata hai lekin tum bhulo mat ke jab tak Jai ki shaadi nahi ho jaati humari shaadi kabhi nahi hogi.

A: (shocked) Haan, mein toh bhul hi gaya. Jab tak Bhagwan hume ek lardi nahi bhej dete, yahan kuch nahi ho sakta!

R: Shayad hume mandir jhaana chahiye. Bhagwan hamari madat zaroor karenge. Yaad nahi? Jab us aurat ka bachcha hone wala thha, tab maine Bhagwan ke paas aashirwad liye thhe. Aur Mini? Mini ke liye bhi tumne arti ki thhi!

A: Tum theek keh rahi ho. Waise bhi, hum ek nek kaam ke liye jha rahe hain. Bhagwan hamari zaroor sunlenge!

R: Abhi chale?

Armaan looked at the clock in Riddhima's room. The evening aarti would start soon.

A: Tum kaparde pehen lo. Mein bahar tumhara intezaar kar raha hoon, ok?

He naughtily winked at her and gave her an air kiss. Then he walked out of her room. Anjali had brought Riddhima some extra clothes from home. Although she was physically better, Shashank wanted her to stay at the hospital until the night before the interns left for their trip. Riddhima took a good look at what Anjali had brought her. She giggled at what she saw.

R: Perfect! Armaan ke hosh urd jayenge!

Outside, Armaan was getting impatient. THe evening aarti was going to start soon and Riddhima still wasnt ready. He went to the door and tried coersing her to come out quickly!

A: (yelling to the door) Riddhima! Jaldi karo warna der ho jayegi! Salwaar kameez pehen ne mein kitna waqt lagta hai?

He turned around and walked to the otherside of the hall-literally inches away from Riddhima's door, when the door opened.

R: (sweetly) Mein taiyaar hoon.

A: God Riddhima finally!

As he turned, he saw the most magnificanet creature. Riddhima was framed in the doorway looking absolutely stunning. Armaan stared at her in amazement.
